Black sequin accented chemise and thong - babydoll and panties set by DreamGirl - review by novanilla

I'm going to start this review by saying that my partner and I absolutely love this piece. I have never been a huge lingerie fan, but this piece by Dreamgirl really made me want more and made the things I own into duds. I have since bought another piece of lingerie and it's nothing in comparison!

This is very sheer and revealing, so if you're shy, you may want to check out another piece. However, I'm typically shy, and this piece makes me not want to be at all! It has a lace bra-like top with sequins sewed into it, though there are not many of them. I think that's really nice, as too many sequins could be uncomfortable, hard to clean, and fall off easily and much more noticeably. If the sequins eventually come off, the lace will still be there, and that will look just as pretty alone. There is underwire below the cups, so if you're busty, this will provide some support. The cups cover the breast pretty well, but the lace has no backing, so it's all visible. There is also a black ribbon bow between the cups. The lace isn't the softest, but it's also not scratchy and uncomfortable as long as you're not wearing it for a really long time. I think if I tried to wear this for a couple of hours, I would start to get itchy, but for just 30 minutes, it doesn't bother me.

The rest of the piece is a black mesh (100% polyester) that is pretty sheer. The bottom of the chemise features a black ribbon on the hem that is a nice touch and makes it look more polished. The picture on the model is really accurate as to how it looks and how sheer it is. The back is open, which you can sort of tell on the model but it can be difficult to see in the picture. It closes like a regular bra hook, with 3 options for size. With the small, I put it on the smallest hook and I still have some room. I'm a size 2, so this could actually fit a wide range of sizes. It has some elastic on the band as well, so that allows for more flexibility in sizing. If you have small breasts and are in between the small and medium, I would suggest you go with the small, because this really can stretch. The open back allows for a larger middle area, so even larger hipped women could wear this without worrying that it would be tight.

A downside of this chemise is that it is dry clean only, but I have hand washed several clothing items that are "dry clean only" without any problems, and I assume this will be the same way. I would be careful in not getting anything on it though, because that could create problems in cleaning.

As with all lingerie, this is really travel friendly. It folds up to be really small and would take up a negligible amount of space in a suitcase and weighs nothing.

I have had a great experience thus far with this chemise. I surprised my partner with it and he loved it and has taken to requesting that I wear it since then. We both like how easily it comes off, just like a regular bra since it has the open back, and he likes how sheer it is. It's comfortable to wear for the short amount of time for foreplay, and I have worn this up to an hour during sex and I wasn't itching to take it off. My partner told me it is the sexist thing I own, which I would say is a pretty great endorsement! I really love this piece and would recommend it to others. I will say though, the thong was not really much to bother with. It doesn't really cover well in the front, and I have just worn this with other black underwear like bikinis and boyshorts that I prefer to thongs anyway.

This babydoll is holding up well, though I don't use it too often. My partner loves it and sometimes asks for me to wear it. This is still my favorite piece of lingerie, and I will be looking for other similar styles. I still like it just as much as when I received it if not more.
