A Nice and Buzzy Light Show

This Posh Teaser no. 1 has a unique color and texture that makes it different from other toys in the same line, while still being made of the same type of pure silicone. However, the light and noise might make it feel more like a sci-fi weapon than a sex toy, and certain areas are tough to clean.

Use

Given the curved tip of this vibrator, it is optimal for G-spot stimulation via insertion into the vagina. While it is not as sharply curved as some other G-spot toys, that makes this vibrator that much more beginner-friendly, in addition to the easy functions and clean-up. It could, however, still be used by those with more experience with G-spot toys. The tip and shaft can also be used to stimulate the clitoris.

The only issue with a shallow curve, though, is that it may or may not hit the G-spot in as noticeable of a way as other toys might. Add to that the insertable length of 5.5 inches and the circumference of 4 inches, and you have a toy that might not be suitable for those seeking girth or depth.

It is waterproof, so it should hold up fine in the shower as long as the cap is screwed on tightly. I have stayed away from completely submerging it, though, since the batteries are part of the vibrator unit.

Material / Texture

The magenta exterior of this Posh Teaser is made of pure silicone, with the exception of the small metallic ring made of an unspecified material. As silicone should be, it is nonporous, odorless, and fairly smooth to the touch.

What distinguishes this Posh Teaser from its relatives numbers 2 through 4 is not only the color, but the texture of the exterior. There are raised waves all along the body of the vibrator that swirl in a non-linear pattern that is mirrored along each vertical half of the vibrator, which adds stimulation.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design is not nearly as intimidating as other, larger G-spot vibrators. The tip curves enough to hit the G-spot; whether or not it can be felt depends on if the user knows where their own G-spot is in the first place. The different curves and ridges might be a bit too much for those who are completely new to the sex toy world, but otherwise the various curves and raised waves along the body make for a nice variation on the traditional vibe. Water-based lube is highly recommended, though, to ensure smooth entry with the least amount of discomfort.

Of the 6 inches in length, 5.5 inches can be inserted (which is the distance from the tip to the metallic ring). The circumference is 4 inches, or about 1.5 inches in diameter, which might be a turn-off for those seeking more width. However, it is ideal for a beginner who has some experience with penetration.

Functions / Performance / Controls

As evidenced by the title, one of the things that struck me the most about this Posh Teaser vibrator was the little halo of light where the push button is. For each of the ten functions, the light flashes or stays lit to match the vibration pattern. This can be fairly distracting if one is using it in the dark because the light is very bright, to the point where it can be used as a flashlight.

To operate this vibrator, there is a button at the bottom for the person to press. One push is all it takes to turn it on and change the function; to turn it off, the button has to be pressed for three seconds. When you turn it back on, it will begin with the next function after the one you last used (example: if you turned it off during the low constant vibration, it will turn back on with the escalating short pulse vibration). It is fairly touch-sensitive, though. Bumping it against a finger or other not-so-hard surface is enough to make it change function, which means pressing the button ten more times to return to that particular function.

The variety of functions, though, makes it extremely unlikely that one would need to quickly press the button ten times. The instruction sheet provides a nice visual for the ten different functions, which are as follows:
1. High constant vibration
2. Medium constant vibration
3. Low constant vibration
4. Escalating rapid pulses
5. Medium pulsing
6. High pulsing
7. High short pulses
8. Medium short pulses
9. High sustained pulses
10. Low short pulses
It is a bit noisy, though; not in terms of loudness, but in the actual noise it makes. When you hear the soft buzzing at different intensities and add the synchronized light, it's tough to not think of sci-fi.

This vibrator takes 2 AAA batteries inserted into the body of the vibrator one after the other, and the battery life is quite impressive. I was able to let it run for three hours straight, and it still has power to spare for another hour before I felt the need to change the batteries. However, the vibration intensity does decrease as time goes on, and it can be heard after about an hour of use.
    • Long lasting power
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet

Care and Maintenance

Because the entire exterior is made of pure silicone (with the exception of the metallic ring where you screw the cap on), it is very easy to clean. Boiling is discouraged, though, since it is a battery-operated toy. Either toy cleaner or warm soap and water should suffice.

However, gunk does have a tendency to get stuck in the tiny crevices between the metallic ring and the silicone. It is important to pay special attention to this area when cleaning; unscrewing the cap and using a wet wipe should do the trick, but be sure to get underneath the ridge where the ring meets the main body of the vibrator.

As for lubes, only use those that are water-based. Silicone lube with silicone toys equals a ruined toy.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
Follow-up commentary
I can safely say that this vibrator has helped me finally locate my ever-elusive G-spot! The curve is angled just enough to be felt and used for exploration without being uncomfortable. However, the bee-like buzzing and the flashing light at the bottom are not going anywhere, so I use it more for vaginal stimulation than clitoral stimulation. At least this way, the buzzing is much more muted and the light is not shining right at me.
