Sheer criss cross teddy set - teddy and stockings set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Mistress Jezebel

The Sheer Criss Cross Teddy by leg avenue is a beautiful, but very delicate addition to my lingerie closet. It arrived in a beautiful, little box with stripes in two shades of pink with a photo of the model on it. I was very excited to instantly try this on. I instantly ripped the package open and found what were the stockings and the teddy in a clear wrinkly plastic bag inside the box. My initial reaction was "Huh? what's this?" Upon opening the clear package, I took out what appeared to be the stockings and teddy. They were tiny and thin. I instantly compared the material to that of the pantyhose that are sold for 50 cents at major stores inside of the vending machine style plastic balls with the caps. When you stretch the teddy out, it looks the size of a legless onesie for a 6 month old.

I was pretty let down thinking it wasn't going to fit but I dared to try it on. It was a pain trying it on by myself as I was trying to be extremely careful not to snag it on anything. Once I finally got it on, it fit me comfortably, but it felt a bit awkward to walk in because I was too scared of ripping it. When I finally got used to it I decided to take a look in the mirror to see the final results. I'm very short, 5'1 to be exact and I weigh 150 pounds. This teddy did me no justice as one of the "bigger" girls out there. I do not suggest this to anyone if they have the ambition of looking thinner and are not extremely in shape. Basically, this teddy will not give you the effect on the box unless you're the exact same size of the model on the box (and it will be a bit hard to get on).

Overall, this is a very fairly priced item that will look great on athletic and slim bodies. It's a one size fits all teddy however, and if (like me) you're one of the larger women, it will fit you but the proportions might be off (example: the stripes wont be situated directly over your breasts to cover it)
The reason I give this teddy only 3 stars is because although I like it and I think it's fairly priced, the material could be TONS better. I've seen many other leg avenue products which have held up beautifully, but this is one of those ones that you really need to be careful with if you want to preserve it.

This teddy although very delicate has held up very surprisingly well. True, it does have a few snags here and there but once it's on you can't really tell. I still hold up to what I originally said about this not looking very flattering on anyone who doesn't have the exact same body as the model in the photo though.
