Garter belt with lace thigh high - thigh highs discontinued by Music legs - review by Sangsara

My second assignment from Eden came at a very important time in my life. I lost a loved one recently and this arrived in the mail a day or two before the celebration of life. I thought to myself that I wasn't necessarily up for testing a toy right now, but then I realized what color it was. Red. Bright fire engine red. My relative's (the one who passed away) favorite color. The product is Music Legs #7709, lace garter belt with matching sheer lace thigh hi set. We share a fave color and the shade was perfect. Not too orange, not too pink, perfect- so so bright. On the package was a picture of a g-string as well, but it is not included inside.

Material:
The stockings are sheer, which means they are not a solid red but definitely red enough. I believe they also come in white and black. At the top is approx. 3.5 inches of floral lace with what I found was a great elastic about 3 inches down. The elastic wasn't too tight and the stockings held up really easy on their own. I usually go for the ones that just sort of stick to your legs and the elastic ones worked much better. The stockings felt nice and smooth and weren't too delicate or flimsy. The toes were not reinforced, but this didn't seem to be a problem and would be nice if worn with open-toed shoes.

The lace on the garter was the same- both in pattern and in color, and the straps matched perfectly, made of a nice satin ribbon with clips that didn't need to be adjusted and didn't come undone. The tag on the garter belt says "87% Polyamide, 13% Elastane Excluding trims". I would assume by 'trims' they mean the plastic and ribbon clips.

Size/design:
I am 5'6 1/2 inches tall and around 150lbs. The package says "one size fits most 5'-5'10"(100-175lbs)", so I thought that since I'm pretty much about 2/3 of the way there that they should fit nice. Well, the stockings came up to lower mid-thigh which meant I had to lower my hemline a bit.

The garter belt had a major sizing issue. Granted, I don't have a super curvy (at least not in 'all the right places') body, as my hips are rather square, but I'm also no longer a small woman by any means. The belt was way too big. My hips are 38" and unstretched the garter is 36". It's supposed to sit low on your hips, not around your waist, but still none of the 3 places for the single hook to attach was tight enough. I can't imagine this fitting a smaller woman.

Packaging:
They came in a typical flat plastic see thru package, with the stockings wrapped around a piece of fat cardboard. It was nice that the cardboard wasn't inside the stockings as one stretched out part always bugs me. The package had a picture of a perfect looking woman wearing the set. These come permanently sealed, so you can't take them out and look at them and put them back- once you cut it open, it's open. They do not come with any way to store them.

Cleaning and storage:
Gentle hand wash only, I suggest either with just water or a very mild detergent like Zero. Hang to dry, but make sure they won't get caught on anything while drying that could warp their shape. The garter belt you could wash in a bag made of cheese cloth or a lingerie bag from the store but on the delicate/ hand wash cycle.
Store flat in a lingerie drawer with no zippers or clasps around that may catch the threads in the stockings.

So, in honor of my relative, I put my hair up with a red cloth hairband, wore a black dress and boots and added this gorgeous red garter belt and stockings. The stockings slipped on easy enough, not catching on a toe or fingernail, and I was quite pleased with them. I put the garter belt around my hips but it was way too big. I found this strange since even a plus or queen size should have fit me if it was on the tightest clasp. In the end, I had to pin it together and it still ended up slipping down my hips, but that may be because of their shape.
I wore them for the entire 3 hour service, greeting many people, sitting for a couple of hours, then took them off a couple hours later at home. I always do this as soon as I get in, so that I can ensure the stockings at least one more wear by avoiding runs. Maybe it was because I had recently gotten some beautiful gel nails, but I managed to get away without even a simple pulled thread, but I think it was due to the high quality of the stockings themselves. The clips on the backs of my thighs were quite irritating, but as I usually only wear lingerie of this style in the bedroom, I'm not sure if that is normal or if there's a simple away around it, such as attaching the clips in a certain way. The set was a perfect punch of just the right color, holding up well inside my boots. Next time, I think I'll bring them back to the bedroom because they are the kind of garments that when worn during sex make it even sexier.

Well even though these held a ton of sentimental value for me I still chose to wear them for work (I do erotic massage). The garter belt I avoided because it just doesn't make sense that it's so big for me even though it's supposed to be a 'one size' item. I just bought some music legs stockings in plus size that have the opposite problem- I have a 33 inch waste and they are too BIG! I guess that's why we do reviews.
The stockings are why I say I still like it. The lace is long enough that they hold up well without doing that roll down thing that othes do. I was able to wear these through a session for around 2 hours ( mind you an athletic 2 hours haha) without having to wear a garter belt or pull them up. So far they havn't run either which is great for stockings without reinforced toes.
I am really hard on my lingerie- I just throw it in a box, bag or drawer with my socks etc instead of folding them nicely and these have not caught on anything. Though not the silkiest thigh highs around, they still drive my sex partner crazy rubbed against his bum by my toes during sex. I will look and see if these are offered without the garter belt, which I have kept just in case I gain more weight or a female with a more classic hourglass figure enters my life.
