True bliss chemise - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by SMichelle

There is something about the True Bliss Chemise by Escante that just makes me feel like a sexy little princess whenever I wear it. Maybe it's the lace, or the bows, or the cute little ruffles at the bottom---whatever it is, I'm in love with this piece. I love it so much that I often find myself wearing it just to lounge around the house in.

What's Included:
When you purchase this item, you will receive two pieces. The first (and main) piece of this set is the chemise itself. The chemise is primarily white, with pink trim. The second piece is the matching white g-string. There is no pink trim on the g-string, however.

This item does not come with a hanger, so you will need to provide your own if you wish to hang it up.

Sizing
Escante has made this chemise available in three sizes; small, medium, and large. I purchased the large.

According to Escante's size chart, one should fit into the following measurements for the large:

Sizes: 10-14
Cups: C-D
Bust: 36-38
Waist: 32-34
Hips: 34-36
Weight: 140-160

I was slightly hesitant to purchase this item as my hips are bigger than the measurements listed. In fact, my hips are more like a 40. Despite my worries, I decided to take a chance on this item, as it is so beautiful. I'm glad that I did, as my hips fit just fine into the chemise.

The most important measurement for this piece appears to be the cup size. I, personally, had some trouble fitting into the cups, and I typically wear a C/D cup (my size varies with brand). If I don't have the piece adjusted just perfectly, I find that I am either spilling over the cups, or that my breasts are going under the underwire (which is just not a very good look). Still, I am able to adjust 'the girls' so that they sit nicely in the cups, it just takes a little bit of effort. I would advise anyone who is bigger than a C cup to avoid this piece though, due to the small cups.

Aside from the cups, all other measurements are flexible. This is due to the fact that the lace material is extremely stretchy.

The included g-string is also extremely stretchy, and could fit someone much larger than what Escante's size chart may suggest. Despite the fact that g-strings rarely work me, this one fits me amazingly well.


Material and Care:
The chemise and g-string are both made out of 95% Nylon and 5% Elastane. The lace material feels very stretchy, and also very soft. I love how it feels against my skin. The ruffle at the bottom of the chemise is not quite as soft as the lace portion, but it is still feels comfortable against my skin. Even after wearing both the g-string and chemise for several hours, the material is completely comfortable. It's not itchy, or irritating, in any manner.

The interior of the cups, and the pantyliner in the g-string appear to be made out of a cotton-like material. This makes it so that the cups and thong feel soft against our more delicate body parts -- and so that our breasts do not show through the cups of the chemise. If one wanted, they could easily remove both the liner, and the cups by simply cutting them out. Doing this would not ruin the piece, although it would give the piece a very different look. Personally, I have no desire to cut the lining out, but there are some people who would enjoy the transparent look that could be achieved by doing so.

The straps on the g-string are made out of a very stretchy, elastic material. There is a lot of give, so the g-string will accommodate a wide range of sizes.

The straps on the chemise are also very stretchy, but not nearly as stretchy as the g-strings straps. This is a good thing as too much stretch would make it difficult for the chemise to provide any support at all. The shoulder straps also feel very soft, so they are comfortable to wear for a long period of time.

To care for this piece, the tag recommends hand washing it in cold water, and then hanging it to dry. This is how I wash it, as I love this piece too much to risk damaging it in the washer. That said, you could probably wash it in a lingerie bag, with the washing machine set on delicate. I wouldn't chance throwing this in the dryer, though.

When storing this piece, I would recommend hanging it up in order to ensure that the cups don't get misshapen.

Design:
This item is so cute that I really don't see how anyone could resist it.

The lace material has a sort of flower and leaf pattern going on it, which looks very beautiful. There is also the pink ribbon bows, which provide a hint of innocence to this very sexy chemise. Then there is the ruffle at the bottom -- which may be my favorite thing about the piece. The ruffle makes it look very, and feel, very playful, and sweet. The ruffle also serves the purpose of making the piece sort of "flare" outward in a very subtle manner. This creates a very sexy silhouette.

One thing that you should know is that the bows are not removable, and I really wouldn't recommend trying to remove them. The piece is just not going to be as cute without them. That said, if you really wanted to remove them, you could do so with a seam ripper.

One major design flaw with this piece is the simple lack of support in the bust. The underwire does nothing for my breasts, and probably won't do much for anyone above a B cup. If I could change anything about this piece, it would be more bust support. The adjustable shoulder straps do provide some support, but it's just not going to be enough for bustier girls. Other than that, I adore how the design of this piece makes it fit my body. It hugs my curves in all the right ways, making me feel amazing.

The g-string's design is very simple. You simply have a triangle of the lace, a cotton pantyliner, and a elastic straps -- and that is your g-string. Simple as it is, it works great. It's comfortable to wear, and it looks cute.

For those who want to know about the style of the pantyliner -- the pantyliner is not sewn shut, so there is room to slide a bullet in, if you choose to.

Packaging:
This item arrived wrapped in pink tissue paper. There was no plastic bag to protect the piece from water damage that may occur during the shipping process, which was slightly disappointing. That said, the chemise arrived to me in perfect condition.

The thong comes attached to the chemise, held on by a little piece of plastic that you simply snip off.

Quality:
Overall, this piece is pretty high quality. I have no concerns about any of the seams coming undone, as they all appear to be very well sewn. I don't even have concerns about the lace tearing, as it feels like it's high quality lace.

That said, there are a few places where I found loose threads. This isn't a big deal; I was able to quickly snip the loose threads off.

This piece has been in my collection for months now, but my love affair with it continues. It is such an incredibly sexy piece that makes me feel like an absolute goddess, and I genuinely believe that every woman should own this (if they can fit the limited sizing options).

This item isn't my significant others favorites -- he prefers dark and dirty, over sweet and innocent -- but he still thinks that it's very sexy.
