I was really excited to get the Twisted Hearts Seduction Vibe. I had expected to be able to use it as a jack of all trades sort of vibrator. It is meant to do a whole lot. It can go with you into the shower, be used as a clit vibe, be used vaginally, or used to massage other body parts. There are protruding "petals" meant to add extra stimulation. There are even three speeds to do all these things at various intensity levels. Unfortunately, the reality was not quite the same as my expectations.

The two things it does work well as are a clit vibe and a wet-environment toy. There is something to be said about a toy you can play with in the bedroom and move to the shower with. It always adds some fun to any experience, especially with a partner as it means infinitely more things try. As a clit vibe, it does the job. Since there are three speeds of varying intensities it should be able to bring most to orgasm.

This is also an okay toy to use to give a massage or stimulate other areas of the body like the nipples or another sensitive area.

The major let down here was that not only is there no way I can use this for penetration, but also the vibrations aren't strong enough to do much else either. This surprised me since I have always equated a really loud toy with a really powerful one; but this is simply not the case here. To tackle this first issue, the top of the vibe has a huge bulb and the extruding petals add to its circumference. This means that it isn't something for beginners or those who don't like large toys should try using for vaginal penetration. Even with lube, it wasn't even close to small enough to work with my body. I'll address the speed/intensity issues in another section, so keep on reading!

DO NOT use this toy for anal insertion. Since there is no flange, if you were to be able to get it in your anus, you might lose it! I don't think that is a situation any of us want to be finding ourselves in.

This vibe is made of TPR which is thermoplastic rubber polymer. This material is known for being able to create interesting textures on toys. On the Twisted Harts Seduction it feels like there is a hard rubber on top of something hard. I didn't find the texture particularly great, but this may be due to my personal preferences for more solid toys.

Since the petals of this product jut away from the solid base, these parts have more give to them. When you pinch them they feel more squishy than solid.

Since it is made of TPR, it is compatible with both water and silicone lubes, which makes it very versatile. However, this material is semi-porous so you should use a condom with it if you are using it with multiple people/partners.

As for the smell, it did come out of the box smelling like something I could not place. This smell has dissipated over time, but if you put your nose to the vibe it is still there.

It also has a distinct taste to it that is very unpleasant. I don't recommend putting this in your mouth. Luckily, since I was not planning on using it that way anyways, this is not a major flaw in me.

I really enjoy the look of this the Twisted Hearts. The whole design idea is pretty clever. It is meant to look like two halves of a heart twisted onto each other, as you can see here:



I give Doc Johnson major points for their whimsical design scheme. It is without a doubt out of the ordinary. The colors available also compliment the heart theme with a light purple and deep pink and red. The twist dial to turn it on also has a cute design on it.

This is typically a good length for a toy, but if you can't insert it not altogether necessary. Since the strongest vibrations are at the top the bottom is just a handle when using it for clit or all over stimulation.

The circumference is just right to wrap my hand around comfortably, which is also appreciated for long play sessions.

By far the biggest let down of this product is its weak vibrations. It just doesn't do it for me. Despite the three speeds, none seem as powerful as the lowest speed on my trusty Evolved Waterproof Delight (my old stand by). Since the TPR coating on the outside seems to be simply a cover on whatever is actually vibrating, I assume the sensations are somewhat muffled by it.

I also had problems with the batteries. This vibe takes two triple A's. Although the box does clearly state this, there are no actual directions for how to get them in and turn the thing on. This took me about 15 minutes to figure out on my own. Turns out you have to open the bottom put in one battery facing one way the other the opposite (it isn't labeled which goes where you so you have to keep trying until you get it right), and then close it and twist the top until it turns on. I am happy to report that this is indeed water proof. I dunked it into the bath tub and it is still working without an issue! Bringing it into the bath also seems to muffle out the incredibly loud noises it makes which is a major plus!

Speaking of the noises; let us really discuss them. They are loud. This is not something I would recommend anyone who doesn't want everyone else in the house to know what they're doing to use. I left mine on and walked out of the room and I could hear if three rooms away, (which you puts you in the hallway outside of the main door mind you). This is by no means discreet!

Since it is made of of TPR, this should be cleaned after each use with soap and water (unless you're putting a condom over it every time). Since it is semi-porous it may hold bacteria that can cause an infection, so it is very important to clean it! However, don't try to boil it!

The TPR tends to pick up random hairs, lint, and other extras around my toy drawer, so it is best stored in a case or box that will keep it clean.

Again, since it is made of TPR it may be used with silicone or water based lubricants.

This is what you will receive your product in. Inside the box are no instructions, which I think was a mistake. There isn't much to it. Inside is just a plastic throw-away holder keeping the toy in place so you could see it through the packaging.

I personally don't enjoy low-powered vibes, so it was hard for me to overcome this bias when reviewing this product. Since I've got three roommates, its also almost impossible to use this with frequency. It is so loud that it can be heard three rooms away, (and possibly upstairs).
