Cupid Ripples aka Cupid's Cheese Grater

The only saving grace for this toy is that it performs as a decent clitoral vibrator. It is not glaringly loud and has a few patterns. Every anatomy is different — vaginal penetration with this toy could be pleasurable for you. If you plan on doing some thrusting with this toy, I would suggest some warm-up and lots of lubricant to lessen the scraping sensation.

extremely useful review
The toy came in a pink/black/white swirled cardboard container. The vibrator could be seen through a cut out in the front. On the back of the box, two magnets held a flap closed. When opened it listed the multiple vibration patterns and general size, material, and warning information.

This toy runs on two double ‘A’ batteries. The battery compartment can be found by twisting the white squiggly rounded end. Remove the batteries after use to prevent cavity decay and to avoid accidental turn on.

The TPR silicone material makes this toy plush. The tip is squish-able. The internal components of this toy make it so the toy cannot be bent. In other words this toy is very rigid along the shaft and has little to no give. The toy has a matte finish with drag when running your fingers over it. The handle portion also has TPR silicone on it, giving it a good gripping surface. TPR silicone is porous so if you plan on sharing this toy use a different condom for each person. There is no flared base on this toy so I do not recommend this for anal use.

The material picks up pet hair and lint very easily when it comes into contact with fabric. To clean the toy use a mild soap and warm water. Toy wipes and universal toy cleaner may also be used. When cleaning make sure to really scrub in-between the ridges where lubricant and body fluids tend to collect.

To start the vibrations you press down on a button located on the bottom of the toy. This same button, when pressed, will go through your standard 3 speeds: low, medium, and high. After the three speed settings there are three different vibration patterns: pulsating, escalating, and roller-coaster. After cycling through all the patterns the vibrator will turn off. The vibrations were weak and buzzy.
Experience
I have tried to use this toy many times now without much success. When I first got my hands on this toy I was excited. I had never played with a rippled toy before. Being a fan of waves, bumps, and nubs, I had high hopes.

At first I used it as a clitoral vibrator: the ridges would scrap against the clitoris. I found this very pleasurable and was able to achieve an orgasm.

Now I was really excited to see what it would feel like in my vagina. I applied some water-based lubricant to the toy and went for it. The first bulge of the toy was smooth and felt nice… and then I hit the ridges.

My mind immediately thought of a cheese grater.

It hurt like hell. I tried to pull out and that felt like sandpaper, so I stopped. After removing the toy I set it aside to get a cup of water. I came back and decided that it was probably me, not the toy. So I watched some porn and stretched out some more. I applied more lubricant and tried to penetrate myself again.

I was looser so the first set of bulge ridges went in slightly easier than the last attempt. So I went in a little deeper… wham! Grated again! I tried to pull the toy out but the pain was twice as worse as before. Determined to end the pain, I went for it like a band aid and pulled the mofo out.

What went wrong? I usually love textured toys.

I am sorry Cupid but it’s not you, it’s me.
