The Pearl Lotus is a rabbit style vibrator made by California Exotics. This vibrator has 8 rotating functions and 9 patterns of “vibration, pulsation and escalation”, giving you an astounding 72 combinations to pleasure yourself or your partner with. The best use for this vibrator would be for a female, as the vibrator has a shaft with four rows of non-jamming beads to excite and pleasure your g-spot. It also features a clitoral attachment in a non-animal shape that has three nubs meant to surround and arouse your clitoris and lead you to a mind blowing orgasm (or two or three)! However, I believe this could be an enjoyable toy for a male to use if they were interested in extra stimulation. This vibrator can be used for solo play or for fun with a partner.

This vibrator is made out of TPR, which I have never experienced before. My initial impression of the material is that while it claims to be unscented, I can detect a slight smell to it but cannot think of anything to compare it to. It is not a strong smell and you’d only notice if you put your nose right up to it.

Touching it was different than touching my Rabbit Pearl because while my RP is made out of jelly and smooth to the touch, the Pearl Lotus’ TPR material gives it a rubbery feeling and my hand will not easily drag over it. After I washed it, I did taste it and did not notice a taste at all.

I definitely felt that the texture added stimulation, and the non-jamming beads on the shaft do not really impede me from inserting the shaft. This texture would be suitable for anybody to use and I’d recommend the use of a silicone or water-based lube to help with insertion as the drag of the TPR material makes it difficult to insert without assistance. This toy is hypo-allergenic as well as latex and phthalates free.

I found the design and shape similar to my Rabbit Pearl vibrator, which I like and enjoy, except that it only has 3 levels of vibration and the rotating beads function broke shortly after I bought it. I'm really pleased that the design of the Pearl Lotus is similar in design but has more functionality.

As you can see in the picture below, the Pearl Lotus is bigger and longer than my waterproof RP vibe. The insertable length of the RP is 4.25 inches while the Pearl Lotus is 5 inches. The Pearl Lotus is 5.75 inches around while the rest of the shaft is 5 inches. The RP is 5 inches around the pearls but only 4 inches around the rest of the shaft.

This toy is 9.5 inches long while the RP is only 7 inches. The RP uses 3 C batteries so it is heavier compared to the Pearl Lotus which uses 4 triple-A batteries and it weighs only half a pound. I’m very pleased with the lightness of this toy!





I didn’t even think, looking at the numbers, that the difference between the two vibrators would be noticeable but I definitely noticed! Compared to my original RP, the Pearl Lotus is HUGE and I had difficulty inserting it due to the width and the type of material. The clitoral attachment did work better on the Pearl Lotus than on my RP and I felt the nubs more accurately touched the appropriate sweet spot. It is also slightly moveable so you can wiggle it to just the right spot if you need to.

I believe this toy would be perfect for users of an advanced level. While I believe beginners could use and love it, I find the strength of the toy’s movement along with the many combinations could easily overwhelm someone who is new to vibrators. Having only ever used one vibrator, I really felt overwhelmed myself! However, anyone who is up for a challenge would certainly enjoy this toy and all its wonderful combinations.

This toy is definitely not easy to hide and would easily be recognized for the vibrator it is! You could definitely take it traveling, but it would not be discreet in your luggage or in use due to the noisiness of the movements and vibrations.

This toy functions extremely well and the performance is amazing. It requires 4 triple-A batteries that are put into a piece you can insert into the bottom of the vibrator. The shaft only rotates while the clitoral attachment vibrates. I found this disappointing as I enjoy the vibrations in the shaft of my other rabbit vibrator. However, I think the different rotations and levels of vibrations are amazing and a great selling point of this toy even though it wasn’t all that I expected.

The controls are located on the side of the toy near the bottom (see picture below). I do believe they are convenient and easy to use, but since my rabbit vibrator had a separate remote for control, this toy will take a bit of getting used to in that regard.





I realized that when the toy was rotating that it tended to move on its own side to side and I felt like I couldn’t really control it, so I thought maybe I am simply not holding it firmly enough. However, holding it more firmly didn’t seem to solve the issue.

I found the toy really noisy and definitely something that could be heard through a door. I also think the noise is rather distracting and along with the movement of the toy all on its own while in use, may be a bit much for me at this point! This toy is waterproof but I do not think I will use it in that situation - at least not any time soon.

This toy is made of TPR and semi-porous, so the use of a condom is recommended if you are going to use it with others. You can also use a condom to make cleaning up easier. This toy is compatible with silicone and water based lubes.

You cannot boil this toy to sterilize it, so washing it really well with warm water and toy cleaner or mild soap first is highly recommended. You should also clean this after every use with the same methods.

I noticed this toy does attract lint so you want to make sure to clean it really well before every use. I decided to keep the plastic it came in for storing the toy until I can get some toy covers!

I posted a picture below of this product, both front and back. The toy came inside a plastic bag that was stapled shut, in a box that described all the lovely attributes on the cover and back panel. There were NO instructions on how to use this toy in the box – only instructions for how to insert the batteries. You could definitely put the toy back in the plastic bag and inside the box for storage. The box is not discreet and plainly states what the toy is and does.

Personally, I have only had ONE vibrator, the one above in the pictures and found the Pearl Lotus to be a whole new experience. I tried to use it almost immediately after it arriving and found it overwhelming in options. This toy is very powerful. I really don't like the fact that the shaft doesn't vibrate and that the rotations are so strong the toy moves from side to side while in action. However, the combinations are lovely and I think after I get used to the difference in rotations and vibrations and the length and feel of the toy that I will thoroughly enjoy it. I am giving this four stars because I truly believe it has the potential to make me never want to use my RP vibe again!
