Chandra - vibrator by Emotional Bliss - review by honeeB

The Chandra is the first finger vibrator I've purchased for myself as well as my first product by Emotional Bliss. I adore the shape, color and the smoothness it offers when coming in contact with my body, especially with a little lubricant. Though the Chandra is small, yet it is surprisingly powerful (considering its size). I initially wondered how strong the vibrations would be and if I would be able to climax due the single speed control but that was definitely not a problem with this mighty little vibe.

I have used this little beauty on my clitoris and nipples and it heightens the enjoyment when engaging with my partner.

Note: The Chandra is a clitoral stimulator, meaning that it is meant to be used on the exterior of your body - clitoris, nipples, etc. - in a dry environment. This toy is NOT waterproof and submerging it in water, lube or other fluids could damage its use and would void the warranty.

The Chandra is smooth to the touch. Made of a hard, non-porous medical grade TPE plastic, with a softer plastic on the vibrating tip, it is almost as soft as some of my other silicone toys. It has no smell whatsoever and without the finger cuff, fits into the palm of my hand and remains completely concealed with my hand closed.

The vibrating tip is ridged, giving you an added stimulatory sensation if rotated around your clitoris or nipple. Aside from the ridges, there is a larger contour between the vibrating tip and the finger clips (more of a cuff, really) along with an embossed version of Emotional Bliss' logo. There is a large seam that bands around the plug for the adapter that I could surely live without. This seam that isn't the greatest when using lube. It can collect unwanted debris and you can't REALLY clean it because that's where the electrical outlet plugs into.

The Chandra is constructed of a light blue (more familiarly baby blue) plastic on the vibrating tip and on the power button. The power button is the push-button type, is soft and pliable but the tip is reinforced with a harder white plastic that encases the entire toy. The finger cuff is made from this same, standard grade white plastic.

The overall size of the Chandra is good. It is small enough to take just about anywhere. You can slip it in a clutch or suitcase or toss it in your pocket for a few minutes of fun wherever you go.

I do have somewhat of a wish list for the Chandra. I would love for either the charger or the LED on the Chandra to blink so that I know that it is charging and to remain solid when it is completed. When you initially open the box, you are to charge the Chandra for 12 hours. I just let mine charge overnight and prayed that was a good amount of time to get cracking with my new toy. To my delight, it was. But after that first charge, you just have to let it either stay on the charger until use or just immediately put it back on the charger after use to ensure that it is ready at that precise moment when you're ready.

To me, there is nothing more frustrating than being fired up and your toy fading out. It seems like the vibrations are only intense for about 10 minutes, then mildly for the next 10 (if you're lucky) and then it's on its way to needing a good recharge. If used in smaller increments or with other toys, that probably wouldn't matter as much but if this is all that you plan on using at any one given time or if you require a little more to get to climax, then I would think again about purchasing this toy.

The single speed setting can be annoying at times but it is more than intense enough to get you where you need to go. I have never been one for the pulsating modes on vibrating toys so this setting is strong and consistent enough to do the job.

Like most other toys, it should be cleaned before and after use. It did not come with any pouches or silky, satiny bags to store the Chandra in so I keep mine in a "toy" with all my other playmates when it is not being charged.

Again, due to the seam that bands the Chandra, be very careful when cleaning. You do NOT want any liquids to get into that plug insertion area because it will most likely short-circuit. Cleaning the vibrating tip is easy, just apply anti-bacterial soap and hot water, toy cleaner or it can easily be wiped down with isopropyl alcohol.

This is the depressing part. I purchased my Chandra based on another review (which most of us do, right?) and the review stated that you get a pretty box and a silicone as well as a water-based lube. No such luck. My Chandra arrived in a generic cardboard box, in small plastic pouches that held the finger cuffs, the adapter, the Chandra itself and a manual.

I passed on purchased any lube (I was out) because it came with its own. Much to my surprise, I had to place another order ( in addition with another toy of course ;) to get that much needed lube I was expecting on the first shipment.

Other than that, everything was in order. I did made an attempt to return the toy and I was given a return authorization but decided against it since my lube arrived a few days later.

I most always require clitoral stimulation when alone or with my partner so the Chandra comes in handy for both occasions. I did however find it more exciting when using a dildo. The vaginal and clitoral penetrations simulate sex and made climax quicker and more intense.

I really don't have any horrible things to say. It's rechargeable so it's not like I'm throwing out batteries every few days or few uses (you choose). It doesn't really look like a sex toy so if someone saw it, they would most likely ask what it is but wouldn't be put off but its aesthetics.
