The Sweetheart vibrator by Shaki Toys is a three speed traditional vibrator. It is adorned with cute little hearts that provide some extra stimulation for those who are a fan of texture. Even the power button is a cute heart shape! Being a traditional vibrator the Sweetheart is meant to be used for vaginal penetration, it does make a great all over massager though, either for solo use or with a partner. You can tease any erogenous zone with the Sweetheart, your nipples, clit, roll it down your partner's back during a massage, give your guy's balls some buzz, or even run it down his shaft. The Sweetheart does not have a flared base, so it is not recommended for safe anal play. Doing so could land you in the ER with a very embarrassing story for the doc. An added bonus, the Sweetheart is waterproof for use in the tub or shower, or where ever your heart desires.

The Sweetheart vibrator is made from a pretty pink plastic. The product page for the Sweetheart list it as plastic with an Eden Fantasys' safey rating of 8. The plastic that the Sweetheart is made from does appear to be coated as it has a very velvety feel to it. A little bit of research confirmed this, as the product page from the manufacture's website list the Sweetheart as being made from ABS plastic with a PU coat. The PU in PU coat stands for polyurethane, Eden Fantasys rates PU coated plastic a 7 on their safety scale. PU coated plastic is phthalates free. Plastic is normally non-porous but with a PU coat on it it can become semi-porous depending on the thickness of the PU coat applied over the plastic, as gradations on that coating can give bacteria places to hide. When it comes to a materials safety I always err on the side of caution, I think it would be best to use precautions when considering sharing this toy with others and cover it with a condom. The plastic does have a slight odor when first receiving it, but it is only noticed when holding the Sweetheart up to your nose for a sniff. The Sweetheart is very firm and ridged, there is no bend, squish or give to this toy. Although the PU coat does give it a nice velvety feel.

The shaft of the Sweetheart is adorned in cute little hearts of various sizes. They run from the base of the shaft up to 1 inch from the tip. The tip of the Sweetheart is smooth with no texture to it. The hearts provide a nubby texture that can be felt during use.

The design of the Sweetheart is pretty basic for a traditional vibrator aside from the cute hearts it is covered in. The Sweetheart has a straight shaft that tapers slightly form the tip towards the base. Overall it is 6 inches long with 5 inches of that being insertable. The tip of the Sweetheart is rounded and is 3.5 inches in circumference with a diameter of 1 inch. Towards the base of the Sweetheart, at its widest point, it is 4.25 inches in circumference. There is no G-spot head or curve to this toy, but a bit of angling during use could hit the sweet spot. Overall I think the size of the Sweetheart is good for users of all levels, it will not be too girthly that it would be uncomfortable for beginners and it provides nice texture and rigidity for more advanced users. Also as it is not too large in size, it would fit nicely in an overnight bag for a fun little travel companion.

The Sweetheart is powered by 3-AAA batteries and has 3 vibration settings. You will noticed when taking off the battery cap to place the batteries in the toy that there is a rubber o-ring, the Sweetheart is waterproof. There is a single heart shaped button located on the base of the toy that turns it on, cycles through the vibration settings, and turns it off. I will admit I am a sucker for anything heart shaped, that is why I just had to have the Sweetheart. Covered in hearts AND has a heart shaped button, sold! The button is a very soft baby pink color which contrast nicely against the darker bright pink the rest of the toy is made from.

There are three vibration settings for the Sweetheart; low, medium, and high. There are no patterned vibrations, only steady settings. This thing is quite powerful, but just as loud. So loud that you could not use this discreetly under the covers and not be found out, I would even suggest turning on some background noise of you are using behind thin walls or doors. I would rate the vibration settings as follows:

Low: 2.5 vrooms and 3 bees
Medium: 3 vrooms and 3 bees
High: 4.5 vrooms and 4 bees

The heart shaped button controls the vibrations. Pressing the button down once will turn the Sweetheart on to low, pressing it again gets you to medium, then again to move to high, pressing it down a fourth time will turn the Sweetheart off. In order to turn the Sweetheart off once it is on, you must cycle through all three settings before you can press the button to turn it off.

Plastic is fairly simple to care for, just wash with warm water and antibacterial soap or your favorite toy cleaner. You can also wipe it down with isopropyl alcohol. Being that there is a possibility of the PU coat being semi-porous due to differences in thickness of the coat applied, I would suggest covering with a condom if you intend on sharing. The Sweetheart is compatible with all lubes, so you free to use with water, silicone or oil based lubes, which ever is your favorite. Plastic toys are fairly easy to store as you do not have to worry about them melting like jelly, but there is a small concern that the color of plastic toys could bleed onto toys made from soft materials like TPR or jelly if they are stored against each other. I usually just store all my plastic toys together so I have no worries about other materials melting onto them or them sharing their color with any of my soft toys.

I would not call the box that the Sweetheart came in discreet. There was a picture of a topless women in pink hot pants on the front of the box, and even though she is covering her breast, it still screams something sex related. You will also find the words 'sex toy' on the front of the box. No worries though, because like everything ordered from Eden Fantasys, it came delivered to my front door in a very discreet plain cardboard box with no mentions of sex toys to tip off the mailman or any nosey neighbors.

Overall I have been fairly pleased with the power that this cute economical toy has provided. I find myself very drawn to toys that are cute or fun in design, I am not a very big fan of realistic looking toys, for this reason the Sweetheart really appealed to me. I am also a fan of plastic toys, I find that the hard plastic does a great job at carrying the vibrations well, they do not get muffled by thick layers of soft material.
