Intro
Many years ago, my wife and I saw a dress similar to this on Playboy, and we both really liked the look of the dress. I had this dress in my wish list for a while, then just the other week noticed it again, and remembered the playboy dress. It was the right price, and I was looking for something to fill a small gap in my order. So I quickly placed my order, and I surprised my wife with the dress this past weekend. She also liked the look of the dress on the packaging, so things were looking up....for the moment.

Design
The dress is designed with one large bottom part, and then three smaller sections above that, all with cut-outs in between. And the cut-outs are very large. The only thing holding the sections together are very small stitching on each side. This is the weak part of the dress, and could be damaged while putting on or taking the dress off. But looking at the dress, the design looks very sexy. The one large section at the bottom barely covers the ass and crotch, while the top part is just large enough for the breasts. The other two sections allow for a lot of skin to show through around the stomach area. The dress is made out of 98% polyester, and 2% spandex. On the photos online and the box, it shows the bottom of the dress being like a bandage skirt, with 3 additional horizontal lines of stitching. However on the dress we received, this was 1 solid piece. Not a deal breaker either one, just something I noticed.

Comparing this to the Coquette wet look pieces, the feel and shine of the products are very similar. Where as this one has more of a black look to it, the Coquette pieces have a slight bit of purple in them. But I had to walk towards the window to be able to see the differences in color, as they were very close.

Fit and Sizing
My wife is in between a 4/6, with a 34 inch bust, a 28 inch waist, and 38 inch hips. She is 5'9", and weighs about 130 lbs right now. She wears a small to medium depending on the company. Since the item came in one size, we didn't have any choice on sizing, but I figured my wife would be about in the middle of their size range. And she was. The dress has 4 sections, and the lowest one which covers the ass and crotch, measures 10 inches tall by 13.5 inches wide at the top of it. The next 2 sections are 12 inches wide at the narrowest point, and 2.5 inches tall each. The final section for the bust is 13 inches tall by 5.5 inches wide. All these measurements are with the dress laid out flat.

Packaging
Fantasy Lingerie used cardboard packaging for this item. It came in a pink box, with a large photo on the front of the model wearing the dress, and two more photos on the back, one of which showed the back of the dress. Not too much information provided, except some directions for cleaning, which was also on the tag of the dress. Inside the easy to open box was the dress folded into a sticky tape sealed plastic package. This is all easy to recycle, and it would be difficult to reuse.

Care and Maintenance
The only information provided with the dress was on the label on the dress. It said made in China, one size, and the care instructions. It says to hand wash in cold water, do not twist or wring, and lay it flat to dry.

Putting the dress on was a lot more difficult than expected. It seemed easy enough looking at the dress, my wife would cinch it together, put it above her head, and I would pull the dress down her body. Haha, that was entertaining. The dress quickly bunched up while trying to do this and rolled under itself. And you couldn't pull down too hard on it, since the weak sticking holding the sections together would have definitely broken. Eventually she moved to where we had a little more space to work, and I pulled down each section little by little, and separated them from each other. This worked but we couldn't see how someone could do this by themselves, or very gracefully either.

Once on, the dress fit hugged body wonderfully. It wasn't too tight, nor was it loose where it was falling off her body. The bottom section, which measures 10 inches long, covered her ass nicely, but barely. Once she laid down, the fabric ended right at her crotch. The next two sections in the middle could be easily adjusted, and fit her fine. However, the top section was a problem. It fit around her breasts nicely, and she didn't complain about it feeling too tight on her. However, there is no support in that strap for the breasts, and her breasts simply disappeared under the fabric. We tried to adjust it to see if it would make any difference, and nothing worked. And my wife has D breasts, so it squished her down quite a bit. Also, looking at the photos on Eden, and comparing them to the dress we received, it appears the top section is much smaller on the model, and maybe helps not to conceal and squish her breasts as much. So either the photos show a smaller section, or they rolled the dress under itself.

After writing this review, we placed this in a container with a few of my wife's wet look pieces. Then a few weeks ago, while pulling out wet look stockings, I saw a piece I did not recognize. It was this dress. I usually have a very good memory of where I place things, especially a piece of lingerie that I ordered, but I totally forget about this one. I had high hopes for this dress, but between it being difficult to put on, and a breast flattening issue, this hasn't come out again. I don't know if it ever will.
