Black halter top - tee discontinued by Espiral - review by PassionQT

This is a very cute, sexy top, fit to wear to a venue where this type of revealing clothing is appropriate, or simply to wear for a hot night at home. There's no need to worry about finding a necklace to wear with it, it already has one hanging off the neck tie! Just find some other cute jewelry to match and either a skirt or tight pants and you are set. It's not a conservative top, so if you are nervous about showing a lot of skin in the front and the back, you may want to pass on this one or pick up some "titty tape" to secure the front in place, because it's not exactly the most bra-friendly top to begin with; however, it's very comfortable, loose-fitting, and soft. It's available in black, which is a great, classic, color for anyone.

Packaging & Material
The shirt arrives folded in a plastic wrapper, with a manufacturer's tag attached. It's made in Colombia, Central America. The material consists of 94% Rayon and 6% Elastan, but it has a soft, cotton-like feel and look to it. It's not shiny nor polyester-feeling, and is opaque enough not to reveal the skin underneath. The Elastan is helpful in that it gives the fabric a bit of stretch where needed, particularly around the hip/waist band and for the neck tie, so that it gives with movement, making this piece very comfortable to wear.

Washing instructions: Handwash in cold water and hang dry. Extra care should be taken with the necklace, which is why it's best - not to mention less noisy - to handwash this piece. Although the "bling" could technically be removed, it would not be without some effort restringing the neck tie back through the folds of chest panel material- it's best to leave it on, take care not to get it too wet, and just wash the main body of the top in a sink. Eventually the necklace might started to fade or rust, since it's made out of some basic, silver-colored metal.

Design
The top consists of two front panels that criss-cross in the lower front near over the stomach. There will always be a plunging neckline, but by either gathering or stretching the topside of the panels along the necktie, the amount of chest and stomach showing can be adjusted to one's level of comfort. The backside of the top is open, so if you have a sexy back, this is a great top to show it off in. It doesn't expose the entire back just the upper half. Overall, it's loose fitting, and billowy toward the waist section, so you may want to purchase some fabric (titty) tape to hold it in place. There are some conversion bras out there, but you might be hard pressed to find one that won't show straps, even the clear ones. Unless you need bra support, this top is best worn without one.

The silver-tone jewel tassle pendant consists of a larger 1-3/4 inch diameter hoop at the top, with a smaller 3/4-inch one below, and hanging from that are 3 silver chains, roughly 4-1/4 inches long. The material is unknown.

Sizing
I ordered a large, which fits a 38 inch bust, and I'm a 38D. It seems true to size, although I probably could have worn a medium also because this is a roomy top. I've found Espiral Lingerie's sizing to be fairly consistent across the board. They are one of the companies I trust to have something that fits me, in addition to Coquette things.

I like this top and received several compliments on it. Generally this style doesn't want to stay in place on me without some kind of tape, but this one has enough material that it did. Here's a picture review for you all:

I almost forgot I owned this top until I found that I needed to do a follow-up on it. I have only worn it once since my original review, so it's still in like new condition.
