Two Faced Lingerie!

This convertible mesh number is really unique. It can be a mini-dress or simply by pulling strings, it turns into a cami! Some might find this good news for once: big breasts need not apply! It looks best on mid-range of B-C, but the down side is that it lacks torso shape and doesn't do curves any extra justice.
Published:
Pros
Converts from chemise to cami, better for midrange breasts B-C, made very wekk, doesn't wrinkle
Cons
Better for midrange breasts B-C, doesn't do curves or large breasts justice due to shape

extremely useful review
When I read the description of this chemise and paired it with it's name "Fishnet Convertible Chemise Set", I took that to mean that the cords on the side just provided a bit of rouching to make it even shorter. I didn't now until I looked at the tag which has pictures, that the piece is actually meant to be two! The rouching can be hiked high enough to make is a cami and thong set instead of a chemise. More lingerie should be like this! While this is made well and is comfortable, it didn't flatter my figure and might be better for women with medium sized chests. I finally found a lingerie piece that might flatter the smaller chests for once! While this doesn't help me out, I hope my review will get others to try this out since it looks like it has been long neglected!

*Contents/overview:

This two piece set from Coquette includes a convertible halter chemise mini-dress, that can be rouched up into a camisole. It also includes the matching g-string pantie.

*Material:

The entire chemise is made of a mesh material. The body is a micro-mesh while the top is a fish hole. It is light weight, breathable, and very stretchy. It is made of 82% Nylon and 18% spandex. The mesh feels a bit rough to the touch, but when worn, it's like a second skin!

*Design/craftsmanship

The mini-dress chemise is a one piece tube dress with a halter. It has a good length for front and butt coverage, but that can be changed with a bit of rouching. The front has a solid body with one exception. Right below the bust is a triangle peek hole that has the Coquette silver lips charm hanging in the center of it. I find these tacky sometimes, but for this one it actually is cute and my partner liked and noticed it right away! I thought guys didn't notice the small stuff...

The top is a bandeau top that is cinched a bit in the center. There are no specific cups. There are two layers. The top layer is the fish hole mesh and underneath is a solid hot pink nylon layer that shows from behind. From the top center of this are two cords that tie around the neck in a halter. This reminds me of the swimsuits that came out in the 70's, bu it gives this chemise a unique look that is different from the traditional spaghetti strap. The back of the chemise lies straight across the back. The bottom has a finished edge the makes it kind of wavy (I don't know the actual fashion term, for this one folks).

The sides are what make this item really unique! Sewn into both sides are two cords with cute bows at the end (preventing them from going up into the dress like a hoodie string can get caught up in the damn hood). By pulling on the strings, it will rouche the chemise up into a micro-dress or if pulled up all the way, into a cami.

The panties are thong with string bikini sides. They have a smaller than average crotch area, and the front has the same pink and black fish hole netting as the bandeau bust portion. Because the body of the chemise is mesh, they can be seen through the fabric. The entire thing is made really well! The cords are double reinforced in the front and back and slide the sides up and down easily.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

The tag doesn't actually say what to do for care. The care instructions are on a cardboard tag that gets removed from the piece before wearing (like what would have a price on it). So hopefully is easy enough to remember that this is supposed to hand washed in cold water only. It did survive the washer on a short cold rinse in a lingerie bag and did fine drip drying. by the way, never iron or bleach this, but I don't see why you would need to. It can't really wrinkle.

This is an older Coquette item hence the different tagging. It also doesn't come in a box like many Coquette items like it. It came in a small plastic bag that can't be used to put the two items together again. Since it does not wrinkle, you can throw it in a drawer.
Experience
*Sizing:

I've been lucky with Coquette. Besides a sour apple or two, the rest have fit like form fitted gloves that flatter my figure. While this did fit, it didn't really do much for me in terms of playing up my features. I must say that it does run a bit small compared to other Coquette babydolls/mini-dresses (I'm usually fine with a medium even in the bust), BUT it is pretty true to the size chart. I first got the medium and exchanged it for the large due to the bust being small. So, there will be two re-sizing charts: medium and large. Also the medium was too short. I'm 5'6"; it barely covered my butt and laid high in the front too. If you are tall, you might want to go up a size if your breasts fit into the chart. I weigh ~150 pounds (size 8/10); curvy but fit and have size ~36 D breasts.

For the medium:
The medium is supposed to fit dress size 8-10, size B breast, band 36-38", waist 26-30", and 38-40" hips. This was pretty damn accurate except for the band size which fits smaller. I'd say it fits more of a 34-36". I actually feel the medium flattered my midsection curves/waist much more than the large but it was too short and the bust was way too small. It really does fit a B-C. My boyfriend loved my breasts in this, but I felt squished. I truly think that the design for the top will benefit the mid range breasts most. For height, I suggest this size for women no taller than 5'4" if they want it to fit like the mannequin. The panties do not fit the hips size given. They are much smaller.

MY RE-DONE SIZING CHART: Medium

Dress: 8-10
Cup: B-C
Band: 34-36"
Waist: 26-28"
Hips: 36-38"
Hips pantie: 34-36"

For the large:
The large is supposed to fit dress size 12-14, size C breast, band 38 - 40", waist 30 - 32", and 40 - 42" hips. I'd say that these measurements are a bit off, but nothing bad. It fits a slightly smaller dress and band. The bust did fit my D's but it didn't flatter much since there is nothing that defines their shape. The waist didn't come in enough on me, and the hips had some room. Really, the design did nothing for me and didn't make me feel all that sexy. I liked it a lot better pulled up as a cami because that offered more definition to my waist. The panties were pretty good actually.

MY RE-DONE SIZING CHART: Large

Dress: 10-14
Cup: C-D
Band: 36-38"
Waist: 30-33"
Hips: 38-40"
Hips pantie: 36-38"

*Conclusion:

I'm giving this 3 stars. I think that on most women it will fall flat of adding sexiness. It does seem to be best for the mid-range size of breasts though. That is a plus for a group of women here on eden. I hear you guys complaining a lot and for once I found something that doesn't look best with larger breasts. It really didn't do my girls justice! On the plus side, it doesn't wrinkle, it is made very well, AND is basically two pieces.
Follow-up commentary
I'm still not a fan of this. It simply does not flatter my figure. Of course, my boyfriend disagrees. But, if I don't feel my tip top sexiest, I won't act it either. I plan to pass it on to a friend or to a fellow EFer when I get my lingerie exchange club running.
