Very Tempting

These panties are similar to some you could find at VS. They're sexy without sacrificing comfort, in part because of their ability to stretch. That same stretchiness may lead to size confusion, especially if you're between sizes. I'd order down and beware that the quality isn't exactly the best so treat these with care.

extremely useful review
I purchased these super cute panties and I was already a fan of Seven Til Midnight. Unfortunately, EF does not include a size chart. I tend to fall between a medium and large in panty size in most brands, including VS, so I opted for the large because I usually wear XL/Queen pieces from Seven Til Midnight. This was a mistake on my part but I hope my mistake can be your gain.

According to the official size chart, someone with 41" inches as myself should opt for an XL but that would fall off me.

The panties came in a small plastic bag with a label attached. At first, I thought they looked quite large but, held flat against my hips, seemed a perfect fit. It wasn't until I slipped them on that I realized two things: the stretch meant I should have gone a size down and it also resulted in a translucent appearance to the fabric. If you want solid fabric, the Temptation Hipster probably isn't for you. As the fabric stretches, it becomes quite sheer in two places: the entire back and the small panel in center front that is made of the same material.

The front sides of the panty consist of a matching pink floral lace that attaches to the center front panel in two places so it's fairly reinforced and also looks attractive. The waistband is a thin line of elastic and the bottom edge has the rolled-edge type hem as a finish. This is attractive to the eyes as well.

The back panel has a tear-drop shaped keyhole at the top center. This is decorated with a small black ribbon above it. Some users have expressed that this might be bothersome during wear but I honestly can't feel the peek-a-boo hole or the bow at all.

The stretch of the panties made them slide over my hips easily. There is more stretch to these panties than I expected and I bet you could order these a little smaller than the sizing chart indicates. The nylon and spandex blend mesh feels soft but isn't overly silky. However, it stretches a lot. I can pull the back of the panties quite high over my waist and because these are intended to be a cheeky pair of panties, I have to pull them up that high to be a little cheeky. This means the keyhole is more on my lower back than my ass.

Similarly, the front panels, where the lace is, seem a little wide for my build. Because I'm only 5"2', the three or so inches is a little wide for that area, considering that these are supposed to be low-rise panties.

Because these are big on me, the material in the back winds up bunching up and causing the unfortunate wedgie but that's not a fault of the panties per se, just my misjudgment regarding size.

The long, narrow fabric tag is sewn into the left seam of the panties. I find that when I pull them on, the tag tends to stick out from under the material, vertically, down my thigh. This is easy enough to adjust but you can also see it through the lace if it sits in the correct position. It's not a big deal to cut out but the manufacturer could consider a less intrusive tag for these smaller items.

I did wash these on gentle cycle before wearing them the first time and while the fabric held up okay, there was some breakage of the fibers around the lace in front and some threads are coming out. This is disheartening but not unusual for sexier panties. While the tag says washing in cold is fine, I'd recommend hand washing it instead.

Lastly, others are right that the cotton lining is in a very awkward position. It's super short and sewn farther back than it should be so there's just mesh where you'll probably want the lining. This could make it hard to stick in disposable panty lines or pads. The lining itself also seems extremely thin, compared to similar panties.

Ultimately, I really like these, despite the flaws, and will probably wind up buying both colors in size medium.
Follow-up commentary
I invested in a smaller pair of these panties and they fit much better. However, there's still a lot of material and stretch that can feel a little inundating with tighter pants.

The quality is still an issue and one that becomes far more noticeable with every wash. The elastic is definitely breaking in this. I suspect that as the material quality decreases so will my pleasure with these.

Thanks for the review. I got a pair in black and agree the sizing is just a tad big (unless you like them loose), and the liner is oddly placed. Otherwise I love mine and plan to get the pink too.
