Revitalize - classic pocket rocket discontinued by Blush Novelties - review by SweetSaffron

Pocket rockets are very versatile toys, and an excellent addition for anyone of any experience level. They are used for external stimulation of any erogenous zone - typically on the clitoris, but can also be used on the nipples, labia, perineum, anus, scrotum, or along the shaft or head of the penis. They can also be used as pinpoint massagers to relieve muscle tension or knots.

Revitalize is quiet enough that it can be used discreetly anywhere, and is the perfect size to travel with, as it will fit nicely in any pocket or bag. Revitalize is waterproof, so feel free to bring it along into the shower, though it is not submersible, so avoid using it in the pool or tub.

My absolute favorite aspect of Revitalize is the metallic-looking plastic at the base. The texture provides a wonderful grip, even if your fingers are slippery with lube or lotion, making it far less likely that you'll drop it.

The rest of the toy is a velvety plastic, which feels quite nice on the skin, and the massaging nubs are metal. Plastic is quite high on the material safety scale because it's nonporous.

There is no discernible taste or odor to this toy.

The design of this is fantastic - there is a textured grip, which is marvelous, as I am one to apply lube frequently and often have slippery fingers because of this.

The shape is the same as any other pocket rocket, and I find that it works wonderfully for me. I have had a few pocket rockets (I tend to wear them out quickly) and some have been rather weak, while others have been stronger than a Hitachi. This one seems to be just slightly under the Hitachi in strength, when a new battery is used.

The size makes this type of toy a great travel companion, as well as wonderful if you need to hide your toys. It can slip easily into any spot, making it easy to pack or hide.

This is ideal for beginners and advanced users alike. It is not intimidating, nor is it so simplistic that advanced users will be bored. I would not recommend this to fans of vibration patterns or variable speeds, as this has only one option.

The appearance of Revitalize does not scream "sex toy" and thus will be handy if you are worried about nosy roommates or kids finding it - this is your pretty neck massager, yes?

Due to the size of this toy, pretty much the entire thing vibrates, but the vibrations are focused at the end with the bumps.

There is only one function - on - and it's quite powerful. The base doesn't change from on to off very easily, thus you won't be able to switch it on or off one-handed. It occasionally presents difficulties when you try to close it after opening the battery compartment, which can be mildly frustrating, especially as it chews through batteries quite quickly.

This toy is quiet enough that you won't hear it from under a blanket, and definitely not from behind a closed door, making it great for those who are concerned about being overheard.

It is waterproof and does quite well in the water.

This is pretty easy to take care of. You can wash it with soap and water, or use a toy cleaner if you prefer. I like to use an old, soft-bristle toothbrush if there's any residue in the nooks and crannies, though using your fingers will work just as well.

You can store it in the package, or however you choose to store your toys. As it's plastic, it won't react with other toys, so you can add it to a bag or box that you keep other toys in if you wish. I put mine in a small, drawstring bag that came as an accessory to another toy that I have since thrown away.

You may use any lube you choose with Revitalize, as the hard plastic is compatible with water-based, silicone-based, and even oil-based lubes, or just straight coconut oil, as many ladies I know use.

The packaging is a simple black, paperboard box with a cutout to show the item packaged within, which is encased in a 2-piece, plastic clamshell-type deal. The packaging is rather discreet and ideal for gifting, if desired, as the box would be easy to wrap. There is a pale pink decorative band around the bottom, and the name "Revitalize" is in a pale pink script across the top. The box is black, and the writing is mostly white with some pale pink. The box contains adequate product and company information, including care instructions and battery requirements (1 AA).

The packaging markets Revitalize as a "personal massager" and recommends using it to "...pinpoint areas that hold tension such as your temples, scalp, between your brows, jaw muscles...", so it is not blatantly obvious that it's a sex toy, though most adults will infer that it is.

Both the paper and plastic sections of the package can be recycled.
