Waterproof remote egg - egg discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by BBW Talks Toys

If you've ever seen the movie, The Ugly Truth, you'll understand why I was intrigued by a remote controlled toy. While this is a slightly different concept than the vibrating panties that Katherine Heigl wears, the basic concept is the same. You're wearing a toy, someone else has the controls!

This can be used internally for vaginal stimulation. This can also, if it's comfortable for you, be situated on your clitoris. You can wear this on the clit during sex too and not have to worry about your egg being tied to a remote control, offering you freedom with positions and erogenous zones that a corded toy may not provide. You can certainly use this for anal stimulation if you promise not to insert this. There's not really a retrieval cord, nor a flared base that would prevent this from getting lost in your rectum. Slightly less embarrassing than a hamster or a banana up there, but not much less. You can also tease the nipples, penis, perineum, testicles. If it sits correctly with your anatomy, this will stimulate your G-spot too!

This egg is made of ABS plastic. The plastic seems to me that if it were dropped it could crack easily. It's definitely not the most thickest, hardest plastic I've come across with my toys and I would have liked it to be thicker, sturdier. The whole egg is smooth and without any kind of texture.

This egg is a bright pink egg that's about 3-4 inches long. It's longer than I would have liked it to be because it made it hard to hold in and my kegels definitely got a workout the day I took it out! As much as I tried, I couldn't get it to get near my G-spot. However, if yours is less hidden you might get that lovely sensation! Personally, I'd love to see one of these shaped like an "L" that was waterproof and remote controlled. Now that would be an amazing wireless bullet. As long as you don't have to go through any metal detectors, this is perfectly discreet. The remote fits easily in your pocket and even if you needed to carry the toy in your pocket, this would be fantastic.

Here are where my issues arise. It's a strong little bullet and it has 10 amazing vibration levels and patterns; but... there always have to be a but... The remote has no dedicated On/Off button. This was extremely unpleasant when I was out. Since it was already difficult to hold in, when I got to the point that I'd had enough, I had to (or My Mr had to) cycle through all the patterns, which is greatly annoying and slightly irritating for the vagina.

There are still positives for this buddy though. If you can handle the size and having to cycle through, there are some great features. First, range. Oh. My. Goodness! I tested it one night at home. My Mr in the basement, me two stories above him in our bedroom. No problem! We also tested it on our way out. He was at the car, I was inside getting my keys. He turned it on and Wham! Suddenly I'm vibrating. It has a long wire that sticks out of it that definitely picks up the signal! Second, batteries. Yes, the remote takes an N battery (bummer) but the egg takes 2-AAAs. This is nice because you're only having to replace one set of battery in the "pricey" level. It comes with two sets of batteries and as long as you take them out when not in use, you can get several sessions out of one set of batteries. Third, sound. Now if you're sitting next to someone in a pin-drop quiet setting, or if you don't have this fully inserted, you can hear this. Yes, even when it's buried inside you. However, if there's a TV going, people chatting, and especially if you're at a club, NO ONE will know what is happening in your panties. Perfect discreet toy if you're out with friends. And if you have the kinds of friends that you can do this with, you can even pass the remote around and make a game of trying to guess who has the remote!

I didn't test this in water. Suffice it to say that even with a nice rubber O ring around the battery compartment, just my juices and my lube were a little too much for this toy and I ended up having to clean the little grooves. Not my idea of an easy clean up since the inside is definitely not waterproof! So if cleaning out the grooves of your toy is not your idea of fun, wrap this baby in a condom so you don't have to get toothpicks. Live and learn, I guess.

One thing that's nice about the ABS plastic is that it's compatible with any lubricant you prefer. Grape seed oil? No problem. Silicone? No problem. Water-based? Definitely no problem.

Washing the outside with warm water and soap or toy cleaner should do the basic job. As stated above, clean up can be a bitch if you don't decide to cover this up with a condom. Otherwise, maintenance is a breeze. I wouldn't trust this to be sterilized with a bleach solution, even if washed thoroughly, because of the grooves. A condom is your best bet if you want to share and keep nasty chemicals out of your own girly bits!

To reiterate about batteries, take them out when this toy isn't being used. The egg, with batteries in it is "waiting" for a signal, so even when not in use, it's on, draining the batteries. I store my egg and the remote and extra batteries in the box it came in.
