Beautiful design, but...

The Delight touts an innovative design, a good amount of vibration, and it's rechargeable... but don't count on it for strong clit stimulation.
Published:
Pros
Quiet, re-chargeable, comes with a case, hooks into the vagina
Cons
Not enough clit stimulation, case doesn't lock closed

I feel like I have been waiting a zillion years to get my hands on the Delight. The moment I saw it, I fell hopelessly in love. Those sleek curves, the delicious plastic and silicone design, the case it recharges in... everything seemed ridiculously perfect. And ridiculously out of my college-student price range. So I was ecstatic when I learned that I would be reviewing the Delight.

As always with Fun Factory, the Delight|G-spot vibrators: Delight by Fun Factory came packaged in a stylish box with ample instructions (in five languages) and a packet of lube. The charging case for the Delight is shiny, small, and not very heavy, even with the vibrator in it. However, the case only stays closed with magnets, so I wouldn't rely on it to stay closed during travel. The cord, which can be unplugged from the case if need be, is over 4 feet long. The instruction manual says that the vibrator works for 90 minutes on a charge (which takes about 3 hours), and I found that to be impressively accurate.

The design of the Delight is quite innovative. The dark purple plastic alongside the blue silicone is beautiful, and the plastic is easy to grip. Unlike straight vibrators/dildos, which require you to reach all the way down to the end of the toy and thrust from there, the Delight is much more user friendly; your hand rests comfortably above the area you're stimulating. The plus and minus signs light up red, so even in the dark you can find the buttons.

I'm satisfied with the vibration settings—eight constant and three escalation—although I've felt stronger vibrations in plastic toys. The Delight is very quiet as well. When used as a clit stimulator, the bulbous head of the Delight distributes vibration all around and on the clit. When used for penetration, the Delight really hooks up inside the vagina, stays in place even if you let go of it, and makes for a nice, full feeling.

My main problem with this vibrator is with "the nub." Inside the box, a diagram of the vibrator explains: "an extra protrusion stimulates clitoris." Now, if this promise had not been made to me, I would not have been disappointed. But when a toy promises me clit stimulation, I want it!

It truly saddens me to put forth this accusation, but does Fun Factory have a clue where the clitoris is located? Sally Seal seemed to think my clit was higher than it is, and now the Delight thinks my clit is somewhere inside (or barely outside of) my vagina. The silicone on the curl of the shaft rested against my clit instead. Vibration was there, sure, but not the strong kind that I really needed.

So I decided to rearrange the Delight in order to use another toy on my clit. I had to awkwardly rest the top of the Delight against my thigh, making it nearly impossible to thrust with it. I would also venture to guess that it would be difficult to stimulate the G-spot|G-Spot 101 Guide from that angle. Unfortunately, this is the angle I'm going to be forced to use whenever I pick up the Delight.

I've given this toy four stars because I think some people could be satisfied with the vibration that does hit the clit. But I am still so, so sad that that vibration isn't enough for me.

"However, the case only stays closed with magnets, so I wouldn't rely on it to stay closed during travel."

Epiphora, I can tell you that the case stays closed during travel. I took it on vacation with me and the vibrator stayed right where it should for two flights with luggage transfer.

Also, about the nub; for it to go CLOSE to where it should, you only insert the vibe a little bit. It's the one flaw with this toy!

I'm glad it stayed closed! I was able to pull it open fairly easily, so that's why I assumed that.

I swear, I tried everything to try and get the nub to hit my clit. It was my goal in life, but it was impossible.

I know! I inserted the toy over 2 dozen different ways and no matter what I did I couldn't get the bump directly lined up with my bump.

Have you tried using the toy for external use, having the tip of the insertable hook as a clitoral vibrator? It's amazzzzzing.

    Yup, it's nice!

Well-written and very entertaining review!  I want one of these, for the look alone!

It's too bad it didn't hit your "bump" right.  I'm going to cross my fingers and toes that it lines up with mine correctly!

    Have you tried the Rabbits?

the colour and shape of this are enough to make me NEED this toy!

The lack of clit vibration is my main concern with this toy. I really want to try it but I can see that the bumb intended for the clit would do nothing more than to stimulate my vaginal opening. The insertable end is surprisingly powerful though and would do well for my clit :)

Ice Ice Baby: yep, you're absolutely right. It's a very oddly-placed nub. If you want to use the insertable end for clit stim though, I think you'll really enjoy it.

This toy is so pretty, but I'm terrified of buying it in case it doesn't fit my body. =(

I am convinced that the "bump" is not intended to hit the clitoris, but to stimulate the vaginal opening. I know everyone's body is different, but seriously I have no idea how anyone could make that thing hit the right spot. We're not THAT different are we?? X-D They should redesign it with some flaps or something above the bump like on the Off with Your Head attachment for the Hitachi.

Nice review, sorry the clit 'nub' didn't work out for you, but this sounds like a really nice toy otherwise!
