Ridged rocker - g-spot vibrator discontinued by NMC Ltd - review by missthing

I purchased the Ridged rocker as a last-ditch attempt to find the ever elusive g-spot. I knew when I placed my order of the rocker that it was hard plastic, but once I tried to use it I did not consider this to be a good thing. Although the rigidity of the material makes it easy to target certain areas, it can also make it a little painful to maneuver when inserted. The ridges and the curve are a bit scary in the beginning and actually make this vibrator a little hard to insert. If I tried to insert or remove it too quickly, it was quite painful. It is important to use a good amount of lubricant for easy entry.

The curved end of this toy also makes for a great clitoral stimulator. I would say I have used it more for that purpose than for my G-spot. The properties of this vibrator that make it scary for vaginal use (rigidity, hard angle) actually make it great for use as a general massager. I frequently have problems with knots in my shoulder muscles, and this vibrator has worked great for relieving these pains.

The vibration function of this toy is wonderful. It has 10 vibrating functions; this gives you great variety. The functions are controlled by a small button at the base of the toy. The strength of the vibrations vary widely as well, so it is very easy to find a setting that works best for your body.

This vibrator is constructed out of a hard plastic material with a soft surface texture. They rigidity of its shell seems to transfer the vibrations very well, so you really can get the vibrations to the target area. The Ridged rocker does have a sort of ribbed design below the curved head. While this would be a good quality in other vibrators, it is of little consequence here. The fairly pronounced curve at the tip does not allow for any thrusting motion, so for me the ribs were pointless.

This vibrator has a really nice size, but again, the rigidity and shape does not allow for a wide range of motions. Because of the vibrators angle, it is very comfortable to hold without having to twist your wrist at awkward angles.

I would suggest that this toy be used by more advanced users and not by the faint of heart. The Ridged rocker is pretty obviously a vibrator, so unless you are okay with the world knowing you have a vibrator, I wouldn't suggest it for travel.

This toy overall did not work for vaginal use for me. It was more uncomfortable and awkward than satisfying. But like I said before, it is great for other uses. It has a great waterproof feature that allows for use in the shower/tub and makes washing the toy after use very easy. The toy is relatively quite for the amount of power it exerts in its vibrations. The toy uses three AAA batteries, which to me is inconvenient since every other toy I have uses AA.

This toy is extremely easy to care for and clean. Because of its hard plastic material, I just use good old soap and water on it. Its waterproof design also makes for very easy cleaning. Because of its hard plastic construction, a variety of lubes may be used with this toy, so no need to buy something special.
