Curves in all the Right Places

The Delight is genuinely a delight to use. It provides a softer, gentler, vibrating alternative to the Njoy's steel Pure Wand with the same natural fit to the g-spot. It's effective, it's easy to use, and the absence of batteries makes the Delight remarkably convenient (without skimping on the power) - one of those rare situations where the name perfectly describes the toy.

Use

Fun Factory's Delight Click n' Charge is a silicone and plastic vibrator designed for g-spot stimulation. As such, it's best suited for women and couples interested in g-spot stimulation. Its discreet size and rechargeable batteries make it suitable for travel as well as use at home.

Material / Texture

The insertable end of the Delight is made entirely from silicone. Its texture is smooth and it is both odorless and tasteless. The softness of the silicone allows for some flexibility in the shaft. The flexibility is most evident in use. There is enough give to make insertion very comfortable. At the same time, there is enough firmness to sustain direct pressure on the g-spot while in use.

The handle and control panel are made from a rigid plastic. This plastic is stiff and entirely non-flexible.

The smoothness of the design, softness of the curves, and reasonable girth of the shaft make the Delight suitable for both beginners and more advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

The Delight's lopsided S shape is designed to allow easy access to the handle while providing firm g-spot stimulation. When inserted, the tip of the silicone portion of the shaft rests against the g-spot. The curved handle rests on the pubic bone. That sort of positioning permits users to apply solid pressure to the g-spot without having to engage in the sorts of contortions that straight g-spot stimulators often require.

The looped handle provides a good array of grip options. You can slide in a finger or two for light pressure. You can rest the palm of your hand against the control panel for firmer pressure. With either option, the design makes quick or slow pulsations easy and (very!) pleasurable.

I've always been suspicious of toys that claim to hit the g-spot simply. Either they miss the mark entirely or they only hit the g-spot if you can somehow prop your pelvis up at such a contorted angle that the toy does actually reach the g-spot, but by the time it does you could care less about your orgasm. Toys that require extensive yoga as a prerequisite for use just aren't my thing.

The Delight... well... delighted me. It was a pleasant surprise to find a g-spot toy that does what it claims to do: easily reaches and provides pressure on the g-spot.

The shaft is a moderate width, making the Delight accessible to beginners or those who prefer a smaller girth. Because all of the action is concentrated at the tip of the toy - as is only appropriate given it is a g-spot stimulator - width becomes a secondary source of stimulation.

While there is absolutely no doubt when looking at it that the Delight is a sex toy, it is travel friendly. The rechargeable internal battery means that there are no concerns about having an extra supply on hand. The plastic and silicone materials mean that it doesn't pick up lint when stored.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I'm functionally illiterate when it comes to any sort of technology that requires more than me plugging something in. Luckily, the Delight required little more than that with its charging feature. There are two nodes on the side of the shaft that connect to two nodes on the charger. Plug the charger in, connect the nodes on the charger to the nodes on the shaft, and that's it. A little light glows red on the charger to let you know that the Delight is connected properly.

The greatest thing about the charger is that the connection is magnetic - those of you who have an Apple laptop will appreciate the greatness of magnetic charger connections. You can trip over the wire (I did), you can drop it from the table you're charging it on (I did), and you can not be paying attention when picking it up (I did) and no damage will result from the charger being ripped from the toy.

It's also impossible to incorrectly charge the toy. Because the magnets have two different poles, the charger will not connect to the shaft unless the nodes are aligned properly. If the charger is plugged in and there's a magnetic connection between the charger and the shaft, you've done it correctly.

There are eight different vibration intensities to the Delight. There are no patterns or rhythms to the vibrations - they simply increase in intensity. Pushing the + sign turns the vibrations on and increases their intensity. Pushing the - sign lowers the vibrations' intensity and eventually turns the toy off.

Because of the angle of the handle, it is easy to adjust the vibrations after the Delight has been inserted. They do require a firm push, however, so there is little concern about accidentally cranking up the intensity or turning it off unintentionally during use.

The toy is splashproof and should not be used submerged within water. Rebel that I am, I did dunk it a few times with no ill effects.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance is no more or less labor intensive than any other silicone/plastic toy. Because it is splashproof, it can be cleaned with soap and water. You can also use toy cleaner. The Delight's materials are also durable enough to not require any special storage.

The only thing to be aware of is to not use silicone lubricants with the Delight. Silicone lubricants on silicone toys can result in melting and all sorts of other bad things (just short of Armageddon, so I've heard). Protect your investment and give your Delight the long and happy life it deserves by sticking with water-based lubricants.
