The Case Of The Disappearing Ta-Tas.

The Jesse Corset by Leg Avenue is gorgeous and affordable. I was able to fit my XL body into the size large because of the lacing in the back. I'm a bit disappointed that the sides of the corset are quite short and the trim is a bit irritating, but overall, it's a nice piece and I'd recommend it.

extremely useful review
The Jesse Corset by Leg Avenue is available in sizes S-L. I ordered the size large. I had purchased this corset to wear out in public beneath a cardigan. I purchased this awhile back and didn’t keep the packaging but I believe it arrived in a plastic bag with no text or photos on it (don’t quote me though). There was a tag on the corset with the brand name, product name, size, and had a photo of a model wearing the piece. The back of the cardboard tag had the material composition, care instructions, and company contact information (you can quote me on this because I have it right in front of me).

The corset is 80% nylon and 20% spandex (exclusive of decoration). The material of the corset does not have any stretch to it other than at the top of the cups. The centre back of the corset laces up though which can add width to the corset by loosening the lacing. There is quite a bit of lace too which is nice for people like me who need to add quite a bit of width to a size large piece (I regularly wear XL).

I’ve taken measurements of the corset laying flat. The laced back was done up tightly with no space between it. This is the tightest fit for the size large, but again, you can add width to the corset by loosening this lace as needed. If you need additional measurements, send me a message and I can get them for you.

Chest (armpit to armpit): 13 inches
Length (armpit to bottom): 12 ½ inches
Length (down centre back): 10 ½ inches
Cup width: 7 inches
Cup length: 4 ½ inches
Width of bottom of corset: 16 ½ inches

There are 10 plastic boning pieces in the corset; 4 in the front, 4 in the back, and 1 on each side. The pieces on the sides of the corset do not extend all the way down the side. The boning starts at the armpit and is approximately 8 inches long. There are 2 other boning pieces, 1 down the centre of each cup. I’m not sure why there is boning in the cups, but there is.

The cups and down the centre front of the corset is red with a polka dot mesh material covering it. The rest of the piece is black. The polka dot mesh is also used as a trim along the top of the corset and it runs along the top back as well. There is a very thin padding in the cups, though there is no underwire. Just below the centre of the cups, there is a large, black bow (not detachable).

The corset does not have loops inside of the piece for garter or shoulder straps. The only type of closure on this corset is the laced back. This was my first piece that only had a lace back without any hook and eyes, zippers, etc. The best way to get the corset done up is having your partner/family member/friend, etc to help you with tightening the back. My partner wasn’t home when I tried the corset on so I had to makeshift and do it myself, though it would have been better if he were there to help me.

The inner material of the corset was comfortable against my skin and I didn’t have any problems with this. One part that was a bit irritating was the mesh trim along the top of the corset. The mesh is a bit coarse, and when it rubbed against my chest it wasn’t so much painful, but irritating in the sense that I knew I wouldn’t want to wear it for an entire evening out. The care tag states that the corset should be hand washed in warm water and drip-dried. Use only non-chlorinated bleach when needed and do not iron the piece.

So when I went to put the corset on by myself, I loosened the lace back as much as I could and put the corset on over my head and pulled it down to wear it should be. I pulled the lace ends as tight as I could while I stood there looking in the mirror backwards to see what I was doing. It was fairly easy getting it tighter, but I wasn’t able to do the best job by myself. It would have looked a lot better if I had my partner around to tighten it as much as I need it to. I strongly suggest you have someone help you with the corset when putting it on.
Experience
...continued

The first thing I noticed was how awkward my chest looked. Well, not so much awkward but it had seemed they disappeared! I wear a C cup and wore the piece without a bra. Since there is no underwire in the cups, my chest hid beneath them. The second thing I noticed after noticing my chest disappeared was the mesh trim rubbing against my chest as I walked. It wasn’t painful where I had to take the corset off immediately, but it’s definitely noticeable. I would not be able to wear this for an evening out on the town, though I could tolerate a couple hours at a time.

I'm 5’6 and the length on the sides and back of the corset was a bit too short for my liking. I’ve got chubby hips so the last thing I want to do is show them off. The corset is great length in the front. It’s too bad the rest isn’t just as long. Below you can see a few photos of me wearing the corset. The first is a front view, second is a side view, and the third is a back view. I had to take these photos myself since my partner wasn’t here so sorry if they aren’t as decent as the normal ones I have in my reviews.

In all three of the photos, you can see how the length is too short on the sides and back so my chub is hanging out. In the first photo, you can see what I mean by disappearing chest, and in the third photo… well, that was my attempt at doing the corset up by myself. It’s not terrible, though it could have been done nicer with some help from someone.

I’ve decided to give this corset a 4 out of 5. I’d really like to give it a 3 and a half but that isn’t possible. I’ve deducted one star for the trim being itchy. I would have deducted a half a star for the length on the sides of the corset, but then again, some people may like this.
