Purple lace floral sleeved chemise - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Bullfanch

I wasn't sure how well this would work for me, since I'm very fair-skinned and the pictures of this chemise are very purple, but I went for it. It turned out fine for me, as my guy is a pretty big fan of purple and it contrasted wonderfully with my ivory skin. This top comes in a wide variety of colors, and it was kind of hard to pick. I think it might be hard to go wrong, too.

Overall, the chemise fit very comfortably. It felt like I was wearing a long-sleeved medium t-shirt. It wasn't too tight or itchy. The only "tight" area was the upper arms, and they weren't a problem for me. I'll post the measurements below, but this fit pretty comfortably, and the mesh has enough give to accommodate a little more flesh if needed.


The chemise sits just off the shoulders and has flared wrists. Both make it more flirty and sexy. The flared sleeves aren't flared enough to get in the way of anything. The open shoulders are comfortable and don't feel like they need constant adjustment. The chemise does come with detachable straps for the shoulders.

The thong is pretty standard. It isn't a g-string. The crotch is lined. If you have thicker hips, it likely will dig into your skin. The thong stretches, but... like I said, it'll probably dig in a bit if you're thicker. I tossed mine aside.



The material the chemise is made of (90% polyester, 10% spandex) is surprisingly not itchy or scratchy feeling at all. It was also both cool and warm. I didn't feel overheated ever when wearing it, despite it being long sleeved. When I wore it during colder months, feeling the material on my arms gave me a sense of warmth, even though it is mesh.

I've only washed my chemise once. I just tossed it in the wash in a lingerie bag and let it drip dry. It seemed good as new when it was dry, so it should hold up well as long as you don't accidentally rip it. The care instructions do suggest that you hand wash and line dry, so wash at your own risk!

My #1 complaint with this chemise is that, if my nipples are soft and not "pointy", the material flattens them out and they look strange. Other than that, this is a great piece of lingerie!

I've worn this chemise several times now and I definitely still love it! It has held up well to several washes and my boyfriend still likes seeing me in it. I have no complaints about the quality of the garment or the material it is made of.
