Wetlook waistcincher - cinch discontinued by Coquette - review by subwayrailings

Oh boy. I have bought a lot of cheap fashion corsets in my time, (and this waistcincher, while it is excellent, does still fall into the category of 'fashion corset'.)

They sell quite a few of these styles on EF. I'm talking about the awkward goth-prom-dress look, which for many of us is as close to our dreams of Victorian corsetry as we ever get because REALLY quality corsets go for a hundred bucks and up. And all of these affordable corsets had that sort of embarrassing fit, you know: the corset just appears to be laced very tightly; hugging your body (maybe even digging into your skin at the lacing) instead of transforming and shaping it.

But not so with this beauty: my silhouette was cinched right in. My posture was transformed. In a good corset, it becomes impossible to slouch, or even bend down without thoughtful attention to your own movements, which to be honest is all very sexy. I am very thin but I am not curvaceous and don't naturally have much of a waist. I'm more of a boxy shape. Wearing this made me feel amazing, and I'm sure it would be equally flattering on literally every other body type.

The corset feels plastic, obviously, but in a not at all unpleasant way. It is a bit squeaky. It's shiny and sexy and gothic. I honestly thought it looked cheaper than expected until I put it on, and understood how strong all the individual components actually are. It is a solid construction and it really 'hugs' you. I have worn it during sex but did take it off at some point during. But I wouldn't say that it can't hold up to that kind of wear, or that it was too uncomfortable: I merely felt overwhelmed and wanted to take a break and get back to the more familiar territory of naked. I have not tried cleaning it yet, but I'm sure just water would suffice and not damage the pvc. I have had help lacing and then buckling it every time, though I'm sure I could learn, but this really just speaks to the excellent quality of the claps. They really hold their place.
