A Remote and an Egg with No Control

A nice remote control vibrator would be a great addition to any toy collection and it would make for a great toy to share with a partner; however, the Remote control Egg by Shaki Toys is not the place to find your dream toy.

The Remote Control Egg by Shaki Toys was quite the disappointment. I had hoped for a remote control egg that I could have in while my boyfriend had complete control of the remote. Unfortunately, this toy was nothing as I hoped it would be.When the remote was placed directly next to the egg the control worked great; however, if there was anything that could was between the wires on the control and the egg, the remote control would not work. Therefore, when the egg is inserted, if you have a blanket or any clothes blocking, or your leg was in the way, then the egg would not react to the remote control.

The vibrations on the Remote Control Egg was very weak. Although there were different settings of intensity with ten different vibration patterns, the weak vibrations make the patterns barely recognizable.

Furthermore, the Remote Control Egg is made from a plastic material. Although the material feels nice and slides in nicely, it can become a bit too slippery and slide out just as easily. The larger circumference (4 1/2") also makes the egg slip out easily.

The Remote Control Egg does have some pros. The egg is very quiet which makes it very easy to hide the noise if you share a house with others. Also, the toy is relatively small, which also helps for hiding the toy. Therefore, if you are looking for a discreet toy with very basic vibrations for a low price, then the Remote Control Egg is for you.

I do not recommend this egg to anyone looking for a fun remote control egg. Although the price is low, the cost of batteries can be overwhelming over time as this toy requires a total of ten watch batteries (six in the egg and four in the remote). If you are looking for a remote control egg, I recommend saving up some money and spending a bit more on something much better.
Follow-up commentary
Since the last review, I have tried to use the Remote Control Egg again, but it is still a disappointment. I have tried to find other ways to use it, but the connections between the remote and the egg are so weak that it seems the only way to get the egg vibrating is to turn it on with the remote right next to before using it.

After another two weeks passed, I took the Remote Control Egg out again and it did not turn on at all. I have only used the egg a few times and it seems the batteries have already died. Since the remote uses watch batteries, which could be costly (especially since this product requires four, in addition to two AA batteries for the egg), I have no desire to go out and buy new batteries for a toy I do not see myself wanting to using anymore.
