Decadent indulgence review by California Exotic

The original Decadent Indulgence is one of my favorite vibrators by far! It was the first rabbit vibe that truly made me go “Wow!” and left me a quivering heap of spent flesh…

It is, first of all, a very pretty toy, featuring a delicate frosted pinkish purple color and realistic hummingbird clitoral stimulator. Also, unlike many sex toys, it is pleasantly scented with a cherry/perfumey like scent that I find very pleasing.

The Decadent Indulgence is just the right girth for me, medium in width with a tapered head that has a nicely flared base. The rather narrow tapering of the tip of the head makes insertion a breeze. The toy features a smooth shaft with rotating, tracked, prominent metal beads that are located at the ideal position to provide excellent internal sensations for me. The arc of rotation is fairly narrow and concentrated toward the tip, which provides excellent pinpointed internal stimulation.

The hummingbird clitoral stimulator is a true powerhouse, and is quite intense, even at its lowest setting. This may be a turn-off for some people, but it’s absolutely perfect for me. The clit stimulator is positioned in just the right place to hit all the right spots. The wings are large and provide great labial coverage and stimulation, and the elongated beak works wonders on one’s clit.

The Decadent Indulgence runs on 4 AA batteries, which pack quite a wallop, even when both stimulators are running at the same time. The toy is somewhat noisy, but not distractingly so. I did have some minor difficulties with the shaft rotations slowing down when I clenched tightly internally, but it never actually stopped rotating. The controls are on the battery pack at the base, and feature increasing and decreasing speed controls for both stimulators and a 5th button to cycle through the different functions. Be warned—this vibe does not have a wide range of functions, just reversal of shaft rotation and speed, and three different patterns for the hummingbird. Honestly, though, I really don’t think this vibe needs the extra patterns. I personally just set it on “full speed ahead” and enjoy the ride!

My only complaint about the Decadent Indulgence is that it is made of jelly; I would LOVE to see one of the Decadent Indulgence series vibes come out in silicone.

I would highly recommend the original Decadent Indulgence vibe to anyone looking to make a small investment in a high-quality and remarkably effective vibe. It may not have as many patterns and features as some of the newer rabbit vibrators, but honestly, it doesn’t need them. This is a solidly-constructed, very feminine, very effective vibe as is, and is definitely one of my personal favorites.

Almost 3 years, and still going strong, despite very heavy use! This remains my all-time FAVORITE cordless rabbit vibe (the original Rabbit Pearl, with a corded controller, is the only one I think performs as well). It's still lovely to look at, pleasantly scented (after all this time!), and does the job like few other vibes can. I heartily recommend this vibe to anyone who asks (and some who don't!), even over its newer incarnations, and I don't see that changing any time in the near future! Treat yourself!
