Satin and lace corset with hook and eye closure - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by Ilovelingerie

The Satin and Lace Corset by Coquette is one of the most gorgeous corsets I have seen in my few years of lingerie shopping. It has a beautiful design and a very unique color that will leave your lover gasping for breath when you step in the room.

I admit that when I was going through my wish list to see what things I could afford to splurge on next, I was a little skeptical about ordering this corset. I had different concerns and questions, like "Do I like that bow? Is the color going to look the same when it arrives? Will it be flattering to my figure? Would this be right for my honeymoon? Do I want to spend that much?" et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. Eventually I took the plunge and decided to just add it to my cart (after all, I could always send it back for a full refund if it didn't work for me). Well, it got here today, and all my questions have been answered. I couldn’t be happier!

The fit is amazing and is honestly one of the most flattering pieces of lingerie I have bought so far.
The color, though not exactly what it looks like in the model picture, is still very beautiful and is a very different color than your typical red or black lingerie.

As far as the question went about whether I would take it on my honeymoon...the answer is a 100% yes! This is exactly what I was looking for, and I am so happy that I ordered it. This corset was definitely worth every, single penny I spent on it. In fact, I am now wishing it came in more colors because of how much I like it. I put it on, and I thought, "Wow! This is gorgeous!" It was a huge self-confidence booster, and I can‘t wait until my soon to be husband sees it on me. I know the sex will be good that night.

As far as the quality goes, I am very happy. The whole thing seems very firm and very well made.
The corset can be put on and taken off two different ways, since it has the lace up back, and it also has the closure in the front, so that is always nice. The fit is adjustable (I got the size small), and it fits me perfectly when completely tied in the back and on the tightest closure in the front.



This corset is also worry-free, in case I ever gain a pound or two, since it has two different hook and eye closures in the front, as well as the adjustable lace-up back. It still has plenty of room, so when ordering this, you don’t have to be to worried about the fit.

Another great thing about this corset is that you don’t have to be worried about the lace coming out or having to re-lace it since the ribbon is rounded at the ends and cannot come off.


Just for reference for those who are wondering, the bust area is not padded at all. There is just boning there, like there is on the rest of the corset (this isn‘t ever specified on websites anymore for some reason), which is something I like to know when I order lingerie. Also, at the top (bust area), there is a place to attach bra straps if you would prefer to have them.


When ordering this, be aware that it does not come with matching panties, thigh highs, or a garter belt, but it does come with the attachable garters that you can use if you so choose. If you do want matching items for it, Coquette does make a bra, panty, and garter belt set that matches perfectly - it comes in the same exact color (I ordered this too, so I know firsthand that it works great).

Also, a little plus for this product is that it's made by Coquette, and Coquette's products are always packed really nicely and come with a high quality hanger you can use and keep.

I have not used it yet other than to try it on, but I was so happy with it when I did that I felt that I just had to get the word out on this great product. I will do a follow-up review in a few months...after my honeymoon...to give you the details on how this corset holds up, but I have really high hopes for it!

I am still so in love with this corset! It is still one of the most flattering pieces of lingerie that I have and I am absolutely in love with how I feel when I am wearing it.


After using it and washing it a few times it is still in great shape and there are absolutely no rips or tears in the fabric.


Just so all of you know I wash this corset by hand when necessary and I let it air dry.

I am convinced to have this corset for as long as I possibly can… so I don’t want to take any chances by putting it in the regular wash.


Anyway, I am still absolutely in love with this product and I still highly recommend it to ANYONE who likes corsets, or even anyone who is looking to try out something new!
