Satin mask and wrist cuffs - bdsm kit discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Madeira

Here's the skinny, this is a really cute set, the mask is great, and the cuffs are... cute. The cuffs are thin and close with velcro, frankly they're less cuffs and more lingerie, cute little wrist bands more than anything else. So, in terms of the blindfold, this is great for all levels of use, it's not absolute blackout, you can get a sliver of light under the eye depending on the shape of the wearer's eye area. The cuffs however, are slightly itchy due to the placement of the velcro and if you can't escape these within the first two seconds of using them for bondage, then something is clearly profoundly wrong.

This set is very pretty, and the blindfold is well made enough to stand up to it's use, it's red satin with pink satin trim, and pink satin bows, held with an elastic band around the back, which is very stretchy and should fit almost anyone's head. The cuffs... are a different matter, the material is well sewn together, but the ribbons designed to be attachment points are cheap and would never hold up to real struggling if it weren't for the velcro closure that yank open long before one has a chance to harm the ribbons, and the placement of the velcro itself is odd and somehow manages to expose bits of the scratchy part to the delicate inner wrist.

The blindfold worked admirable, kept out light, didn't allow me to wriggle it off, and looked hot in the process, but the cuffs are a total failure. Besides their flimsy velcro closure holding up to absolutely no struggling whatsoever, the scratchiness of said velcro makes them useless as accessories as well, which is a damned shame as they are very cute. I use the blindflod regularly both as a blindfold and as a sleep mask, the cuffs... sit sadly at the bottom of my toy box unused.
