Rocket & lubricant 4-way pleasure kit - pocket rocket discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Suzie Cue

I was so excited for this when I ordered it, and even more so when I received it in the mail. This would have been my very first Pocket Rocket, and I was thrilled to use it to explore my own body, as well as being able to take it with me when I leave the house. However, I found myself rather disappointed.

The rocket itself is a wonderfully small size, perfect for hiding in a bag, purse, or pocket. The interchangeable heads make for many different ways to discover your own body's erogenous zones, or even for just a muscle-relaxing massage. However, it only has one level setting, POWERFUL, and only one sound setting, LOUD. When I first turned it on, my hand almost immediately went numb. It is hard to explore your own body when you are not only distracted by the vibration that travels all the way up your arm, but also when it vibrates so hard that it becomes difficult to hold onto.

The overall volume of sound that this small rocket produces is amazing. It was louder than even my first vibrator, which I replaced with another one due to its loud sound that can be heard through covers and doors. The vibrations are impossible to mistake for a cell phone as well. Overall, I was highly displeased with this rocket. It would be so much better if it had more than one setting. The vibrations were concentrated more so at the head.

The lubricant worked well enough. It wasn't really anything special, but for a one ounce bottle, it's something nice and convenient to have around just in case things get steamy and you don't have the time or patience to pull out a larger bottle. There are no particular bells and whistles with this lubricant, but it does what it's meant to, lubricate and ease friction. It's a water-based lubricant, but it's not thin, or sticky, and in my personal opinion it's the only saving grace of purchasing this product.

If you are a beginner, or do not live alone, I would not recommend this product.

While I did not enjoy my new rocket, I did use the lubricant with another toy of mine, the Black Magic Vibrator, and it worked wonders. It eased any friction, and allowed me to enjoy myself much more than I had previously. Thanks to this lubricant, and my experience with it, I plan on purchasing other brands of lubricants and learning what I like. Until now I had never used a lubricant, and I never knew just how much difference it could make in pleasuring oneself, either alone or with a partner.

This little rocket is still too strong, and still too loud. If you close your hand tight enough around it while it's on, you can feel the vibrations all the way into your clavicle, and it's not a pleasant feeling. I bought the purple one, and while I've gotten plenty of use out of the lubricant it came with, really that's about it.

I have used it a few times for sore muscles, and it helped a little, however it's still to loud and definitely still to powerful to be of much use for anything else. Unless of course you don't mind its really loud sound, and you're a power queen and therefore like having it vibrate THAT much. Then go for it! For me however this is definitely still a big fail. One of these days I'm going to get a different rocket, and I'm going to compare the two, hopefully I won't have the same problems with a different one as I have had with this one.

Honestly, you're better off just buying the lubricant, and leaving the rocket out of it.
