Decadent indeed, best rabbit vibe around!

This is the toy for any woman. Period. It is filling enough for satisfaction, yet slim enough for beginners. It ranges between gentle, sweet vibrations and teeth-rattling power. It is the best, most trustworthy rabbit vibe I have ever had the pleasure of owning.

Use

Rabbit vibrators are both the most ingenious thing to have ever been created and the most insanely frustrating objects most anyone with a clitoris has ever encountered. There are so many variables that go into whether or not a rabbit vibe may or may not be useful and it all comes down to terms of anatomy and personal preference. Ultimately, you never quite know what you're going to get when you purchase a dual stimulation vibrator, but you always hope for the best, right?

The Decadent Indulgence 3 was the first expensive vibe I ever invested in and it is probably the only vibrator I have ever owned that I would recommend to any woman that is unopposed to penetrative toys. It looks intimidating, especially just reading the specs, but it is one of the most blissfully adaptable toys I have ever encountered.

The shaft, with its non-jamming beads, spins the realistically molded jelly head at a variety of speeds for superb vaginal stimulation while the elephant clitoral stimulator is unexpectedly effective at stimulating both clitoris and labia (more details on that later). It's not waterproof, so you can't use it everywhere, but it is a wonderful addition to any bedroom collection.

While the Decadent Indulgence CAN be used with a partner, my impression of rabbit vibes is that they are rather exclusively for solo play. But many of you may be far more trusting than I.

Material / Texture

The Decadent Indulgence 3 is made of TPR/TPE, which is a soft, rubbery material. It's far more porous than silicone and cannot withstand the high temperatures that silicone can. Because the toy is also not waterproof, you cannot and should not boil or otherwise subject the vibe to rough sanitation methods.

Warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner are more than sufficient at keeping it clean. If you share your vibes, I would definitely advise the use of condoms. Additionally, I would strongly recommend the use of a water-based lubricant, as the porous material has a tendency to absorb natural vaginal lubrication.

As far as textures go, the shaft had realistic details of raised but smooth veins as well as a realistic head. This is apparently a turn-off to many, but I personally love realistic vibes. The soft material made it so that the head slipped easily in and out without any bumping, scraping, other otherwise uncomfortable impact with any of my lady bits.

One more observation I did have is that after some extended use (a month or more) the material of the head started to become cloudy. I will admit that this may have been due to a failure on my part to clean the toy properly, as it was one of my first vibes and I was not very smart about toy care in my youth. Even so, it is worth note that discoloration and a dullness of clarity can be expected.

Design / Shape / Size

The initial stats of the DI3 can be daunting to a beginner or even someone with just a bit of experience looking to expand their collection. I find that breaking down the statistics of the DI3 is the best way to make it not scary.

The overall length of the vibe is 10" long, but what you need to keep in mind is that about 4.5" of that is controls/handle and base. Insertable length is more around the 5.5" range, give or take about half an inch depending on whether or not you like to thrust it in deep or keep things a little more shallow. I myself drift between the two, but usually only insert it about 4" for typical penetration and then when I turn things up a notch, I still have another inch and a half to thrust deeper.

The shaft and head have a diameter of just over 1" (listed on the product page as 1 3/8"), making it a good thickness for beginners. I found that the rotating beads pucker the size of the shaft a little, but not enough to make a notable difference in regards to ease of insertion.

Finally, the clitoral stimulator is shaped like, essentially, Dumbo. I won't lie, I typically HATE rabbit vibes that have animal stimulators. They creep me out bad. Dumbo, however, has become my vulva's bestest friend in the whole wide world! The reason for this is that the bullet that lives within Dumbo's TPR body is up high enough that it's easily moved. The TPR has more than enough give to customize the position of the elephant on your clit but is firm enough to keep it where you put it even during thrusting penetration.

The elephants real charm, at least to me, is its ears. It has large, thin ears that fold in towards its body that I at first thought were completely superfluous. Oh, silly me! The ears are the perfect length and shape to extend vibration and stimulation to labia and clit. The TPR is gentle enough that the vibrations are not a harsh jostling of sensitive tissue but firm enough that it's more than an annoying, teasing buzz of sensation.

The shaft I can take or leave, it's pretty basic, but Dumbo alone makes this vibe worth the price in my honest opinion.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The DI3 sports an impressive 10 speeds of vibration, 10 speeds of rotation and 5 patterns of pulsation and escalation. California Exotics claims this gives the vibe more than 300 potential combinations of pleasure. I'm not inclined to do the math to verify that, but I'll believe them just the same. Even if it is more like 50 rather than 300, there is more than likely a setting that is just right for you and your vagina.

All of the controls are located at the handle of the toy and are in the form of buttons. I know a lot of people don't like buttons, but I found the setup to be more than satisfactory. The button panel never required too much pressure to switch between settings and was never so sensitive that a simple brush of a thumb would kick the vibe into an uncomfortable or unexpected gear. Additionally, each setting (vibration, rotation, patterns) had both an up and a down button, making it easy to revert back to the previous setting if you didn't like the next one up. (As opposed to having to cycle through a billion settings to get back to where you were, like many vibes.)

The face of the control provides bars that light up to give you a visual representation of what levels you're on. Admittedly with it inserted into your vagina you're not likely to be able to see. Whenever I get a new vibe, however, I play with it first before giving it a serious test drive. I find that the light up effect is nice but is really just an effect. You can tell by sensation and feeling what levels you're on and what combinations you enjoy.

I will concede, however, that working through all of the combinations can be an exercise in patience. Personally, I enjoy the discovery process, finding out where a toy can take me (if anywhere). However, if you're a very plug-and-play sort of gal that just wants to jump right in and revel in simplicity then the DI3 might not be to your liking.

Additionally, if you travel a lot it's not going to be your friend either. Due to the porous nature of the TPR, it'd likely collect lint and dust and nasties like nothing else and if you spend a lot of time in hotels, on planes, or otherwise in areas packed with mystery dirt that can filter its way into your baggage you're better off taking along something safer like silicone. The DI3 is also not discreet at all, as it is essentially a bright pink penis was a little elephant hugging the base.

The DI3 runs on 4 AA batteries, which is sort of a pill, but I was impressed that it was not a battery hog. I tend to use toys for extended periods of time (upwards of 20-30 minutes) and have an issue with things either overheating or dying too soon. The DI3 has never done either, and it is the ONLY vibe I have ever had that I can say that about. I still haven't gotten around to investing in rechargeable batteries, but even without them I don't find myself constantly having to go out to buy a 20 pack of Duracels.

It's not a quiet vibe by any stretch of the imagination, but it's not the obvious buzz of a massage vibrator either. The majority of the toys sound can be drowned out and is muffled upon insertion and used under blankets, with a little bit of music is even less noticeable. Even so, it would not be recommended to anyone that has to share a room.

Lastly, and probably most important in regards to performance, this is probably the single most impressive vibrator I have ever owned. I know a lot of people claim to have that "Clit of Steel", but even those ladies have been rather shocked by my lack of enthusiasm about most "powerhouse" vibes. I have no defense, all I can really tell people is that everyone's vagina is different. The DI3, however, harnesses remarkable power in both the shaft and (more importantly) the clitoral stimulator. I said it before, but again: worth every penny.
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Not discreet at all
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning and care of the DI3 is sort of annoying. The semi-porous nature of the material makes it more prone to collecting bacteria and lint, so it requires more attention than, say, glass or silicone. Because it isn't waterproof, either, you have to be careful not to get the battery compartment moist in any fashion.

Warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner are usually more than sufficient, but I would strongly caution any owner to be sure to pay attention to the space between Dumbo and the shaft. Actually, the little elephant in its entirety should get special attention, as it has various nooks and folds where moisture and/or harmful bacteria can hide and grow.

I mentioned before that using lubricant is likely a good idea with this vibe, so if you are going to indulge be sure to use either a water or silicone based lubricant that is safe with TPR.

Storing the vibe is a little more tricky. The first one I had, I kept wrapped in a soft, clean towel and kept it in a drawer out of the light. This was all fine and good, but I did have to clean it quite frequently before and after use. For most TPR/Jelly/Porous toys, I would personally recommend a 1 gallon zip-lock bag that is dry on the inside. It can prevent the material from drying out and also prevents lint and the like from adhering to the vibe.
    • High maintenance

Packaging

The DI3 came in a large, simple box that is characteristic of most Cal Exotic toys. There wasn't anything very impressive about it, nothing really lackluster. The simplicity of the cardboard box doesn't really lend itself to a romantic or fancy gift, in my opinion, nor did the internal packaging serve as exceptionally helpful in storing the vibe.
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

Typically, I am unimpressed by dual stimulation vibrators. More often than not my complaint is solely based on the lack of firmness or power of the clitoral appendage. The DI3 was the first rabbit vibe I ever owned and it is the ONLY rabbit vibe I have ever and would ever replace without hesitation. It comes with a hefty price tag and it is a little high maintenance, but I look at it as the price you pay when you're in love.

Experience

My loyalty to this product can be explained in two simple words:

Multiple Orgasms.

When I first got it I was so excited to try it out and was beyond blown away. I have never orgasmed so fast with anything in my life and then to top it all off? The first orgasm I had was so powerful that I couldn't control my hands enough to turn it off before the darn thing went on to push me through to another one. It was a shock to the senses and one of the most amazing and intense things I have ever felt.

It may be too much for some, but for those of you who struggle to get even that first orgasm going? I strongly encourage you to try the Decadent Indulgence 3.
