Sweet Dreams bra set - bra and panty set discontinued by Escante - review by gwenevieve

This four piece set crafted by Escante truly is a sweet dream come true. As soon as I saw this go up on the site, I knew I had to have my hands on it. It's got everything I've been looking for: ruffles (but not too many), off-colors, sweet yet sexy. It's perfect. I see a lot of people complaining about how they're sick of pink, and I agree for the most part, but this is truly a gorgeous set. The grey and pink are amazing together, and you can't really tell, but there's some light yellow accents on the bra, which really pulls this whole color scheme together.

This set comes with a wired bra (note that it doesn't do much in the way for support, but the bigger your breasts, the better for this set, I think), cute, ruffly full-back panties, which actually include a nice lining unlike a lot of panties that are in sets. I know a lot of you were worried it'd be weirdly cut out in the back of the panties like in the chemise set, but it's not. It also comes with a lovely garter belt that won't do much in the way of actually holding stockings up and, other than the straps, does not even actually adjust, but it will definitely look nice on an evening in. The thigh highs that come with this, well, they're not nude for someone as pale as me, but I think that a nice pair of light pink thigh highs would look lovely with this, or even a light yellow. A true nude set would look amazing, as well.

This set came to my doorstep in an inconspicuous box, as always (thank you, Eden!), and hung nicely on a hanger wrapped in a paper bag to prevent damage from other items being shipped (in my case, some lube.) It was actually the first time any lingerie I've ordered from EF has come wrapped and hung up like this, and I was very impressed. There are huge tags on every piece in here except for the stockings, which come in a small bag and wrapped around an even smaller piece of cardboard. The tags are easily removable and trust me, you will need to remove them. They are huge and annoying and a waste of paper. They do tell you how to wash this set, however, and that's something you need to know, except that it's just like every other set in the world, practically. Wash with like colors in cold water, don't iron. Hang to dry.

The material is elastane and nylon- we all know how annoying nylon can be and I have no idea what elastane is but it sounds equally as annoying. However, this set is surprisingly comfortable. Now, I wouldn't give it 5/5 on comfort- wire bras do not equal comfort to me- however, I wore this set underneath my clothes all day and it went perfectly fine for me. I never found myself terribly annoyed except for the fact that I was wearing a bra and let's be honest, nobody likes that. This set is truly sheer- well, all of the grey parts in it are, anyway.

One unfortunate thing about this set is the fact that it only comes in 2 sizes- small, and large. However, the panties are stretchy, the bra is a good size (I wear a size 34B which is probably not the right size and I probably need something a little bigger but regardless, the cups were just a little big for me, but not too big as to where this looks bad or I can't wear it out, just sorta ill fitting.) Which means that someone with a bit larger of a chest size could definitely fit into this. I think a "medium sized person" could easily fit into either a small or a large, depending on "which side" of medium they are on. Use your best judgement and if you doubt anything, order a large! You can always return it if you made a mistake.

I love this set and would definitely recommend it to someone looking for something cute but simple for themselves or to really wow someone else. I think this would look good on anyone, and it's great that you can wear it underneath clothing inconspicuously so you can really spring it on that someone special, or just as a dirty secret for yourself when you're out at work or running errands.

I still adore this set, so does my husband and so do my customers. It has held up nicely. No threads have come lose, the elastics in the panty are still holding up, and it looks just as beautiful as ever. It's a shame this set was discontinued. If you can find it elsewhere, definitely go for it. The colors are amazing.
