Delighted with Delight

After many failed attempts with other G-spot vibrators, the Delight finally regained my faith in the G-spot orgasm. While its candy-cane-like curve might not suit everyone, it works perfectly for my anatomy, and many positive reviews suggests it works for a lot of other women too. It’s powerful, rechargeable, and hits the right spot easily every time.

extremely useful review
The Fun Factory Delight can be used during solo masturbation or foreplay. The hook makes it especially ideal for hands-free fun as it locks into place quite securely. It’s only splash proof, not waterproof, so using it in the bath is out of the question, but it might be okay to take into the shower if used cautiously - personally I'm not willing to take that risk.

The Delight is a G-spot vibrator, but it can provide dual stimulation as the vibrations carry right through the handle which can be pressed against the labia. There’s also a bump right in the middle of the curve which is designed for clitoral stimulation.

Delight has a length of 6 inches and a width of 3.5 inches with an insertable length of 4.5 inches. The thickest part of the toy has a girth of 4.5 inches while the slimmest part of the shaft is 3 inches.

It has eight vibration speeds and three pulse patterns. The controls are very easy to navigate as there are only two buttons - a plus and a minus button - so this would be suitable for beginners. The buttons are conveniently placed, so you can change the settings during use. The control pad is also covered in silicone which makes it easy to grip the buttons.

To turn the toy on, simply press and hold the plus button for a few seconds. The vibrations increase by keeping the button pressed. After cycling through all eight of the vibration speeds, it will go into the patterns. When you want to turn it off, you have to cycle back down through the modes by pressing the minus button which is rather annoying.

This candy-cane-like curve of the toy is very similar to the curve of the G-Ki except the G-Ki is firmer whereas the Delight has a bit more flexibility to it so bear this in mind for what works for you.

This vibrator is made from plastic and silicone which are both skin friendly materials, and EdenFantasys has given this a safety rating of 8 out of 10. The plastic is very firm and solid, and while the silicone is firm too, there is some limited flexibility in the shaft.

The silicone has a lot of drag to it, and that, coupled with the deeply curved shape of this vibrator, can make it difficult to insert or remove, so lubricant is an absolute must. The plastic material is safe to use with any kind of lubricant, but as about 40% of this toy is made from silicone, only water-based lubricant should be applied.

The Delight is rechargeable and doesn't take too long to recharge - just a couple of hours. The charger is magnetic and simply clips onto the two metal nodes on the back of the toy. A red light on the control panel indicates when the toy is connected and charging. The charger stays firmly attached; I have had toys where the magnetic charging connector was easily knocked off, but this isn't a problem with the Delight.

The lights also come on when the toy is switched on which makes it easy to use in the dark or under the covers.

Delight is splash proof, so while this means it can’t be submerged in water, it can at least be cleaned with a damp cloth and some soap or sex toy cleaning solution. There are lots of seams and crevices which trap dirt and make it difficult to clean – particular problem areas are the joints where the two materials meet, around the button pad and on the magnetic connectors – so it requires a little extra attention.

The packaging is very tastefully designed and would make for a beautiful gift. It has a cardboard sleeve which is gold and has polka dots on it which gives it a retro feel - especially when combined with an image of a woman wearing bright red lipstick and a pearl necklace. The reverse side of the sleeve shows an image of the vibrator itself. Although it's lovely packaging, the extra material makes this less eco-friendly.

The packaging is quite spacious and houses the Delight and its accessories very well, but you also have the option of using an included pouch which takes up far less storage space. The pouch is a shiny golden satin drawstring bag lined with another made from organza for storing it in and keeping it clean. The satin bag measures 5 inches by 8 inches whereas the organza bag measures 6 inches by 9 inches.

Experience
I bought my Delight from a UK sex toy retailer fairly recently, so there may be some differences in the packaging, etc., but the vibrator itself is exactly the same as the one here on EdenFantasys.

Once inserted, the Fun Factory Delight locks in place pretty well and can be used hands free, but it works much better when using your hand to apply more pressure and to use the toy in a rocking motion. I like to slip my index finger into the loop on the handle as leverage and use my little finger on the tiny flick of the curve to rock the toy whilst using my thumb to control the vibrations. The vibrations are quite powerful, and I find that I have to use a few cushions to muffle the sound on the higher settings.

If I was to line the clitoral nub up with my clitoris, the curve wouldn't reach my g-spot properly, so I use this just as a g-spot vibrator and slide a slim bullet vibrator onto my clit rather than trying to use it as a dual stimulator.

When the toy is switched off, a red light periodically flickers, and at first, I was worried about this wasting energy, but it doesn't seem to have much of an effect.

The storage bag isn't large enough to enclose the vibrator as well as the charger, but if you remove the organza bag from inside the satin one you could use one for the vibrator and the other for the charger, but this doesn't look nearly as luxurious. The organza drawstring stays firmly fastened, but I find the satin drawstring is looser and slides open easily.

While writing this review, I came across a fault with my Delight. The plus button became jammed while on the highest setting, and I wasn't able to turn my toy off or even change it to a lower setting. I had no choice but to leave it under a stack of pillows to hide the noise and wait until the battery had drained, so I could return and exchange it – it would have been too suspicious to post a vibrating parcel. There was never any issue with the button sticking before that, and I haven’t read about any similar issues with other reviewers, so I'm pretty sure it was a one-off defect.
Follow-up commentary
Although the Delight is still high on my list of favourite sex toys ever, mine hasn't seen the light of day since I bought the G-ki by Je Joue, so I decided to return it for a refund.
