Doc, I think I need a second opinion.

The Dr. Vibe is a quirky, feminine little attachment designed to add some kick to the Fairy Mini wand massager. A little lube makes it nice and smooth, but it might not fit your anatomy.

Use

The Dr. Vibe was designed as an attachment solely for the Fairy Mini. This attachment is a triple threat offering three distinct areas for stimulation: the large pink "tongue" for a feeling of vaginal fullness and G-spot stimulation, a soft, wiry silicone "mustache" for clitoral stimulation, and a thin, ribbed "rattle" for anal stimulation. Since it is 100% silicone, the vibrations of the Fairy Mini carry well through every inch of the Dr. Vibe and offers a unique sensation while in use. Use is simple; slide it on the Fairy Mini, add lube, crank the dial, and enjoy.

The Dr. Vibe works best for solo stimulation. While you could incorporate it into partner play, especially if your partner enjoys watching you with your toys or using them on you, the Dr. Vibe just doesn't leave much room for a partner to get in on the action. Also, this toy is better suited to those who use wand style vibes regularly or advanced users. The Dr. Vibe is just a little bit awkward in use and could be frustrating for beginners.

Material / Texture

As I said before, the Dr. Vibe is 100% silicone. It's nonporous, phthalate free, and has a squishy, gummy texture all over. It almost feels tacky in your hand until you add lube (water-based only) and then every surface feels smooth and buttery against your skin. Texture lovers of all sorts can find something to love about this attachment since every inch offers a different sensation. It's tickly, smooth, bulbous, contoured, and ribbed. The color is also fantastic! I love the translucent watermelon-pink shade and while the picture makes it hard to see, there are little silver sparkles scattered throughout the attachment.

There was a slight rubbery smell when you first open the package but it goes away quickly. There is also no taste (yes, I put my tongue on it to make sure!).

Design / Shape / Size

To me the Dr. Vibe looks very snake like. Stood up on the flat end, the tongue part looks like a cobra hood with a rattlesnake tail. The Dr. Vibe is much larger in person that it appears on screen. I was actually a little shocked when I opened it up. The total length of the attachment is five inches measured end-to-end but only 2.25 inches, at most, are insertable. The 2.25 inches measures the anal beads section of the toy while the tongue piece is a little shorter, but wide! The tongue piece is almost two inches across. I was able to handle both sections easily with lube but it is something to keep in mind if you prefer your toys on the less girthy side. The toy is heavier than it looks with most of the weight concentrated in the thick tongue piece. Overall, it is still very light at just four ounces.

I wouldn't exactly call this toy discreet, but its bizarre look also means if you accidentally left it out, the odds are slim that anyone would figure out what on earth you were doing with it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy was made specifically for the Fairy Mini. It slips easily onto the head of the Mini and stays securely on the toy while in use. The vibrations carry well through the silicone and feel great in use. The design was good in theory, but I couldn't make it work in practice. The anal beads and G-spot tongue were so close together (about a quarter of an inch) that I couldn't keep the beads inserted and that was a mood killer. Just as I would get into a rhythm and relaxed, bloop, they were out again.

Then, there was the problem with the clit tickler. Unfortunately, it was so far from my body that it didn't even touch my clit when the tongue was inserted. It might just be my anatomy, but it didn't perform. The problems I had rendered 2/3 of the toy pretty well useless for me. I did turn the attachment around completely and use the smooth side opposite the silicone projections on my clit for a while but that wasn't exactly what the toy was designed for and it left me wanting for more.

Care and Maintenance

The Dr. Vibe is 100% silicone and should only be used with water-based lubricants. To clean it you can rinse and with antibacterial soap and water then dry, or sterilize it by boiling it, running it through the top rack of the dishwasher without soap, or use a 10% bleach solution. There is no storage pouch for the Dr. Vibe to if you store it with other silicone toys, you may want to wrap it in a t-shirt or plastic bag. It also came with a decent box if you wanted to leave it there as well.

Packaging

The Dr. Vibe comes in a clear, rectangular plastic box with the picture of the toy and what looks like Japanese characters surrounding the bottom quarter of the package. There were no instructions, but they aren't really necessary for use. If you were giving someone a Fairy Mini, this might be a nice gift to include with it but it's not luxury packaging by an means.

Personal comments

I wanted to like the Dr. Vibe. I tested this toy over and over hoping I would find a way to make it work and I just never did quite get all the pieces working together. I'm going to take a break and see if some time away helps me see it in a new light when I come back to it, but for now Doc, I think I need a second opinion!
Follow-up commentary
I've tried and tried to love the Dr. Vibe, but nothing I do with it seems to work. It looked so promising with all its nubs and ripples, but my anatomy just didn't work with the design of the toy. If you want to keep the head of your Fairy Mini super clean, the Dr. Vibe's smooth side would make a great protective cap for it, but it's more expensive than stretching a condom or using cleaning wipes, so not very practical. Your anatomy may work better, but I'm going to have to relegate this to the island of misfit toys.

Great design, like a lot of attachments, but it just looks like it won't fit most people's anatomy. :/ *shrugs* Oh well. Great review none the less.
