This Set Can Have A 'Cameo' In My Bedroom Any Night

My only complaint about this set is that the cups of the top are made for bustier women and my B cups couldn't adequately fill them out on their own. However that isn't enough to deter me from making this purchase again if I had to. The cameo medallion and ruffly lace add something extra that set this chemise apart from others.

extremely useful review
I love cameos, and as you probably already know, just about all things pink. So when I saw a review for this set floating around this site, I had to read it, and after reading it, I decided I had to own it.

The packaging is pretty much what you would expect from Leg Avenue. Small box with a picture of a model wearing the set on the front, the back features the same picture only more dulled to match the background, as well as materials and washing instructions.

This set comes in two sizes, S/M and M/L. I ordered the S/M and according to Leg Avenue, I should be a size 5-8, cup size A-B, with a bust of 32-36", a waist of 23-27", and hips of 34-38". Personally I'm about 5'2, I weigh about 105, around my bust measures 31" and underneath measures about 28 1/2". I've got about a 25" waist with 33" hips and I wear a B cup. For the most part everything fit ok, the cups were loose on me.

For the other size available, M/L, Leg Avenue recommends that you be a size 10-14, with a cup size of B-C, a bust of 34-38", a waist of 25-29",and 36-40" hips. If your bust size is close to the size measurement of the smaller one but you have larger breasts, order down a size.

The top is somewhat of a racerback style. At least that's the closest thing I can think of to describe it. I've included a picture to show you what I'm talking about. Along the top of the cups is a white lace with a black ribbon weaving its way through. Where the cups meet is a cameo medallion that measures just under 2" long and 1 1/2" wide. Underneath that is two layers of ruffly lace, similar to that of the 1800's. I thought it was worth taking a picture of to show you, so here that is. The straps are made of a black stretchy material and go from the outer edges of each cup to a point in the middle of the back. Each strap measures 14" laid flat, but will stretch to 23". About 2" above each cup is a small black bow. The entire top is made of a sheer pink lace with little flocked polka dots. From the bottom of the top to the top of the back measures 16". Across the bottom from seam to seam measures just over 18" laid flat. Across the top of the back measures 12 1/2" but will stretch to just about 18". From the top outer edge of the cups to the bottom of the top measures 20". Underneath the bust measures 14" but stretches up to 18". There is a distinguishable cup area with elastic sewn in for 'support'. Each cup measures about 6" across and about 5" tall. Along the bottom of the top is a very thin black edging.

The thong is made just like the top, with the same pink lace with flocked polka dots and the band of white lace with the black weaving ribbon. On both the top and the thong this band measures about 1" long. The edging of the thong is made of the same material as the straps on the top and meet in an awkward 'Y' at the back, instead of a 'T' like most g-strings. I'm including a picture of that and if you look closely you can see the band of white lace through the inside of the thong. The triangle of the thong measures about 5 3/4" across at the top and another 5 3/4" down to where the lace ends. There is no downward stretch to the triangle of fabric.

I would avoid being too rough with at least the top to this set as the medallion is only held on by a few strands of thread. Otherwise just exercise normal caution.

The back of the box says that this set is made from 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex, hand wash separately, drip dry, do not bleach. There is one tag located on the inside of the top that I would almost recommend just cutting out as it just relists the materials and only lists washing instructions in Spanish and is pretty itchy.

For storage you can keep this set anywhere you keep your delicates. I personally keep mine in a ziploc bag stored in with all my other ziploc bags of lingerie.

If you have a black bra or one that matches this shade of pink you could definitely wear this out as a more risque top in the warmer weather.
Experience
Now after all the lusting after this set I was doing above, I was devastated to find that EF had discontinued this set! So I went hunting around the interwebs and did manage to find this set at a price similar to what EF used to sell it for (I seriously saw some sites charging over $40 for this set), and soon it was on its way to me.

I am almost in love with this set. The cups are definitely not made for smaller breasted women. As mentioned above I'm like, a solid B cup and the little elastic band underneath the cups on this top sat underneath my breasts just fine, then there was some bunching of the fabric and then the tops with the lace sat across higher up on my breasts. I had my sister who's a solid C cup try this top on to let me know how it fit her and she didn't have any of those problems. I think you could safely go to a small to medium size D cup with this top, and that's just the smaller size.

My only other issue with the top was the fact that I don't like having the cups of my lingerie be see through. I like leaving a little bit to the imagination, and especially considering that this set was supposed to have a bit of that Victorian era flair, I thought the cups would be solid. But oh well, wearing this top with a padded bra should solve all of my problems with it.

The thong, meh, I wasn't all that fond of it. It's super cute, but not all that comfortable to be honest. If you have a pair of black underwear of any kind that you find comfortable and sexy, I would almost recommend going with those instead.

If you can find this set for a decent price, I say it's well worth it.
Follow-up commentary
I have a lot of lingerie that I try to give fair chances to, and while I still like wearing this, I admit that I don't wear it very often. The top looks cute over a tank top, and I've worn it a few times that way, but it hasn't seen much action. Still worth finding if you have a thing for cameos though, and that's one reason why I think I'll still keep this even though it doesn't get out much.

Great review. I had the same problem with the lingerie I just received. It's adorable in every place but the bust. In the bust, it makes me look like a seven year old. Gah. x.x

I have the opposite problem...too much breast on one side! Makes my shoulder straps fall off and everything looks lopsided. Sounds and looks like a super cute set though.
    Great review!

Mistress, that's the biggest problem I have with all lingerie. I think companies need to take the time to measure women of all shapes and sizes and make their lingerie sizing more specific, because I would be willing to drop the extra money needed to make sure that it's gonna fit me correctly.

Airen, it was adorable. I have a lingerie top similar to this that I've worn out with a shirt and I plan on doing the same with this one.

    Thanks everybody
