Mini lace dress - gown by Fantasy Lingerie - review by Breas

The Mini Lace Dress by Fantasy Lingerie is available in one-size-fits-most only. I wear a size XL. I purchased the dress because I thought it would look fantastic over a tank top and pair of jeans to wear in public. I figured that even if the OSFM was a bit too tight to wear in public, I could always wear it in the bedroom.

The outfit arrived in a cardboard package. The front of the box has a photo of a model wearing the outfit and states the company name. The back of the packaging has a back view and front view photo of the model wearing the outfit and states the product name, colour, size, suggested weight bracket for the OSFM, material composition, care instructions, company website, and company contact information. The box is attractive looking but not ideal for storing the outfit when you’re not wearing it. I keep mine in a drawer. The packaging can be recycled.



Inside of the cardboard box, the dress is folded and tucked inside of a plastic package. The outfit includes a matching g-string. The packaging states that the outfit is 100% nylon but the care tag in the outfit states that it is 88% nylon and 12% spandex. The material is very stretchy and it is sheer.

Waistband unstretched: 13 inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 23 inches
Widest part of material that covers your front area: 5 ½ inches

Dress
Chest (armpit to armpit): 15 inches
Chest (armpit to armpit) stretched as much as I could: 33 inches
Sleeve length (armpit to bottom of sleeve): 19 inches each
Width at bottom of dress: 16 ½ inches
Length of dress (armpit to bottom of dress): 22 inches

The dress has a high neck. The collar is just a tad over 1 ½ inches in length. The collar is a double layer of material so it’s thicker than the rest of the dress. The dress has long sleeves with a thumb cut out near the bottom of each sleeve. The cut out that you put your thumbs through is 2 ¼ inches from the very bottom of the sleeve. The cut out is a decent size and should not be an issue for anyone, especially since you can stretch it.



The included g-string matches the dress. It’s all white in colour with the same lace as the dress at the front. The g-string is trimmed with elastic band so it can be stretched quite a bit. I didn’t try the g-string on because I already know that OSFM panties give me scary amounts of muffin top. Luckily I didn’t purchase the outfit for the panty. There is no lining in the crotch.



The packaging states that the OSFM is best suited for those between the weights of 90-160lbs. I’m somewhere in the high 160’s so I’m above the highest weight in that bracket. I am 5’6 in height, wear a C cup, and my hips are 41 inches.

I was able to fit into the outfit but it was tight. Not an uncomfortable tight… more like an ‘all-of-my-chubbiness-is-revealed’ tight. I like the dress over top of a tank top and my partner really likes it for bedroom wear. The outfit falls just beneath my crotch. I’m able to stretch it down a bit but when I’m not wearing pants it creeps up and when I am wearing pants, it rolls a bit at the bottom.



There are no cups to the dress, and no padding or underwire in the chest area. My C cups fits fine into the dress. The material is stretchy so a cup size larger would be fine as well. I didn’t find the high neck to be a problem for me. It wasn’t tight or uncomfortable. The lace material does feel a bit itchy after wearing the piece for a while. It’s not unbearable like some lace lingerie pieces that I’ve tried but if you have sensitive skin, you’ll probably want to avoid this dress.

The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed separately in cold water and dried flat. The outfit should not be bleached, twisted, or wrung. You’ll probably want to cut the tag out of the dress. It sits near the bottom of the dress and is black in colour. With the material being sheer, the tag can be seen while wearing it.

Overall, I think it’s a cute piece that can be worn in or out of the bedroom. I’ve deducted one star from the rating because the lace isn’t as soft as I would like it to be. It’s a pretty piece and a great price. I plan on getting another one when it comes back in stock because I’m prone to staining white clothing.
