A little variety
This is a great vibrator for clitoral stimulation, and works well for penetration too, especially for beginners. It is easy to use, and won't intimidate someone new to toys; whether that is you or your partner. It is waterproof and is a very nice addition to any water activities. I purchased the Intimate interludes vibrator to replace the Velvet touch vibrator, which I'd broken on a rock. I really liked that vibrator, but I was looking for a little variety. The Intimate interludes vibrator is like two waterproof vibrators in one.
As a clitoral stimulator this toy works excellently with and without the velvet sleeve. If you want to concentrate the vibrations directly on your clitoris, try the vibrator alone. With the addition of the sleeve, the shape of the tip changes. There is a bulbous tip to the sleeve that allows it to stimulate a larger area. It feels great both ways, it just depends on what you are in the mood for.
Either way the large range of speeds are great; from light and arousing, to powerful and orgasm inducing. Some people have said that the intensity of the vibrations, wasn't enough for them, but I have never had that problem. It always gets me off, and I can even cum multiple times while using this toy. It is great for use with a partner, too. The simple design and smaller size are not as intimidating to your partner, and the bulbous head allows you to position it out of the way during sex while still maintaining clitoral contact.
The soft smooth velvet texture on the sleeve feels nice externally, but the important part is the bulbous head. Sadly, I had to throw this toy away recently. It occasionally gets unscrewed while you are adjusting the speed and, while it is waterproof, this caused a problem. Water got inside mine, and I didn't realize it until the rust had formed, and it was too late. This toy is fairly inexpensive so I will simply replace it, but after you use yours in the shower/bathtub/pool/stream/etc, it may be worth it to unscrew it and make sure that any water that did get in dries out.
Even with the rust, and apparently while there was moisture inside it, the toy still worked. I didn't experience any loss of vibrations, but when I noticed the rust in the battery compartment I decided it was better to be safe than sorry. Just keep an eye on yours and store it in a way that would allow it to dry completely, and you shouldn't have this problem.
Obviously you can use the vibrator without the sleeve, but you can also use the sleeve on it's own. With my waterproof toys, I always leave them out to dry without the cap on just to make sure any dampness that could've gotten in the battery compartment can evaporate.
