All Ears

The Jack Rabbit Jr. by Cal Exotics provided me with both a general understanding and a certain appreciation for rabbit vibrators. Sure, there are many other options out there, and this may end up being just the tip of the iceberg for me, but it's one hell of a start. The strong vibration of the ears alone have me sold on this one.

Use

The Jack Rabbit Jr. by Cal Exotics may be small, but it certainly packs quite a punch. It provides a variety of user-friendly settings, which stimulate both the clitoris and the vagina. If you're feeling creative, you can also use the intense vibrations generated by the ears of the rabbit to stimulate other areas of the body. My favorite alternative area for these vibrations would have to be my nipples. I found myself using the ears to tease them which would, in turn, build a throbbing anticipation for use on my clit.

As I have found to be true with many rabbit vibrators, the alignment was slightly off. This is normal and to be expected - not everyone has the same anatomy. I found a way to remedy this inconvenience by first sliding the ears over my clit and then thrusting the insertable length into my vagina. By repeating this simple motion over and over again, I was able to cum in no time. The strong vibrations of the rabbit ears gliding over my clitoris alone was enough to send me into leg-shaking, orgasmic bliss.

This rabbit vibrator is extremely versatile and may be enjoyed alone or with a partner. I’m looking forward to using it with my girlfriend. By all means, feel free to experiment with this one. Get creative. Enjoy yourself.

Material / Texture

Safety is always the most important factor when choosing a sex toy, in my opinion. I'm consistently searching for the safest, most reliable materials. With that being said, I'm glad to report that The Jack Rabbit Jr. is made of body-safe, phthalate-free silicone, except for the control panel, of course - that is made of plastic.

The silicone is non-porous and gives off no noticeable scent. It is firm and able to provide ample pressure to desired areas, while effectively carrying vibrations. The smooth shaft glides in and out with ease, especially when well-lubricated. This rabbit is more on the rigid side, but features "free floating pleasure pearls" to add some variety in texture.

Design / Shape / Size

There is certainly more to the Jack Rabbit Jr. than meets the eye - but we'll start there. Just take a moment to admire each of the four individual color choices: White, pink, purple, and blue. You will undoubtedly notice a few slight differences in design. I received the blue Jack Rabbit Jr. Although it is a lovely color, I found this to be rather unfortunate, seeing as the other three designs seem to share a common curve which would cause them to be a little more G-spot oriented. I've always been akin to any G-spot friendly design, but alas, this is only a personal preference.

My main concern with this rabbit vibrator also falls under the category of personal preferences. Yes, I understand that this vibrator has "Jr." in the name, but I figured I should still point out the fact that it is very small. The insertable length is only a mere four inches with an equally petite circumference measuring in at six inches. Clearly not a good choice for size queens.

Another issue I came across dealt with positioning. This has been a familiar and seemingly unavoidable problem with each and every rabbit vibrator I've tried in the past. Nobody has an identical body. We are all unique snowflakes, and so on. This can often lead to difficulty in the success of these types of toys. But don't despair! Adapt and overcome. I found a way to remedy this inconvenience by starting with the ears, my favorite part, which I slid over my clit before fully inserting the shaft. This simple back-and-forth, in-and-out motion made for an excellent orgasm.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The layout of the control panel is simple, yet effective. The buttons light up, which is something that can be extremely helpful at times. There is a gear box instruction manual included that provides brief information on the controls and even offers instructions on proper battery insertion and maintenance.

This rabbit boasts "5 Dynamic Rhythms of Squirmy":
1. Clockwise
2. Anti-Clockwise
3. Even Step
4. Even Step (Fast)
5. Intermittent

Also, "5 Dynamic Rhythms of Vibrator":
1. Vibrate (High)
2. Surge
3. Intra-Surge
4. Intermittent
5. Vibrate (Low)

My preferred rhythms were Even Step (Fast) and a tie between Vibrate (High) and Surge, respectively. Each of them were fairly noisy. So noisy, in fact, that I tried to muffle the sound with various blanket and pillow arrangements. Nothing world-shaking like my favorite Magic Wand, but still blatant. If you have roommates or anyone else within a close proximity, I'd suggest playing music to offset the buzzing.

The Jack Rabbit Jr. is also safe for use in water, so I decided to take it for a spin in the shower. The gear box closed tightly and did not allow any water to seep in. Being in the water made it even more simple to wipe down and dry off afterwards. I'm always a bit apprehensive about using mechanical toys in or around water and so I didn't completely submerge it in a bathtub or anything, but I can report that it held up nicely in the shower.
    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance for this particular rabbit vibrator is made much easier for the fact that it's made of silicone. Silicone is non-porous and can be cleaned by simple antibacterial soap and water, or you can opt to wipe it down with a ten percent bleach solution to ensure absolute cleanliness. As for maintenance, just make sure to remove all batteries when cleaning or storing to prevent leakage and to preserve battery life. Do not store with other silicone toys or use with any silicone-based lubricants because they will degrade this toy. Water-based lubricants are not only safe, they are also highly recommended for use with silicone toys, since they will not break down the material.

Thanks for sharing! I'm not too fond of noisy toys, especially when the noise is louder than the toy is powerful.
