Pocket rocket junior - pocket rocket discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by twilightsparkle

I got this toy in a kit of some kind or another about a year ago. I expected it to be just a little throwaway something, but I was pleasantly surprised. This mini Pocket Rocket is more powerful than you'd expect for the size, and it's so perfectly tiny that you can stick it anywhere - I kept mine in my pillowcase for a while just to have easy access for impromptu middle of the night sex. :)

You can use it with or without the little tip - I found it far too buzzy and strong without the tip. (I prefer my vibrations over a larger surface). It's just the right size for clit play, and the plastic is easy to clean. If you don't like hard plastic, don't bother with it, however. And it only has one setting - be forewarned. Like its larger iteration, this mini Pocket Rocket twists at the base to go on and off, and that's all. The hard plastic is easy to clean.

Right off the bat, the batteries are a PAIN to replace. My husband hunted for N batteries for weeks for me before finding them. The batteries don't die quickly, though, so that's a plus. And it's still better than button batteries, but not as nice as AAs.

Vibrations are okay, not powerful, but nice for me. I really like using it during sex, as it's tiny enough to slip between us, like a bullet would be. Very quiet, very discreet. So excellent for traveling. But I would never grab it for play on my own with other vibrators available, mostly because it wasn't enough to get me off without some kind of other stimulation. As such, this is a great addition to couples play, but not solo.

However, this is the perfect little gift for a girlfriend, even one who's vibrator shy. It's a great little gateway item for those just starting out with sex toys.

This toy is excellent for gifts - bridesmaid, bachelorette party, what have you. It's cute, comes in pretty colors, and it doesn't scream sex toy. Far better than a gag gift that would never get used.

While cleaning out my toy box, I happened upon my favorite little mini toy again. Deciding to give it another spin, it still didn't disappoint. I've decided I'm going to just have to suck it up and keep a stock of N batteries around. I'm keeping it in my purse now.
