A Great Intro to Luxury Vibrators

Gigi is a great toy for those who need a quiet toy and enjoy using smaller toys. I would definitely recommend it, especially to those who are somewhat new to toys. Gigi is a great toy for helping to find your g-spot and is also great when used for clitoral stimulation.

Pros:
Rechargable, locking mode, pretty, quiet, variety in function

Not quite long enough (for me), can catch on pubic bone

Use

Lelo's Gigi is a sweet little G-spot vibrator that is also a great clit stimulator. It can be used to stimulate the body externally as well, but shouldn't be uses anally. Internally it will work well for those who have a more shallow g-spot and don't need a lot of deep thrusting from their toys. It may catch on some people's pubic bones depending on their anatomy, but for most people it will likely be a very enjoyable toy. It has a bump towards the top of the toy that helps to stroke the G-spot in a similar way to how a finger might and it's design really allows for some pretty deep pressure if that's what you need.

It is great for solo use or with a partner, just make sure you keep it out of the water since it is not waterproof. It's also a great toy for people with room mates because it is very quiet.

Material / Texture

The Gigi is made of abs white plastic and silicone and comes in three colors: pink, purple, and turquoise. It appears to be covered in silicone rather than being silicone all of the way through as it is very rigid and does not bend at all. The silicone is very smooth and velvety and does not gather dust and lint as easily as many other silicone toys do. There really is no noticeable texture to speak of.

Since it is silicone it is nonporous and sterilizable which is great because that means you can kill any bacteria that might be on it. It is also important to note that because it is silicone it is important to use water-based lubes, because silicone-based ones can damage your toy.

Design / Shape / Size

Gigi was designed for G-spot stimulation. The curve of the toy with the shape of the head works pretty well for this. The toy is 6.5" long with about 4.5" of that being insertable. At this length, it didn't go in quite far enough to be a great g-spot toy for me. I was definitely able to find my g-spot with it, but I just didn't have enough room on the handle to be able to manipulate the toy in a way that would have been effective for me. Having an extra inch or two of length would probably have made this my favorite toy. It is not very large in diameter either. The head is 1 1/8 in diameter at it's widest point and then gets a little bit thinner from there.

I've showed the Gigi next to a few other toys I have so you can get a better idea of it's size. As you can see Gigi is much smaller than her sister Mona. She is about the same size as a pocket rocket. It's a great sized toy for those who might be intimidated by larger toys.

Because it's small and has a great locking mode it is a wonderful toy for traveling. It would be easy to stow away in a purse or bag and you would never have to worry about the embarrassment of having it accidentally turn of when you don't want it to.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Gigi can seem a little confusing at first, but the controls aren't as difficult as they seem. The control panel looks like a single button with 4 arrows in each direction. Each direction does a different change of setting. the < and > arrows control the speed/intensity of the vibrations, the up and down arrows scroll through the different modes that the toy has. There are 5 settings to choose from:

Steady vibration
slow pulses
medium pulses
fast pulses
Wave vibration - low to high to low repeating

There is also a locking mode which is awesome if you want to travel with your toy. Just hold the left and right arrow buttons for a few seconds an it will be locked to the off setting and won't get turned on in your bag or something if something accidentally pushes a button. To turn this mode back off, simply hold the buttons down again until the control panel light flashes back on.

Gigi has fairly strong vibrations which I think would be adequate for most people, but probably wouldn't be strong enough for those who need a true powerhouse. The vibrations are not too buzzy and they are concentrated in the tip of the vibrator. I liked this because it makes it great for clitoral stimulation.

Gigi is a rechargable toy which is awesome. After a couple hours of charge it will run for more than two hours. It comes with a charger that is compatible with all of Lelo's toys. I personally love this because since I have a few of their toy s I can tuck the other chargers away and just keep one out to charge all of my Lelo's with.

Gigi is very quiet and I think this would be an ideal toy for people who have to use a toy that won't attract a lot of attention from the noise. You would not hear this through a closed door, even without music or anything playing.

Care and Maintenance

The Gigi is pretty easy to care for. To clean you an use antibacterial soap and water as long as you are very careful not to get any water inside the toy or near the charging port or controls. You can also use a toy cleaner or bleach solution to wipe down your Gigi.

It's easy to store because it comes with a convenient little satin bag to keep your toy in as well as a lovely box. I personally found the box a bit big to use for storage, so I keep my Gigi in its bag and tuck it away with my other toys.

Like I said earlier, because the toy is made of silicone, it's not a good idea to use a silicone lube with Gigi. Just a dab of water-based lube will be plenty to have a good time.

Packaging

Lelo always has awesome packaging. Gigi comes in a classy black box which has a cover over it with a picture of the toy. It would be a great box to use for either storage or gift-giving. Inside the box is a plastic insert with a mold to place the toy in. It also comes with a small satin drawstring bag you can store your Gigi in if you'd rather not store it in the plastic insert. Instructions, a charger, and information on a warranty are all included in the packaging.

Experience

I've had Gigi about a year and a half now. I was fairly new to toys at the time and was very nervous about spending so much money on a sex toy, but I'm glad I did. Gigi definitely got me hooked on the higher end toys and I have been buying them ever since. She also helped me find my G-spot and opened me up to a new type on stimulation. I think she is a great toy, but I think I have just outgrown her as I've found toys that work better for me such as Lelo's Mona I just don't find myself using Gigi that often because I wish she was a couple of inches longer so she would work for me a little bit better. I do use my Gigi for clit stimulation occasionally and find that she works great for that.

Great review. If you don't mind my asking, about how far in is your g-spot located? And does Mona hit your g-spot? My g-spot is about 4 inches in, and Gigi seems a little short for me, so I'm wondering if Lelo has a g-spot vibe that would work for me. If only Ella vibrated... *sigh

I'm not sure how far in it is exactly and it's not that it isn't long enough to reach it, but it is hard to control with such a small handle. Mona works much better for me, it's almost like it was designed specifically for my body. It does reach further back and is easier to get a good grip on the handle. I'm probably biased since Mona is my favorite toy out of all the ones I have ever tried, but I would definitely recommend it for g-spot stimulation.

Great review, Mona would probably work better for me too, but the Gigi is very tempting!

Great review! The Gigi still remains my favorite G spot vibe overall. When I take it out to use, it just seems to scream "orgasm" to me and so delivers..

actually though i'm working on my review right now- yes for internal stimulation it was a bit uncomfortable unless i rocked it against my pubic bone. I can only take like 4 max 5 inches inserted and though i was initially drooling over the shape on the tip it felt the same as when you're having sex and your cervix gets bruised- except it wasn't against my cervix. its quite hard and has little give to it though the silicone is quite nice. I used it more on my clit and she seemed to enjoy the vibrations(shrug)

    • How easy is the Gigi- G Spot Vibrators to use during sex?
    • I think it's more of a solo toy. You should look at the We vibes.

I think it works pretty well for this purpose. I use it simultaneously with a dildo all the time. Is it the best for this purpose? I would say you'd be better off using a smaller vibrator such as the Lelo Siri which is another personal favorite of mine during piv sex. Although it is pretty easy to use the Gigi. Works in all positions where your body isn't completely pressed against a surface or your partner's body. You'll need to give a little space in between you and your partner to fit the toy but it still works really well.

  • Lelo Gigi - Using a Condom or Not
    • I have recently bought the Gigi vibrator from LELO.

For my first use, I used a condom to cover the Gigi (the brand I used is Lifestyles Studded). After removing the condom, I noticed that the lubricant, from the inside the condom, left a kind of oily residue on the Gigi. I tried to use my toy cleaner to remove it, but I am slightly worried

I am worried that the lubricant from this condom is not water-based. Now, I have a few questions that I was unable to research answers to.

      1) Was the condom I used water-based?
      2) Have I ruined my new Gigi?
      3) Is it best to use a condom on the Gigi or not?

Any advice/help will be much appreciated.

    • From what I can find via Google, it looks like the lubricant in that condom isn't a silicone lubricant so it should be okay.

Lubricant Ingredients: Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Phenonip, Carbomer

I don't think you're ruined anything. If you're concerned you might want to try to find a different type of condom that leaves less residue. I have no suggestions because almost all condoms irritate me and since I'm fluid bonded with my partner we don't use them.

What would you recommend to clean the Gigi? I currently have a toy cleaner called "Swiss Navy."

Will using soap and water be bad for the Gigi? At least just for the silicone part of the vibrator?

  • is jt worth it
    • Is the product worth the price ????
    • I'm pretty sure we answered a similar set of questions about the pros and cons of expensive vibrators.
    • Quote: Is the product worth the price ????
Absolutely!! I bought mine a couple years ago after (literally) melting my previous one. Between the cost of having to replace my vibrators and the batteries constantly, I went for it and have no regrets!! Gigi is a regular part of our sex life! However, I use it only for cliteral stimulation (which works for me) so I can't speak if you are interested in G-spot usage.
The one drawback is I've found that I tend to hit the speed controls during use. Otherwise, the warranty is great (though i've never had one problem with it), it's easy to keep clean and store, and I LOVE that it's rechargable.
      Enjoy!

I highly recommend the Gigi for G-spot play. It's firm enough to stimulate it with the amount of pressure needed, but velvety enough to not be too much. Additionally the vibration settings I found to be ideal for pressing against my G-spot. Just have a towel ready!
    • Quote: I'd like to try a g-spot vib, but i dont know if this should be the one to buy...Any comments?
I would recommend the Gigi for g-spot play. I will point out though that if you have a g-spot that is on the further side in terms of depth in the vagina, or if like me your vaginal canal has a sharp curve to it then you should look for a toy that is longer than the Gigi. I love the Gigi as a clitoral vibrator but based on my anatomy it didn't do much for me as a g-spot stimulator. Take your anatomy into consideration before you buy a toy for g-spot play. If you are like me and think you'll need a more lengthy toy try the G-Spot Pink glass stimulator. I'm currently working on a review for that toy and it is a personal favorite of mine.

  • Charging Gigi in the UK
    • FiredrakeNemmy
So uh, my gf lives across the pond in England and I wanted to get a little something to bring her next I go visit.

She really likes the use of the Gigi vibrator but I'm worried about the charging of the toy, I learned to be wary of such things when I blew out the power to my Wii :X

But anyways, if anyone who has one could kindly take a look at the allowed voltages I would really appreciate it. The voltage info can usually be found on the charger itself ( a bunch of random numbers and such and has that UL logo ) Does it list the Input as 100V-240V or just something around 100V?

      Thanks!

They're good for 100-240V. I charged mine while living abroad just fine.
    • The charger I have with mine has the 100V-240V range.

You might also look at getting a charger specifically for using the Gigi in England.

    • My 22nd birthday is coming up which means birthday monies <3 I'm trying to see if I can orgasm with my gspot but haven't had any luck. I've been close but no beans yet. I'm debating getting this to see if it'll work for me, plus I'm trying to go off birth control, it's made my sex drive completely dissappear after 2 years of being on it, not to mention making me depressed, moody, etc.

Anyway, would this be recommended? Where's the vibration, though? More in the shaft towards the buttons or more at the tip? And is it plenty strong? (I need strong vibrations.)

I'll have to order at a time my dad won't be home, though, and make sure it arrives when he's at work--how embarassing it'd be for me for him to find out I have toys!

  • is the gigi a good starter g-spot vibe?
    • My friend Lee's birthday is coming up and ever since I told her about female ejaculation and what it is and that I can do it, she's been trying to find everything about it and is really interested in a g-spot vibrator, but she doesn't really like the way most vibrators feel with vibrations. To her, they feel like an "Oh, there's something vibrating in my ladyparts but it's doing nothing for me." So, my question is, is the Gigi different in that sense that the vibrations have some "variety" to them and they're not so monotonous? I'd love to get her the Gigi for her birthday and have heard nothing but great things about it.

My Gigi is on its way, so I'm not much help there... Although, whenever I read about female ejaculation the Ella is usually involved.

It doesn't vibrate, but you may want to check it out.

Miss KissThis totally beat me to the punch! If it has to vibrate and you want to be able to use it for clitoral stimulation, Gigi is great. But if you're on a lower budget and only want g-spot stimulation, the Ella is one of this forum's favorite dildos.

  • Best G-spot vibrator. Which one to pick?
    • Rachell25
LELO has presented a couple of very well designed G-spot vibrators, like Gigi, Liv and Elise, lately. Just looking at them makes me feel horny. They all have great features and different vibration modes and they are also rechargeable, so I can safe my money on batteries.
Gigi seems to be the toy of my dreams due to its well pronounced curved tip. I guess that will lead to a better contact with my G-spot.
Any ideas, suggestions, tips? Anything will do.

PS: Will Gigi make me squirt???
    • Rainbow
Wow... that looks really splendid, in fact, all of them do.
It looks like it's going to be my G-spot's best friend for ages.

That must be a bargain but it is kind of expensive for me at the moment but as soon as I can afford one I will surely have one in my toy box.
    • Siren
My dear, not every woman is able to "squirt", it depends on every woman's physiology but it is definitely going to send you to Seven's Heaven of Pleasure.
I own one, the Liv, and it's just terrible, in the good meaning of the word.
I can assure you, you made a perfect choice if you're looking for G-spot stimulation.
