Traditional vibrator discontinued
by Shots media

Complicated, but a nice concept in theory.

If you are looking for a razor that can cut close or simply trim your pubic hair, this is a great idea. If you are seeking a toy to play with, look elsewhere! This toy has dull vibrations and should not be inserted. You should think hard about whether or not it is worth the price for your needs.

Use

I had a hard time believing this was intended to be a sex toy as well as a razor, but indeed it is. The Masturazor from Shots Media certainly is a unique and interesting idea, but in reality it is not very functional. In the top bulge, opposing the end with the side squiggle, there is a one speed bullet that should only be used on the clitoris. It could be used vaginally, but I do not think it would be wise considering the opposing end is a loose cover for a mini electric shaver. I feel the same way about using this anally, it would not be a wise choice in my opinion. Another reason this would not be a good idea for any kind of insertion is the fact that the white one speed bullet inside actually hangs 1/8" out. This could scratch or tear the vagina or anus easily, especially since this piece has a wiggly button on it.

The small size and ease of use make the razor portion the best use for this toy. Since it is so dainty and will not cut you, it makes shaving your intimate areas and steep curves easier. It does, however, take more time thank your normal day to day razor. It even comes with an attachment to "trim" instead of shave. The razor is splash proof, but is not waterproof and should never be submerged into water. The razor can be used on wet or dry skin.

Material / Texture

The outer shell is made completely of nonporous silicone. The texture of the outer shell is smooth and velvety, but also has quite a bit of drag to it. There is a seam that wraps around the entire toy. This singular line is more upraised than most, and if you choose to use this toy for masturbation purposes it will need a bit of extra attention. If you were hoping to use this for masturbation purposes, some lubrication will be required on this toy. Since it is silicone, I highly recommend using only water based lube. That is the only lubrication that is totally safe for silicone toys. The toy does not bend and is not squeezable at all.

The shave head itself is obviously metal, but the piece that holds the shave head and keeps it connected to the toy is none other than smooth plastic. The bullet inside the "head" is also made of plastic.

Design / Shape / Size

My review saying it's a razor and it's called the Masturazor. But you don't see the razor do you? It is actually hidden inside the silicone sheath. The bottom portion with the squiggle is just the electric razor's cover. The ring, or belt, that looks a bit out of place is what keeps the bottom portion connected to the top.

The design of this toy is pretty perfect for the idea. It does have a vibrating portion you can attempt masturbation with. It does have a razor that works fairly well. The squiggle on the side is fairly pointless and I have no clue why it was added except for adding to the odd look of the toy. It is a very pretty toy to look at and was designed with uniqueness is mind.

The specs of this toy are a bit confusing, so bare with me please. The length of it all put together is exactly 7 3/8". The top portion removed from the bottom piece with the razor included is 6 1/2", but only 5" of that is silicone. The bottom piece, not including the lock in piece is 2 1/2". The razor when removed is 4 3/4", but while inserted in it's home only 1 1/2" sticks out of the silicone. The razor head is 3/8" at it's widest, and the shaft that leads up to the razor head is 1/2" wide. The bulged head of this toy, the portion that contains the masturbation bullet is 1 1/4" wide.

Functions / Performance / Controls

There are 3 switches on this entire toy and one "belt". I will start with the first switch. At the head side of this toy, you will see a white lump that protrudes slightly. This little nub is your switch for the one speed bullet inside the bulbous tip. This one speed is a low/medium vibration that is remarkably buzzy and I would give it 2-3 bees for the noise it makes. It is louder than it is strong, in my opinion.

To get to the next 2 switches, you much remove the belt. The belt is a sound silicone ring that goes over the puzzle piece portion opposing the squiggle. This keeps the pieces locked together and, when used gently, keeps the razor side from opening while using the tip end for masturbation. This belt is easily slid upwards toward the bulbous tip with a bit of force.

After moving the belt out of your way, you can go ahead and pull the top and bottom "puzzle pieces" apart and your toy will then reveal the razor. Where the other piece interlocked with this toy you will see an on and off switch. This switch will not work until you turn it around and look for another switch. Closer to the razor than the other, this switch is directly below the razor head. Lift this switch and the black portion that your razor is connected to(the black razor portion) will slide right out. Insert the one AAA battery(which comes included) into the slot, positive side down and you are ready to rock. You can then replace the razor, lock it back into place, and turn the razor to the on position. The razor doesn't exactly "vibrate", the metal blades inside are doing their thing to remove your hair and that is where all the noise is coming from. This is about 3-4 bees loud.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning of this toy isn't the easiest. Eden's material safety page for silicone states only two ways to clean silicone toys. For silicone dildos boiling and putting it in the dishwasher are awesome and easy options, but since this toy has inner mechanisms for both the vibrating head and the razor, those are not options. Antibacterial soap and warm water or an antibacterial toy cleaner are much wiser options for this toy. I can also see a wipe down with the 10% bleach and 90% water solution working well. When cleaning after masturbation, pay close attention to the hole your bullet is in and the line where the toy was put together.

As for the razor, you can simple rinse it off with water after shaving. After cleaning and after wet shaving you should allow the metal razor air time to dry. Sheathing it when wet could rust your toy, ruin the insides of the sheath, or simply dull down your razor more quickly.

As for storage, you have many options. You can keep it in it's box or put, in your toy box, or store it in a drawer. Two things you don't want to do it store it with another silicone toy or leave it out. The silicone of this toy does collect dust, lint, and hair. Another option you have is investing in an Eden toy pouch. I personally am storing mine inside the original box until I have a chance to get a new Eden pouch.

Packaging

The packaging for this toy is a bit over the top. The box is black with silver and white writing. You're toy is visible through a plastic panel on the front and rear, but the rear panel can be opened and closed to view or hide the toy. It is a flip open and magnet seal rear piece and while closed, it tells you in many languages the basics of this toy. Including claims that the toy takes 2 AAA batteries to operate the razor. But it only comes with one battery and the razor only takes 1 AAA battery, so I'm guessing this is a typo. The rear panel tells you what you want to hear. Including "Vibrations are powered by a strong, quiet bullet motor", which is not nearly true. The sides of the box are labeled Masturazor and have the company logo.

Also included in this box are two booklets(each in four different languages), a bullet key(to remove the head bullet and replace, should you choose to do so), a razor guard(in case you just want to trim your fur), and a fingertip sized bristle brush.

Personal comments

I was super pleased with the razor portion and not at all pleased with the vibes of the bulbous head. The vibes were simply too dull for me to enjoy. The razor, however, cut through my pubic fuzz with ease. Only sometimes getting caught on a hair and stopping until that stubborn hair that won't cut is removed from the blade.
Follow-up commentary
I use this Masturazor frequently, though not for masturbation. I use it to shave off the hairs I miss when shaving my legs or other body parts. It comes in really handy when you have showered, shaved, got all ready for the day, and then notice that patch of hair you missed when shaving. That is why I have grown to like this item more.

What it is not good for is masturbation. I get what the creator of this toy was going for, but the vibration portion is pretty useless. The vibrations are very weak and while large enough to penetrate you, the removable vibrating bullet has a jagged button that stick out the side.

Great review, I can see how it would be handy for touch-ups, but not as a great toy!
