Flash doesn't stimulate dually - but still is worth a quick look!

The Bimini Flash is a cute, small rabbit style vibrator that is unique because of it's "click and charge" way of recharging. The magnet in the charger is attracted to the base of the toy. Because of this unique charging, the Flash is truly a rechargeable, waterproof vibrator. Because of the very small dimensions of the toy, it may not provide dual stimulation for all. It, however, is a rather strong vibrator that is worth checking out.

Use

The Bimini Flash is a rabbit style vibrator that is designed for both fun in and out of the water. It should provide dual stimulation, though this can vary greatly depending on the exact users anatomy. Because of it's small size, it will be appealing to both beginners and to women who know they prefer a smaller toy. It's powerful vibrations and easy to hold size means it can also be a great clitoral stimulator in the water.

Material / Texture

The Flash is made of a hard plastic and 100% silicone. The color I received is a nice matte purple/pink and has absolutely no odor. The material does provide a nice drag sensation if used without lubricant. Because water based lubricant is safe with this material, it could easily be used by both beginners and advanced users alike.

Design / Shape / Size

I know I've mentioned this several times in other reviews, but clitoral to vaginal distance makes a huge difference in the way rabbit style vibrators will work for women. With that being said, the clitoral stimulator on the Bimini Flash is the shortest I've come across. The part that is designed to be inserted is also on the smaller end, so depending on how deep your g-spot is, depends on how well it will stimulate you.

The fact that this toy is rechargeable, waterproof, and quite powerful for it's size means that it makes a wonderful addition to luggage, even if it doesn't work as a dual stimulator. The only downfall with traveling is making sure that the toy doesn't accidentally turn on during transport.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Bimini Flash is awesome in the fact it is waterproof. It charges through a click and charge method. The charger comes packaged separately and magnetically pulls towards the base of the toy. When the red light is blinking you know the Flash is charging. The first charge takes approximately 6 hours. A full charge will last for one hour on the highest setting. The magnet piece can be a bit finicky, so once you have the light on, try to just set the toy down while it charges.

There are 8 (maybe 9) different intensities of continuous vibrations. The buttons are identified by a + & - molded into the silicone. They are easy to press. To turn the Flash on, hold the + button for 2 seconds. Either click or hold to increase strength. Hold or click the - button to decrease strength and eventually turn the Flash off. There is no lock feature available.

The toy is rather quiet, not able to be heard through a thin door. It also is completely waterproof and has held up through multiple washings and a trip in the tub.

One word of caution: as the charging mechanism relies on magnets, it may effect cards with magnetic strips (credit cards, passports). So be sure to not pack these close to one another or you may have an interesting trip!

Care and Maintenance

The Fun Factory Bimini Flash can easily be cleaned with any toy cleaner or soap and water. Because it is waterproof, clean up is a breeze. Only water based lubricants should be used, though some silicone lubricants have successfully been used with Fun Factory's silicone - just be sure to perform a test spot first. The toy should ideally be stored in a small pouch separating it from other toys in case of material reaction.

Packaging

This comes in Fun Factory's traditional package. Instructions are included in multiple languages. The charger is packaged separately. As I am in the US, I received a US charger (though EU, UK, & AUS are also apparently available). Also in the package with the vibrator is a sample of Fun Factory's lubricant and the "drool sheet" - a nice photo spread of all of Fun Factory's toys that will surely leave you wanting a few more.

Personal comments

Because the vibrator is packaged separately from the charger, I'd love the option of just getting the vibe now that I own the charger. Any sex toy owner who is loyal to a brand can relate with having 5-10 of the same exact charger wondering what to do with them all.

Nice review - I agree, it would be nice to have the option of just purchasing a toy without a charger, but then....what if you wanted to line them all up and charge them at once? All kidding aside, it is a good idea. Nobody really needs 5-10 of the same charger!

  • The two Funfactory Bi-minis
    • Bimini flash and Bi-mini ocean both look nice. Has anyone tried both of them and what is your opinion on the two? Does one outperform the other? If so why?
    • I haven't tried the Flash, but I've tried the Ocean, and I like it. The clitoral bump doesn't actually reach my clit, but the vibrations are nice, and the size is on the smaller end, but still good for internal use. I imagine the Flash would be pretty similar, given that they're in the same line of toys.

  • Chargin Problems?
    • Does anyone else have problems with their Fun Factory rechargeable vibrators recharging? I can never get ,ine to charge! I have to wiggle the cord and mess around with the vibrator for like 20 minutes to get it to charge....anyone else?
    • I don't have a problem with my Bubbles. I smooth out the cord and plug it into the wall socket close to my nightstand, put the toy with the charging end facing the edge of the nightstand and attach the magnetic charger onto the toy, the charger cord is left hanging in midair without any obstacles touching it. Just make sure the FUN word on the charger attaches over the FUN word on the base of your toy at the exact position, the light will come on to show it's charging.

      Hope that helps.
    • Maybe contact Fun factory. It's possible they have some tips or worse case, if you got a dud, maybe they can replace it.
