The Dual Climax, or Shivery Climax, as its package calls it, is an interesting-looking little critter. It features a central control handle, with jacks for two interchangeable corded attachments, a little egg and a longer, nubby vibe. The two attachments have separate controls on the handle, which will take you from a soft buzz to some pretty bueno action.

The egg is nice, but sort of small (2 inches). As such, even when it got to the higher power levels, this attachment was sort of boring. The nubby vibe on the other hand, is LOVELY. It's twice as long as the egg (4 inches), and with raised nubs that let it live up to the "Shivery" part of its name very nicely. (These may make the longer attachment too intense for sensitive users or beginners.)

Now to the dual part. Immediately upon receiving this product, my partner wanted to try it out, egg for him and nubs for me. We plugged both attachments in, turned them on slowly ... and immediately burned one of the jacks out. It doesn't work to this day. The other side still works perfectly, and I still like to use this toy, particularly as an addition to clitoris-play. But I would not go out of my way to replace this product.

The material of the Dual "Shivery" Climax is hypoallergenic plastic, with no smell at all. It is also water safe. There are sealant rings where the cords meet the attachments, which make it easy and safe to clean in your sink with soap and water. But the cords aren't long enough that I would feel safe with, or recommend anyone else to try, using them in the bath or shower.

This toy is LOUD. I ONLY use it when I'm sure the roommate is gone, or with the TV on at a good blare. It's quieter in the lower settings, but it gets dramatically louder as you amp up the power. Insertion doesn't quiet the Shivery Climax very much. It's very indiscreet in appearance, as well, both the toy itself and the packaging. It's also somewhat of a battery guzzler, using 4 AAA batteries. On the other hand, if yours only half works like mine, you get twice the battery life.

First thing, this product is discontinued. Sorry, kids. I'm mostly just putting up a follow-up review for the LOLs and for the points. But there is a serious construction flaw that I noticed upon originally reviewing that I wanted to address.

My original review noted that part of the plastic casing on the control panel slipped out of place, making one of the power jacks not function at all. The plastic piece of the case CAN actually be snapped into its normal place, with a little force, making both jacks work normally. I found this out by accident shuffling things in my tool box.

HOWEVER, this also resulted in somewhat of a hot, electrical smell after moderately extended use. As such, I've retired this particular piece of hardware to strictly external, or very short duration of internal use, and would only recommend it to others for external use only.

Be safe, above everything else. If it feels bad, smells bad or acts bad, you should probably not use it at all.
