Chemise discontinued

Substandard but Sexy

This Black Bouquet chemise by DreamGirl ripped the very first time I wore it. The outfit is cute for one wear but falls apart fairly quickly and the mesh rips easily. I love the look and fit but not the quality. I don't like the asymmetry of the design and ended up doctoring and babying it more than I would like.

extremely useful review
This little outfit is a chemise with garters.

From the top down

This outfits straps are simple black stretchy cords that are very similar to bra straps. They adjust and are very easy to fit to your size. The adjustment part is plastic so this is the first indication that this outfit is a little cheap.

These straps were weird to me because only one of the straps ended in a bow. There is a bow on the right hand side but not the left! The bow is not detachable and is pink which doesn't match the rest of the chemise. I would suggest just tearing it off if you don't like the way it looks.

The bra portion of this chemise doesn't serve well to push up very well but it does have some support. I wear a C cup and I believe the breast support was adequate. I can't see this chemise being sturdy enough for much bigger breast sizes.

This chemise doesn't have any actual slimming effect except for the pattern. The front panel serves to slim down your appearance by being thinner and running vertically.

The mesh of the rest of the chemise is Terrible
-it rips
-snags
-has the general appearance of a fishnet stocking and is just as easily torn

The bottom of the chemise is a good length. I am 5'3 and it covers my butt and doesn't ride up at all.

The garters run extremely long; I measured mine at the fullest length at 16 inches. I didn't need the whole length but I appreciate the added length so I could wear shorter stockings. This is also helpful if you happen to be taller.

This outfit is extremely comfortable and if you want something that is nice for a one time use, look no further. Mine ripped after one wear and the entire back mesh portion is quickly unravelling. This is not an outfit built with quality in mind so beware!
Experience
The mesh is extremely cheap and rips easily. I offered this garment to a friend after it was ripped because I didn't want to throw it away, she didn't even want it!
Follow-up commentary
After the chemise tore I cut out the front panel and sewed it to one of my old corsets. The outfit looked cute after I doctored it up but unless you want to buy a piece of fabric I suggest leaving this outfit alone. The netting is very flimsy.
