The Rainbow is a waterproof, silicone vibrator that has multiple vibration patterns and strengths. It can be used for both clitoral and g-spot stimulation as well as nipple and other parts of the body. I prefer Rainbow for solo play, but there's no reason you couldn't enjoy it with a partner too. Rainbow is not suitable for anal play since it does not have a flared base. It is super quiet, so it is ideal for multiple living arrangements, given you have somewhere to hide all 10 inches of it!

Rainbow is made of 'medical grade silicone' and has the wonderful velvety smooth texture of great silicone. There is very little drag when I run my finger along the surface without lubricant or water. The tip of the toy is bulbous and smooth followed by six bumps that increase in girth the further down you go. The bumps are pronounced enough that you feel them as you move the Rainbow in and out but not so pronounced as to be uncomfortable. This is a texture that both beginners and advanced uses can enjoy. The shaft of Rainbow is slightly flexible but doesn't stay where you bend it. There is no odor or taste to the material.

Rainbow is 10 inches long with 6 of those inches being insertable. The circumference is 6 inches. The battery compartment is completely removable, you just unscrew the bottom and the battery compartment comes right out. If you're concerned about water getting into the battery compartment during cleaning, this ensures that the batteries are protected. Also, you can remove the battery compartment between uses to help preserve motor life and the batteries are kept together, not rolling around the bottom of your drawer or storage box. The controls are conveniently located on the bottom of the vibe and are easy to locate and operate. Rainbow has a very slight curve to it to allow for better g-spot stimulation. I'd say the size of the Rainbow is better suited for advanced users. Rainbow's length makes it hard to conceal, but it is very quiet so using it in close quarters in not an issue.

The vibrations for the Rainbow are focused in the tip but can be felt further down the shaft as well. There are three different vibration settings.
1. Steady vibration
2. Fast pulses
3. 1 long pulse followed by 4 fast pulses

To cycle through the vibration settings you simply push the left side of the bow shaped power button. To increase the power of the vibration, you hold the left button down and to decrease the power you hold the right button down. To turn Rainbow of you just push the right button and release it. Whatever setting you had Rainbow on when you turned it off will be what it is on when you turn it back on.

This toy is super quiet even on the highest setting. It can't be heard through a door, and definitely not over the shower. This toy is waterproof and performs wonderfully in the shower. I usually prefer the steady vibrations on most toys, but with Rainbow, it depends on how I'm using it. If I'm using it for clitoral stimulation, steady vibes are it. If I'm using it for vaginal insertion, I found I prefer either of the pulsing settings. I did find that I like the higher power for all of the vibration patterns. When I use the pulsing patterns for vaginal insertion it almost felt like the vibrations were traveling up and down the shaft, but when I hold it in my hand and turn it on, the vibrations are definitely stationary.

Silicone toys should not be used with silicone-based lubricants. Water-based lubricants work great! To clean the Rainbow, you can use water and soap, a bleach solution, or toy cleaner. Storage for Rainbow is a cinch because Papaya Toys includes a nice drawstring storage bag. It's black, smooth, and shiny. I'm not sure if it silk or satin but I do know that it helps keep the lint and hair off Rainbow when it is not in use. Another good thing about the included storage bag is that it ensures that your Rainbow isn't rubbing up against other silicone toys and getting damaged or damaging others. Rainbow is on the longer side, so that may be the only obstacle to storage.

Rainbow is a beautiful green (mine at least) vibrator. I love the color and the options it gives me. At first I thought it would be awkward to use because of the length, but the ridges along most of the length made for some fun stimulation. I prefer to start out with the steady vibration setting on a medium power strength against my clit to get things warmed up. Once I am feeling like I'm ready, I change the setting to a higher strength and move on to insertion. I like to switch to the pulsing patterns after that and just enjoy the sensations. Since the Rainbow is somewhat flexible I have found that I can bend it enough to get some clitoral stimulation while thrusting. This is where the length and the bumps on the shaft come in handy. The silicone really feels wonderful, especially with some water-based lube. It warms to your body temp and glides smoothly along your skin. This is my first and only Papaya Toy, and I have to say, I wouldn't turn down another one. :)
