Flexible, Spiraling texture; Spinning your game? Beginner? This toy may be for you!

The Silicone Fun Vibes Wave's best use resides as Clitoral Stimulus: a fresh mix up and alternative to the average Pocket Rocket and Bullet. The toy's small girth is also easily insert-able with some lubrication; for this purpose it could make for a good Beginner toy to eventually get the ball rolling for "Girthier" toys.

Use

Being a traditional vibrator, the Silicone Fun Vibe Wave's use really depends on each user; therefore, a learning curve of what works for you will ultimately occur. I've found that the wave focuses its vibrations at the tip; because of this, it allows for a good and interesting clitoral stimulus. However, as a traditional penetrative vibrator, I've found it falls somewhat short. The wave texture, for me, didn't seem to add any extra pleasure. I anticipate wave texture spiraling up the shaft was intended for spinning. This texture may then interest some who enjoy toys with textures meant for this sensation. The toy's flexible material does add to the toy's appeal by possibility of use as non-vibrating vaginal penetrator. The small girth, to some, may make this toy seem like a nice beginner anal toy. However, due to lack of flared base I highly discourage any anal use.

Material / Texture

I enjoyed the flexibility of the the toy but not it's material, TPR Silicone. The vibrator's flexibility very much adds to the appeal as it allows for a less intimidating insertion. Because of this, the toy can possibly act as a non-vibrating beginning/advanced dildo for vaginal insertion. However, the material does not glide very well and requires a lot of lubrication. Being made of TPR Silicone, it only allows use with water based lubricants. Because of this, insertion is particularly difficult in a bath setting. You'll have to wait until you're wet enough to insert this toy without any difficulties.

For me personally, I found the texture to be unnecessary and non-stimulating. The texture made it especially hard to insert in a bath setting. I would have preferred this toy have a smooth texture. However, The waves that spiral around the shaft, I believe, are geared towards users who like a spinning sensation. If you enjoy this, I can imagine this toy being a great vibrating/non vibrating toy for insertion.

Design / Shape / Size

Aesthetically, The toy's simple design looks fairly appealing from the promotional images. I do especially love the dial's design; it freshens and mixes things up from traditional dials like those of, Spellbound Stud Curved Jack. However, out of the box and in person, the toy's aesthetics seem a bit sloppy. The shaft has noticeable mold flaws and the color is fairly faded.

Functionally, the toy's design is difficult. Most notably, because the toy requires a generous amount of lube, your hands are inevitably going to become slippery. The dial becomes very hard to turn without shifting attention off the excitement of the moment.

The toy's girth is very good for beginners; the texture may bother some but with lubrication it will slip right in.

Functions / Performance / Controls

As a traditional vibrator, I found the wave fell short. On the plus side, I loved the flexible material; it added for the possibility for a non-vibrating, good-for-thrusting, beginning dildo. But the texture and material made insertion difficult without lubrication. This was only bothersome in a bath setting because TPR Silicone is only compatible with water based lubricants. Once inserted, the texture didn't seem to hit any spots or add anything to the experience. However, because the vibrations are focused at the tip, it acts as a great clitoral stimulus. Paired with the flexibility of the toy, it makes an exciting change from your average bullet and Pocket Rocket, with the added bonus of being an insert-able vibrator and dildo. The vibrations are fairly strong, for beginners at least, but leave you pulsating for more once you've reached the highest setting.

The noise level of the toy is not too high. It cannot be heard in other rooms. So, use in the bath or shower should serve you no problems. It can be heard if another person is in the same room with you, however. I'd say the vibrations are a bit quieter than a cell phone's vibrations.
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet
    • Hard to figure out

Care and Maintenance

The toy's material, TPR silicone, is fairly safe; the toy is very easy to clean. As with most toys, clean with warm water and anti-bacterial soap before and after each use. And use of the occasional toy cleaner. It also has the tendency to pick up a bit of lint and such. It also does not have the ability to be placed standing on its base. Because of this, it does add for some short term storage problems if you're not willing to care for the toy directly after use. I keep a cloth or some other clean material next to my bed, on my nightstand, where I can set the toy on after use. I make sure to store it separate from my other toys. A plastic bag will do. The toy is also not too porous. As long as you follow the above steps, you'll be fine!
    • Easy to clean
    • Difficult to store for short term

Packaging

The packaging of this product was very minimal: a bit too minimal. The toy came in a elliptical shaft. Inside, the box contained no instructions for battery insertion, care, type of uses, or where the toy's vibrations were centered. The advertisements on the box vaguely described the toy's uses and further adds to the learning curve of this toy.
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable
    • Not imformative

Personal comments

Overall, the price of this toy killed it for me. For $30, it seems a bit over-priced. Beginners, If you want a starting toy, this toy may be for you. Other more advanced users, however, may find the toy a great non-vibrating dildo for vaginal insertion accompanied with a great clitoral stimulus and a traditional vibrator packed in one toy. And for those who like that spinning sensation, paired with the flexible material, this toy may be for you.

As I gain more experience with the toy in the coming months, I'll make sure to add a follow-up review.

Great review! Just the right mix of detail and personal experience. I prefer plastic for vibrators, so it's just as well this is gone.
