Body and Soul remote 2 - egg discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Breas

The Body and Soul Remote II arrived in a rectangular cardboard package. The front of the box states the product name, company name, and has a photo of the product. The back of the packaging lists a bunch of product features and the side of the box states the measurements of the toy. The bottom of the box states the company contact information, website, and material composition of the toy.



The contents in the box are sealed in a plastic bag. This includes the remote, toy, instruction sheet, and batteries. The instruction sheet is printed in English and states the instructions for battery usage, toy instructions, and warnings. The packaging could be used for storing the toy or it can be recycled.



I’ll be honest; I wanted this toy just because I really loved its appearance. Both remote and bullets are a beautiful metallic blue colour. The toy is made of ABS (plastic) and has a coating on it, which makes it feel velvety and smooth. There is a cute silver heart that acts as the controller to the remote. It’s too adorable!

The toy has one egg and one bullet to it. Both are attached with a black cord that measures 9 ¾ inches in length. The remote is wireless so it isn’t attached to the bullet and egg. It has an 8m range. This makes the toy great for couples play; having one partner control the toy with the remote while the other uses the toy either internally or externally. It could even be used in public as long as your partner was close by.

For safety reasons, I would not recommend using the toy anally. It would work well for external play on the clitoris with the other end being inserted vaginally. The Body and Soul could also be used for stimulating erogenous zones on your own or your partner’s body. The toy could also be used for couples play with one bullet stimulating the one partner while the egg, or vice versa, stimulates the other.

The toy uses 2x N size batteries and 1x 12V battery, which are included with the toy. The battery compartment to the remote is located at the back bottom. The compartment is easy to access and close. The remote takes the 12V battery. The other two batteries (N size) go into the egg.



The egg twists at its centre to access the battery compartment. Like the remote, it’s really easy to access/close. There is a clear O ring to this compartment to ensure no water gets into the toy so just be sure to close the egg really tightly. The toy is waterproof but the instructions indicate not to submerge the remote in water. So you could use the toy in the bath/shower as long as you or the person that is controlling the remote is not going to get it wet.

The remote is really easy to use and is light. The silver heart at the centre front of the remote is what you’d use to control the bullet and egg. There is a switch on the right hand side of the remote to turn the toy “on” and “off”. This is more of a travel feature- like a “lock” button. The button that you’ll use to turn the toy on and off is at the bottom of the heart.



The silver heart has 3 buttons: the left hand side is a decrease (-) button, the right hand side is an increase (+) button, and the bottom of the heart is the power button. To use the toy, you’ll want to first ensure that the locking button on the side of the remote is clicked over to “on”. If it’s not, you won’t be able to turn the toy on.



Pressing the bottom of the heart will turn the toy on. There is a screen on the remote, which is right above the heart controller. The screen is 1 ¼ x 1 ¼ inches in size. When you turn the toy on, the screen will light up for a second and show the numbers “00”. The “00” just means that the toy is on but not on any of the levels yet. There are ten different levels/patterns to the Body and Soul Remote II.

To cycle through the 10 different functions, just click the increase (+) button. To go backwards, press the decrease (-) button. The screen will let you know which function you are on by stating it’s number (ex. 04, 05, etc). The bullet and egg are controlled simultaneously so they will both be on at the same time even if you only want to use the one. The functions are as follows:

1. constant vibration, low
2. constant vibration, medium
3. constant vibration, high
4. pulsating, quick
5. pulsating, 3 short then 1 long and repeat
6. pulsating, long pulses followed by medium length pulses followed by quick pulses and repeats
7. long constant vibration followed by 9 quick pulses and repeats
8. escalating followed by quick pulses and repeats
9. escalating from low to high and repeats
10. long constant vibration followed by quick pulses and repeats

Once you’ve cycled through all ten functions, you’ll be met with the “00” again. To turn the toy off at any time you can just press the bottom of the heart. When you turn the toy back on, you’ll be back at “00” since it doesn’t save the function you left of on. I didn’t find the toy to have drag when I ran it across my arm because of the coating to the plastic. You can use silicone or water based lubricants with this toy.

The performance of the toy is what left me disappointed. The strength of the vibrations, even on the highest constant vibration, is quite weak. The vibrations are in between rumble and buzzy. On the highest constant vibration, you’re getting a 3 out of 5 vroom level. This will satisfy most people but I am a power queen and need at least a 4 out of 5. This really saddened me since a 3 out of 5 is barely a tease.

The noise level of the toy is quiet. Even on the highest setting you cannot hear it through a closed door. Oddly enough, I find the vibrations to be stronger in the bullet than in the egg (the smaller of the two). The vibrations can be felt through the entire egg and bullet though the vibrations are most prominent at the top of each. The 8m wireless range is accurate. We also tried the toy with a closed door and it worked perfectly.

Cleaning the toy is easy since it’s waterproof and has no texture to it. You can use soap and water, toy wipes, or a toy cleaner. You can use a bleach/water solution or rubbing alcohol to sterilize the egg and bullet.

I juggled between a 3 and 4 rating out of 5 with the Body and Soul Remote II. I decided to give the toy a 3 out of 5 because it's a fabulous toy as long as you don't need any strength to your vibrations. I love everything about the toy but it’s just too weak for my needs.
