Delight - g-spot vibrator by Fun Factory - review by Miss Madeline

When I was in the store looking for a new vibrator, I knew exactly what I was looking for: vibrations that will rattle my socks off, battery-operated, and a toy that could be shared among friends. So when I saw this toy and the salesperson told me that it rivaled the Hitachi, I was sold!

I took it home and immediately jumped in bed. Abuzz with that new toy giddiness, I ripped into the packaging and threw the directions aside. "It's a vibrator, not a new car! How hard could it be?" I thought to myself. I took this shining new, non-porous Delight into my hands and held it.

And held it.

And held it.

Trying to figure out just how to use the new toy, I scrambled for the directions. Okay, so the bottom of the S shape gets inserted and the bump should rest on my clitoris. Only, that's not quite what happened. I can line up the clitoral stimulating bump with my clit, but the G-spot stimulator comes nowhere near to my G-spot. So I tried flexing it. No such luck. I tried just using it on my G-spot. Somehow, that just wasn't going to do the trick.

My enthusiasm only dampened slightly, I decided to go with clitoral stimulation and figure out how to work out the rest of the toy later. The controls are easy to access and the vibrations feel amazing, but the idea that I wasn't using the toy the way it was intended still bothers me.

There are lots of things to love about this toy. The stylish carry case that says "Love Yourself" upon opening and the rechargeable battery still give me that "feel good" tingle. The powerful vibrations come in handy for when I am riding my partner and need a little extra oomph. It's silicone and non-porous, so I can share it with partners.

For me, though, it has never quite been as "delightful" as I initially hoped it would be. The S shape is hard to clean if you are a well-lubricated kind of girl. If you like deep penetration or don't have a G-spot that lines up with this design, then you are only getting so much out of this toy.

It's hard for me to justify spending this amount of money for a toy that doesn't really meet all my needs and only does for me what a bullet vibe would.

It's fairly untextured, except the bump for clitoral stimulation. There is no discernible smell or taste.

The shape makes it a little unwieldy, in my opinion, and hard to clean if you are a squirty kind of girl. Because it is inflexible, it can't bend to reach your G-spot if it isn't in a "standard" location. This inflexibility is also what makes it difficult to hold. Apparently, you are supposed to loop your fingers through the smaller curl at the top, but that didn't work all too well for me.

There are great variations in pattern and speed of vibrations. The controls are located at the roundest part of the S shape and, though I didn't find that a convenient location, I can't see where might be a better place. I'm not sure whether or not it is waterproof; but, with a lithium ion battery, I don't believe it is.

I used a water-based lube with this silicone toy, to much satisfaction. The vibrations were really aided by the use of lube. The storage case for this toy is really discreet and lovely, though a bit bulky. This toy is difficult to use in conjunction with another toy.

The toy is packaged in a box with a clear plastic window, through which you can view the toy. The case and charger are tucked neatly behind the packaging. Instructions were included, but I didn't find them very helpful. I loved the sample lube that came with the toy.
