The Lia Dreamer is a lovely little vibrator from California Exotics. I got her in pink, but she's also available in blue. She is designed for vaginal use, and shouldn't be used anally because there isn't a flare to prevent the toy from slipping into the anus and getting lost. She's fantastic for clitoral stimulation, and great for G-spot stimulation if you have a shallow G-spot. No noticeable G-spot curve can make it hard to angle this to hit the right spots, but the few ridges around the shaft's "head" do help stimulate the G-spot more.

Because she's so small, this isn't too intimidating for couples who are just starting to experiment with toys. The vibrating patterns make this great for teasing erogenous areas. Men could even enjoy this for stimulation of the testicles and perineum.

She's very quiet, so for living situations where a roommate could overhear, she would work well. She's barely audible from underneath a blanket, and definitely cannot be heard through a closed door.

The Dreamer is made of food-grade silicone, which rates a 10 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. She's hypo-allergenic, phthalates free, non-porous and latex free. The handle is made of a velvety plastic. The silicone does have a little drag to it, which can be remedied with a little bit of water-based lube. Only use water-based lube with her since she is silicone; oil or silicone lubes could degrade the material of this vibrator.

No particular smell or taste was noticeable before and after washing. There's no bend to this toy. The head is kind of plush, while the body is very rigid because of its plastic core.

The ridges that are underneath the head of this vibrator aren't overwhelming. I think those who are sensitive to texture won't find this uncomfortable because of the vibrator's size. If it were larger, it would be much more noticeable or possibly uncomfortable, but because it's a small toy the texture is great.

The Dreamer looks like a small pink penis. The overall insertable length is 4 1/4", with the entire toy measuring just under 6". The circumference of the widest part of the toy (around the base of the "head") is 3 1/2", making it great for beginners or advanced users who enjoy smaller toys. Because she's so small, she's very easy to hide. Since it looks like a penis, this isn't discreet at all. It's very obvious at first glance what it is, making it not so suitable for traveling.

She takes one AA battery, and to insert the battery you twist off the plastic handle. There is an o-ring that also makes this toy waterproof and safe for the shower or bath.


On the plastic handle there is a power button and a function button. When the toy is on, the two buttons are backlit in the color of the toy, and blink to the patterned vibrations as well. When you press the power button you go to the lowest level, and as you press the function button after that, it brings you to medium and high. After high there are 7 different patterns. Some of the patterns are at high intensity, while others are at low or medium. There are many different types of patterns to choose from. Some are just random pulsating, while others are escalating or roller coaster patterns, and others are sharp pulses. The power button can be pressed at any time to do a quick power off. When turning it on again, it restarts at the first vibration level and not where you left off. During use, the buttons are very easy to find and press without looking and while inserted.

I give it a 1.5 on the bees scale. It's not loud at all, so it's very discreet. The vibrations are about a 3 vrooms at its highest setting. They're a little on the buzzier side, but not as buzzy as some of the vibrators I've tried. I'm sensitive to vibrators making my hand uncomfortable if they conduct too much vibrations into the handle, but felt no discomfort when using the Lia Dreamer; it didn't make my hand numb at all.

The silicone collect lint, but not as bad as some of the toys I've tried. I would suggest keeping her in a lint free toy pouch to protect from attracting lint and hair in between use. Washing before and after use is ideal.

Since it's waterproof, you can completely submerge it during cleaning with soap and water with no worries of ruining the toy. A toy wipe works great as well. I let mine air dry before storing it away in a satin toy pouch that I made myself. Be sure to not store this toy with other silicone toys, as they can sometimes react to each other and ruin the integrity of the silicone.

It comes in a clear plastic box with a plastic sleeve inlay that the toy sits in. The toy is visible from the outside so it isn't discreet. The packaging is also recyclable, and I don't think it would work well for long term storage since the plastic is kind of flimsy. The toy came with a slip of paper describing the functions and different patterns as well as instructions and warnings on safety were also included.

At first I was a little turned off from this toy. I figured the size and shape wouldn't do anything for me. Now I realize that at different times of the month, I actually crave different sizes. She actually gave me my first solo G-spot orgasm! While it wasn't a super strong orgasm, it was still a great accomplishment.
