Let me start by saying, I hate bustiers. I don't like plunging necklines or finicky ties, and I'm always a skeptic when it comes to buying things like this online because it rarely fits or is unflattering. I bought it because it was the one my partner chose that she thought would look the best and fit the nicest.

And of course she was right, I pulled it out of the box and immediately fell in love with it despite what apprehensiveness I had before getting it. The material is nylon/spandex making it lightweight and clingy when pulled on. The closure is all ties making it easily adjustable around the back or (for those of you who suffer from lack of cleavage like me) around the neck to keep it supportive enough to be comfortable.

As I mentioned, it clings to your body and follows your natural lines and curves and accentuates them. It wasn't hard to feel like this was something made for me; as a plus size, it was definitely a confidence booster about how I felt about myself and how I'm built as opposed to some clothes that are only meant to hide and shame the body you have.

Don't like to show off yourself? The plunging neckline of the Madame bustier and the halter ties make it easy to wear under your clothes. I found myself using it in place of a strapless bra under scoop neck shirt or other shirts that cling around the shoulder. Since it's black it easily looks fine with anything you wear, and you can feel sexy all day instead of just in the bedroom!

I loved the little metal studs and I loved the garter clips and the overall shape of the bustier. They somehow made it more attractive to me, and to be honest, the picture does it no justice. Until it was in my hands I didn't know what I would expect. It was well made and well produced and I'll definitely be looking in to more with this company.

Though it fits nicely, I will admit it has a few faults which I had been expecting knowing my body and the way things generally look on me.

First, the cups are definitely made for someone with a good sized chest, and I am not one of those people. I'm a B32 and of course if you've read the sizing chart it's meant for someone who is a minimum size 44 chest (or one size fits most- plus size). However, I will admit that I don't believe it would give much support to someone with a larger chest, double D's won't be held up well as it has no cup support or at least very little of it. Luckily, I was able to tie it up tight and it wasn't a big problem.

Speaking of tying, the ties are super long; and I mean cumbersomely long. I didn't know what to do with all the extra string once I was done adjusting myself. Making a bow didn't help much so I settled on wrapping them around on themselves a few times.

The back doesn't sit as high as I would like it to, it tends to bunch up just above the ass instead of sitting nicely; it still looks fine just isn't as comfortable as it could be.

Overall I do enjoy it and am planning on wearing it to events around town so it will make a debut!

Finally got a chance to wear it on an outing! I still love it, it hugs the body and looks flattering with a nice skirt or pants, and a good pair of tights.
The stitching for the bustier is not as good as I initially thought it was- the hem near the garter belts has come loose and needs to be repaired. I noticed that when I pulled it on this morning, and for a garment I've only worn four times I don't really see that as a good thing.

Having adjusted it to fit my breasts the way it needs to sit I noticed that it has a fold along the seam that perks out, almost like a permanent nipple that requires constant adjustment to avoid especially in a public venue.

The material itself, however, does hold up to washing (I wash it by hand because I don't trust the metal buttons in any of my machines) and I did get a lot of compliments about it! It's sleek and shiny still even after a long day outside.
All in all it was a great purchase and I have definitely recommended it to a few of my friends.
