Use

The Minivibe baby bug by Fun Factory is a cutesy, discreet, clitoral or vaginal vibrator. It almost looks like a child's toy because of the innocent look of the caterpillar. This is best used to stimulate the clitoris or anywhere outside the vagina. You can also use this internally, though it's pretty short so you won't be doing any heavy thrusting with it; it's a good tease. Do not use this toy anally, it isn't designed to be used safely in that manner. You can use this cute critter on your nipples or other external body parts of you or your partner. This vibe can be used alone or with a partner. It is waterproof, so you can take it into the shower or bath with you. It's pretty small, so it can be tossed into a purse as well as a suitcase or overnight bag.

Material / Texture

The baby bug is made of 100% body safe silicone. He is phthalates and latex free, hypo-allergenic, and non-porous. It has some drag to it but that is easily fixed with some water-based lubricant. I like the feel of the soft, smooth silicone. I chose this vibe because of the bulges of the bug's body and the thought that the little feet might do something extra. The bulges can definitely be felt when using vaginally, it was a very pleasing sensation. I wish this toy was longer! The feet really didn't stick up much to notice internally, though they can slightly be felt when rubbing it outside of the vagina. The texture would be fine for any user because it isn't too intense to cause discomfort to a beginner.
I did not notice any smell when I opened the box.

Close up of some detail:

Design / Shape / Size

The Minivibe baby bug looks just like a cutesy little caterpillar. Some people may be turned off by the whimsical look of this cute critter because he has a face and is smiling back at you, but if you don't focus on that, it won't be a problem. As I mentioned earlier, I got this for texture and I did enjoy that, I just wish this had more insertable length to it (like the Patchy Paul vibe).
The measurements are:
Length: 5"
Insertable length: 4"
Circumference: 4"
Diameter: 1 1/4"

There isn't much toy to do any deep penetration with. When lubricant is added, it makes it a bit more challenging to hold onto if it gets on the battery cap, when trying to use this vaginally. The size is great for beginners or any user, though size queens won't get much out of the stubby little cutie.

Here is the bug in my hand and compare to the We-Vibe Salsa and LELO Mona 2:

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Minivibe baby bug is pretty simple to use. It takes two AA batteries.
To turn it on, press the + button and hold down for about two seconds. To increase speed, press the + button.
The bug has multiple speeds. It was a little difficult for me to distinguish exactly how many, and even with reading other reviews, I saw different answers. To me, I felt 7, possibly 8 different speeds when pressing the + button.
To decrease the speed, press the - button until it slows to the point it is barely vibrating, then press the button again and it's off.
It has three vibration patterns which feel to me, like surging or revving. To access the patterns, when the toy is on the highest vibration setting, press and hold down on the + button for a couple seconds and it will switch over. The revving/surging goes from low, medium, to high. While in the pattern mode, pressing the - button will bring it back to normal vibrations.

The baby bug is waterproof. I never used to be one to test my things out in the water because I don't use them in the bath or shower. I don't know why I didn't think of using a cup of water before, but only recently have I started doing this. With the cap twisted on and locked, the Baby bug will work just fine in water. You just need to make sure you twist the cap on tight. When it's on completely, it doesn't add up evenly with the rest of the toy which had me concerned, but that seems to be the way it's supposed to be on.

The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire toy, but it feels like they are stronger in the head and second bulge of the toy, which is great for clitoral stimulation.

The toy is fairly quiet and I couldn't hear it outside of my closed door.

Care and Maintenance

This little bug is easy to care for, though you need to make sure to get in the creases and clean around the detail (feet, face). You can use a 10% bleach solution, toy cleaner, wipes or mild soap and warm water. You should store him in a place where he won't pick up hair, lint, or other particles, because he easily does. You should only use water based lubricant with it.

Packaging

The packaging is not discreet, the bug is right on display. It can be used for storage if needed. Inside the box is an instruction manual as well as a sample of Fun Factory's Toy Fluid lubricant. The box also has information printed around it.

Experience

This toy isn't as strong as I had hoped, but the texture was enough to make me like it. I don't feel like a rating of 4 vrooms is really accurate, though I feel it is stronger than a 3, but a 3 is what it is going to be rated by me. I tend to go for toys that are 4 or 5 vrooms, but I am satisfied with the little bug. The shape and texture is very unique, which I think helps it out alot.
Follow-up commentary
This is a cute, decent vibe if you're looking for the bulged texture. The little feet and face of the bug are able to be felt externally for something a little different texture wise. If you're looking for something for deep penetration, this isn't the vibe for you.

Thanks! This is a pretty cute little vibe, but the body of this guy reminds me too much of that build a cootie game I had when I was a little kid
