Naughty people chemise by Coquette - review by Shellz31

FIRST IMPRESSIONS:

I kept admiring this chemise, but until recently it only came in a size that simply wouldn't feel or look good on my figure. I'm one very happy camper due to Eden expanding the sizing range. It's definitely worth spending the $25!
This is my first lingerie review – please be kind and leave any tips if there is information I have left out.


MATERIAL:

The Naughty People chemise is a Coquette creation and is made in China. It is available in sizes small through to 1X/2X and made from 50% cotton and 50% polyester. I went for the XL because it's completely stretchy; it hugs every little curve and bulge I have going on. And yet, I still feel so comfortable and sexy in it.

The shoulder straps are thin pieces of white ribbon that are threaded through a plastic clip so they can be adjusted to the wearers preference. Unfortunately, Coquette failed to use Stop Fray on the ends of the ribbon, so they start to unravel. I highly suggest putting some on the end pieces when you first purchase this chemise so it doesn't ruin it in time. The seams have all been overlocked for added strength.

There are four rows of unique naughty little people imagines before the pattern is repeated all over the chemise. There's also only seven unique characters in each row and then repeated.

It's not see through in any way, so you can feel confident enough to wear this in front of others.


FIT:

The chemise is ultra comfortable and will stretch both width and length wise. When laid out flat the waist measurement is 17 ½” across with it going out slightly for the chest and sloping wider around the hips. This 17 ½” will happily stretch out to 25” allowing it to cart for up to a 50” waist. The hips area will stretch out to cover at least a 66” girth. Even if you do happen to stretch the chemise a reasonable amount when worn, it bounces back with no worries at all when washed.
From the top point of the chest where the ribbon strap starts to the bottom of the chemise measures 27 1/4".

Where on the body this falls will depend upon the person wearing it and of course on how the straps are adjusted. I like the straps almost on the tightest and with me being short waisted and only 5'3, the chemise rests just above my knees.

If I lived alone the fact that the bottom of the chemise rides up to expose my butt wouldn't be a problem. In fact, it's kind of sexy. But when sharing with other people it's not a desirable look. Especially when those people really don't care to see that side of me.



CLEANING ~ PACKAGING:

The tag inside the chemise says to hand wash only and then hang it up to dry. I did hand wash it the day I received it, but I'm too lazy to do that every wash. I just threw it in the front loader for the second wash and hung it out on the line to dry. Don't bleach this one.
