ATTN: Leave the Paper IN!

The Pleasure Petals Vibrator is a good buy for the price, if you like texture. I found the vibrations to be wonderfully rumbly for a plastic vibe, but the texture was unsettling. The texture is in a really pretty design which I did admire and continued to use externally after I found out I didn't enjoy it while inserted.

Use

This is the first traditional vibrator I have owned that takes C batteries. I was a bit scared! Being a free toy, I also wasn't expecting to be blown away, but I was actually impressed on some levels. This larger sized, torpedo style vibrator packs a large rumbly punch which works well for clitoral stimulation and those who can handle the texture. For me, the texture was too much, but it will likely work for some that way. I preferred to use the texture and vibrations externally which led to nice orgasms. If you like larger traditional vibrators that are powerful and have texture, the Pleasure Petals is an excellent choice at a great price. Just make sure to keep the piece of paper inside the battery compartment, otherwise you are going to need ear plugs for the noise level!

Material / Texture

The Pleasure Petals is made of European grade, ABS plastic. This plastic is phthalate and latex free, hypo-allergenic, and food grade. It has a REALLY nice matte, velvety texture to it that make me want to keep touching it. The plastic is decent. It doesn't feel cheap, but it also doesn't feel that strong either. ABS plastic is non porous, but cannot be sterilized. Using a condom for sharing is still recommended. It has no smell or taste either. I should also mention the gorgeous color. I really like the salmon peach tones.

There is a raised, pretty, flower and vine design that creates an interesting texture on the surface of the vibrator. It is raised less than 1/8" but is very noticeable when inserted. For me, it was too intense internally, but was fine externally.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

Most traditionally shaped, what I like to call "torpedo" style, vibrators are smaller than this one. They rarely go past about 6 or 6 1/2". This one is pretty hefty. It's about 7 3/4" long and 6 3/4" of that is insertable. The thickness is larger too. The diameter is about 1 3/8" and it has a circumference of just over 4". The texture doesn't start right at the top. It doesn't start until the torpedo rounded tip totally blends into the then straight shaft. The girth is decent for many women, but the length isn't so useful since this toy is rigid. Even without the texture, I don't know that I would enjoy inserting this fully. if the texture does both you, this vibrator can still be inserted an inch or two to transfer vibrations inward.

The end has a clear screw on cap. At the end is a dial for vibration control. It is easy to turn, but not so easy that it will get knocked easily. Inside is where two C batteries get inserted. A slip of paper is also inside. You need to get the batteries in while keeping the paper in there. DON'T THROW IT OUT! If you turn the toy on without the slip of paper in there, the noise level is so high that it would be the loudest toy I have experienced.

This toy is REALLY heavy with those batteries in it. Because of this, it isn't the best for travel and also isn't very discreet because it is so traditional looking.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Due to being a cheap toy and having a dial base. This doesn't have a whole lot of different speeds. It's supposed to be variable but it is more like off, low, and holy crap. The low vibrations are nice and rumbly. I was actually surprised by this. The high level is really nice and I would consider it to be high compared to the average toy. If you leave the paper in, I would say this toy is loud if you don't have it in contact with the body, but once you do, it drops the noise level down to an average, non-annoying level. It can't be heard through a door, but would be heard across the room. Without the paper, a person on a different level of the house could probably hear it!

This toy is not waterproof, so don't use it in the tub or shower.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is fairly easy to care for. It can be used with any kind of lubricant. To clean, use a washcloth and warm water with soap. Using a washcloth or soft bristled brush will help clean between the raised texture. Remove the batteries before storing and make sure the battery compartment is dry. Store in the package or by itself.

Packaging

The packaging is simple. It is a snap to close plastic case with a picture of a girl on the front. Thankfully, she is not completely naked. There isn't a lot of information to the packaging and it can be recycled or thrown out.

Experience

I really liked the rumbly vibrations. I could achieve orgasm through my pants! My vagina didn't love this vibrator as much as my clit did though. I found it uncomfortable to insert. It wasn't terribly painful, but it just wasn't a good feeling. I did like using the texture externally though! I don't like having to replace C batteries, so when they died after only a few hours of play, I wasn't about to run to the store to replace them. I still will recommend this vibrator to someone on a budget who likes texture though.
Follow-up commentary
I'm not a large enough fan of this toy to keep it around. It would be awesome if they made it in a silicone version. I think I'd try it again if the ridges were not as abrasive. It simply doesn't do enough for me and eats batteries fairly quickly. C is not cheap!
